Sri lanka have to be very causious in the first 10-15 overs with out losing early wicket. Jysuriya has to tackle mgrath pace with care. If SL scores above 260 , murali will work out his magic and triumpt
My heart as like most others wants to see a Sri Lankan Victory but looking at it with more of a cricketing brain , I hope anyone would agree that Australia possess better chance to win with their extradinary momentum in this tournament.
But regardless of the result , one person who probably did not get enough praise is perhaps Mahela Jayawardena. He was made as captain probably during the tougest of times and what a transformation he has produced to this SL side with the help of Tom Moody. Congrats Mahela.
Indian Selectors must take a leaf out of this move and probably settle down for a young aggressive captain who ofcourse is sure of his place in the side. I prefer Yuvraj for the role.

SL will win if they score 270 if they bat first or restrict the opponent to 270 if they field first. SL and AUS are evenly matched in terms of skill. Australia may have slight edge in batting although their lower order was never tested. Bowling edge goes to SL, especially if their players play first ten overs cautiously if asked to bat first. Both teams have excellent fielding. Menatlly both are strong.
It is true that SL lost to AUS in super 8, but AUS took 44 overs to score about 225. SL rested their aces -- Malinga and Murali for that game. If SL wins the toss, they should field and will easily win the match. If they lose the toss and have to bat first, their chances will diminish unless they are very careful during first fifteen overs. Toss will give unfair edge to the side that calls it correctly.
Should be a memorable one. I look forward to tomorrow's game. Let us support SL even with our reservation about Murali and Malinga's style.
Final will most exacting match of the WC. Aus will be on top but Murari, Malinga, Vasa will change the game. If Sri Lanka hit 90-100 runs in 1st 15 overs without losing wicket, match will be more exacting. Raj, Thrissur (Kerala)
If australia wins, it would have beaten Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka in three consecutive finals. Given the trend, perhaps one can expect bangladesh losing to Australia in the next world cup finals!
