What is her claim to fame? That she struts around as a cricket commentor! She doesn't know her ABCs of cricket. Don't know why we have news on such insipid farces of role models on this website. Will everyone please stop shoving Mandira Bedi and Shilpa Shetty into our faces?
once again, she is vip red street, why have to make hangama on this. there people who puts tiles with deitie's in bathroom, even i have seen mecca and medina photos in bathroom. some westerner call their dog as allah/shiva etc. we can't do anything about it. it is crucked mind set of the rich. if it is done by illiterate we can teach him/her it is done cunning vip kissers of money.nothing even judiciary can do about as most of them are these film stars and model's customers. let real good people concentrate on real issues, shivsena or rss if they do good to all people to raise their living income and better their living standara people will be with them whether it is congress or bjp or muslims of communists all of their politicians even if they grown and born in slums are now one among rich in india. an MP or MLA from slum who is one time in parliament/assembly become a crorepathi in two years. how? no judge get a salary more than 50000 rupees in india and he/she become millionare in 5 to 10 years how there are corruption ,fanatism as bigger issues in india. shivsena, bjp congress everybody is corrupted. why blame vip prosti tute for wearing flag saree on feet there are IAS officer using it as welcome pow in front of door. there are mla and mps who tie their parti flag on top of indian flag, there are people who can't sing national anthem, there are people who can't ahng a terrorist, there are people who can't take gelani's in jail., there are activist who barks only when muslim die, there are people running porn centers and pros in every nook corner with the help of ministers or mlas and judges. so leave this vip red street
It is not the question of who wore the saree, but who made it. Was it only one unitary saree, or there are many more in the market? Let us examine this issue closely, and not execute someone for the sake of some pride. How many Union Jacks, Stars and Stripes, have been made into panties and other underwears, and we have not heard any criticism or any outrage over the issue. As someone said on this board, people trample the Indian flag, others while holding commit all sorts of crimes, and yet try to be loyal to the flag. The question is, is the fabric of the country or the fabric of a piece of cloth more important?

May be the flags were placed based on the performance of the Teams in this world cup. Obviously she depicted our position very low. Although wished she wore it closer to the heart. Just surprising that what ever these so called celebraties do catch attention and attarcts controvercy.
Whats the big deal about this? Americans, Europeans wear bikinis having their national colors designed on it. Are they less proud of their countries? Are those nations better off or worse than India? Until we can stop wasting time on matters that do nothing more than uh...just waste time, we will never mature as a nation. Never be where the developed world is today. Hindi movies display vulgarity in its cheapest form to hundreds of millions of Indians and yet we want to arrest Richard Gere for kissing Shilpa Shetty in public. Instead of trying to think how to play cricket the way the Aussies do, we waste time on Mandira's choice of clothing. Wake up India for God's sake. It's about time.

Different country different laws. Just because it's ok in some countries doesn't make it right here. My problem with this issue is who made the shivsaniks our cultural police. I see Taliban in the making.

i agree with Harman, these self proclaimed policemen have nothing else to do in their life but to make life of a normal individual hell...
No not really it should not matter... But It matters to me who wears it. If its Mother Teresa or Lata Mangeshkar no issues but a dumb ass who does not know how to wear and what to do should be kicked... You suck Mandira you dont have to create controvesy to be famous; its a talent of a person and not the flesh!
it was really heartening to see that people in India still have thatrespect for the National flag. Atleast they are'nt copying some Western countries where you find the flag anywhere and everywhere from shorts to place mats.
so much fuss... haven't anyone of u seen what happens to hundreds of flags lying in the trash n on the road after independence n republic day.. n people walking all over them... and what happened when lalu prasad didn't even stand for the national anthem...
Our patriotism and respect is so selective and sadly targeted in such an absurd direction...
people all over the world wear n display the their flag so proudly.. it's time we learnt to respect our flag n freedom much more than 2 hours on 15th august n 26th january..
politicians courteously raising the flags have mostly the untent of looting our nation. while mandira wore a saree and with a flag near her leg while many of our literally trample the flag in their minds flag beneath their legs. be sensible to understand the reality.
It is not clear if she was aware of the presence of the Indian flag in her attire before she wore it.If she had done it knowingly then she is indeed guilty of insulting the tricolor

i hope law has been enacted to relax the rigidity in useage of our flag but not to demean it. The problem is it was near her feet.
