Tendulkar does have an attitude problem and he should be fired just for that reason. BCCI should consider Chappell%u2019s comments about seniors seriously and should take appropriate action. Thos who have attitude problem should not be in the team. Tendulkar%u2019s statement to the media about his unhappiness is an example of the attitude problem. Please note that he is concerned about his reputation. Who cares about his reputation? We care about India's reputation in cricket; that is what matters. Unfortunately, nobody is talking about India's reputation. I agree completely what is said in this article. Be assured that tomorrow%u2019s meeting is going to be an eyewash.

You are correct. Shewag and Ganguly should be out with Tendulkar. I think Zahir still has some potential and Juvaraj should be made captain.

Arvind, I think most of us who, over the years, followed Indian cricket, BCCI , Selection panels, Pawars and Vengsarkars..would have thought the same. Alas, we still wont be able to do anything..I have been a "crazy" Sachin fan over the years..but everyone knows that when Sachin plays..he keeps the records somewhere in his mind.. No one, except Mr Chappel , probably dared questioning his attitude..I think it really takes guts. We all know anyone questioning him or Ganguly to some extent, would find no support from the "influential" people. It would be shame..if sachin is made captain..just so that Nationalist Congress wins elections and Vensarkars reputation in Mumbai remains intact..would be disastorous.. And we the people supporting this faction instead of Chappel would be doing disservice to millions of indian cricket fans, the aspirants..and the very future of our game our passion. If someone made a mistake..lets dare punish them..doesnt matter if its Sachin "The most popular cricketer". If the stars like Harbhajan , agarkar, ganguly , shehwag keep failing..and at the same time not accept their mistakes, let do away with them.. Arent we that made them star..I am sure we will find worthy replacements. And this time we will be more careful before we make some from the "new generation" star!! Guys..its about us!!

What a rubbish argument Lavkare is making.. if he doesn't get points to build an article, better go off.. whatever incidents he has cited againts Sachin's so called bursts are really funny. Any average cricket fan would be able tell you about it.. how can be someone's expressing an opinion without critisizing other could be a bad attitude? Sachin just reacted to comments about rift between juniors and seniors. I think Lavkare has got attitude problem. Remember "millions of dim-witted sycophants in Mumbai" played down Sachin when he failed on Wankhede.. the same people stood behind Ganguli. Remember after historic win over Aussis in 2000-01, Ganugli first thanked Gavaskar for support. At that time, entire media was for the blood of Ganguli before series and Gavaskar alone stood behind him. Lavkare talks of Sharad Pawar's marathi bias. It this is true, India would have seen Powar and Jaffer in place of Bhajji and Shewag. Also, LAvkare only knows the logic(?) behind NCP's projected loss due to Tendulkar.. Sachin are you listening? Join NCP..

Thanks Rakesh You wrote adjectly what I want to. I never says that Tendulkar in not responcible for our defeat in World Cup, becoz he is a part of the team that loose badly, but the way Mr. Lavkare describe all thing are not right at all.
Arvind doesn't understand cricket. He did that previously comparing Bradman to Sachin. I wonder if he ever saw Bradman play not to say if he ever watched Tendulkar play. There probably is some truth in his article but the way he put it shows his bias against Tendulkar which is more than a decade old? right Arvind ?
This is one of the silliest article that I've ever read. Looks like, this guy has some grouse against Marathis. It's very wrong to take a one-sided view and then attribute regionalism to it. How professional is it on part of any coach to leak reports to the media? He should face the players and the board directly; not conduct a smear campaign in the media on the sly. As for the Pakistan series, anyone would have felt sad at being unable to hit a double century against our arch-rivals. If Tendulkar was sulking, it definitely didn't show when he came onto bowl and got rid of Moin Khan the next day. Tendulkar has played most of his career in the opener slot and he is most comfortable there. Mentioning that does not mean that he has an attitude problem. Atleast Tendulkar never leaked to the media that he was unhappy with being pushed down to the middle order. His statements were said directly; which obviously means he was ready to clarify it with his coach and captain. Dravid was the captain for the WC, if he let himself supposedly hijacked by the senior players mafia, then it means we had a spineless captain. Anyway with Chappell backing him, he should have had no problem in taking the decisions. As for batting first against Bangladesh, there was nothing wrong in it. What if India had lost the toss and anyway were put in to bat first? Is Chappell trying to say that then it would have been okay to lose to Bangladesh. The toss was inconsequential; we batted badly and a huge part of the blame lies with Tendulkar. There is no denying that; but don't start a stupid smear campaign against him. It's okay to have an opinion of his batting abilites but to besmirch a man's character is not done.
