If a company fails to earn profit... Chairman gets the boot. If any country fails... PM/ Presiden is held responsible... for all failures, leader would be responsible. There may be 109 causes behind it... still leader has to accept the blame...
Senior players/ failure of batsmen... whatever, responsible would be the leadership, which is Chapel and dravid.

Fully agreed. But what will the coach do if the players do not play as instructed by him or what will the captain do if his team mates do not want to listen to him..........I will give u a classic example.........During the match against Srilanka, Agarkar in Malinga's Over went back and on one knee tried to swipe the ball over mid on but did not connect.....Dravid the non striker goes to him and asks him to calm down....... the second ball is outside the off stump and again Agarkar goes for a mighty sweep and again the captain goes down to him and asks him to calm down.......if this was a Australian or South African or Bangladesh player they would have listened to the captain & would have taken a single the next ball and handed the strike over to the non striker......but what did Agarkar do the next ball he again goes for a big hit and gets caught in the deep and walks back giving his captain a scornful look..............so where does your contention of Dravid being accountable for the team failures. First, understand the situation and then give your comments.
First let him explain who is Youngster..is the player..who has played not more than 10 match or the players who has not yet started their carrier. In the current team expcept major 5 players all otheres are yougsters. Whom else he need? Sreshantha, patan, Munaf, Dhoni, Uttappa..these are the players who not yet compleeted thrie 50 matches in ODI. They are from last two years. Is they are not youngsters? When Cahppel is not able to make the experiecne players to play well in critical situaation, then how can he able to teach new players to play againest team like Australia, Newzeland, Southafrica. He has to learn..Not to trian the players, But make them to play well.
The root cause of this entire thing is Sachin Tendulkar. He has not only been a non-performer for 4 years resting on past laurels and glories against minnows rather than current form, he's now not even listening to the coach. And, anyways sachin fans are so hypnotised to believe that he's gone (which he is). Why cant he retire for his own good and the good of his country. He's been totally self-centered.
Earlier dada was sacked due to his "attitude" problem. What about sachin now? Logically he must be sacked.

Mr. Balaji, I fully endorse your view, Sachin is surely a selfish cricketer, He has always put himself first on any occassion. For him, what matters most is his individual glory. He is not a team man. He should have been sacked a long time ago, but thats not the case here, After playing for over 17 years and with all the wealth he has accumalated I am sure he has good contacts in the board which is why he is still in the team.
Shame on you SACHIN TENDULKAR, the best punishment for this greedy cricketer is to strip him off his wealth and fame and make him a pauper.
There are many views aired in favour / agaist Mr Chappel . I would only like to address just one -- ETHICS. It was Mr Chappel , who masterminded under arm bowling in first class cricket. In India , starting from e mail leack, gesturing public in Eden Gardens, abusing our Parliamentarians and finally accusing the chief selectors and all SENIORS of Indian Team !!! So do not blame any body including Mr Chappel .Please remember Indians take popular sports with passion . Keep your concise clear. Dibyendu .Hyderabad.

ha! ha! go to hell,if guys like Ganguly and Dravid, don`t play then who will? few months ago,Chappell`s all-for-youth policy backfired and you were shouting bring back Ganguly, bring back Zaheer, etc. and now you are saying throw them out.that`s pig-headed impulsiveness! when the new ones fail, you`ll again shout bring back Ganguly, bring back Sachin! we need to change the coach, someone who can remind the 'cricketers' how to play outside India.

why not the so called super stars of the indian team...tell me a name who is worth to be in the team!!!!
It is crucial to note that both the Tier-I Nations edged out had rotten fielders. Chappel tried, but failed to groom youngsters for the Team. Lets face it guys, we were known for producing ace bowlers. Our Batsman have been on the decline for soem time now. There is a dirth of good batsman in the wings.
Better fielding could only have given us an edge. Other teams have been saving 50-60 runs in every match through sterling fielding efforts.
What we need is a complete system overhaul and by identifying and grooming young talent for the next WC.
3/4/07 Dear sirs chappell is responsible for training the boys properly.he has give bad blow to gaugly after removing from circket. shame to BCCI MEMBERS CALLED GANGLY back to play southafrica he has done the best. the rest of the cricketers failed first learn to do good feilding, then batting&bolwing. chappell did coach them properly at all. always blaming the batsmen and bolwers without coaching them properly. remove chappell and put good indian coach for india like kapildev ,kirmani , gakewad, sandeeppatil etc. now improve india play forget the past and think of the future. still you repair your mistake. play good. best of luck to all indian. do exercise daily and practice daily. regards kumar

Chappell is not responsible. It is BCCI and our team who is fully responsible for the same. For the time being Sehwag and Sachin should be dropped from inlt' cricket.

Depends what terms and infrastructure will BCCI be giving to the coach. The coach's job is to coach but if the team plays like they have never played first class cricket it is certainly not the coach's fault. It is not just one player, the entire team failed to perform. Even the captaincy was pathetic, selection of team was a poor decision. Some of the decisions were even funny like to keep Harbhajan in team. Choosing to play Kumble in Bermuda's match and playing Harbahajan in crucial matches, to me possibly indicates some politics and the same for Sehwag
Harbhajan ia a pakka pedastrain Bowler now a days..if u see the reality.... Just becuse of Harbhajan we are out of this world cup so soon..the way he bowled.. like..a Gully cricket bowler.. aganist Srilanka he gave 55 runs for 10 overs without wicket..why can't other Spinners like Murali Karthik, Piyush Chawla...or Power itself..take his place...B'cuse Harbhajan has big influennce from punjab cricket board. Through him out!!!!!... he does all these politics in team itself... now they (dada & him) would already planned to remove coach creg & Captain Dravid from thier places.. dada his god father is back in team..(Remeber earlier Incident that he supported dada) I'm sure that...Harbhajan.is a .Viruse in Indian Cricket team...first remove that Virus then we will discuss about tha team..

I agree with what Vikram Says about Harbhajan ..., Even before the team selection for the worldcup .. the statistics for the past 10 match says that .. Powar is far better player that harbhajan .. I still remember the numbers .. he took ~20 wickets .. where as harbhajan took just 10 wickets and hic wicket taking ability has gone down in one-day cricket. He doesn't really help dravid as a 4 th bowler in breaking up the partnerships .. he was not even break a partnership against Bangaldesh and Srilanka .. powar could have been a better choice against Bangladesh and Srilanka atleast in breaking up the crucial partnerships .. throw that Junk harbhajan away .. and give chance to youngsters ..
