Why west opposing bitterly but India soberly
by Rajkumar V on Apr 17, 2008 12:38 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

West wants to increase bitterness between India and China so that both cannot cartel on products they export to west. If both contries get into a cartel the cheap products west is getting will be costlier and also this cartel will drag other developing nations in to their group thus further increasing prices. Lower costs are due to low labour wages in developing countries, cartel will allow labour wages to increase and thereby better the economic condition of labourers and provide better budget for R&D leading to new patents. In India unskilled / semiskilled wages are just Dollar30 to 50 per mth and in US it is Dollar1500 to 2000 per mth hence west imports cheap goods but exports monopoly patented products to developing countries, gaining in from both way.

There are no Indians worth mentioning who organise a protest against the brutal chinese oppression. A handful of Tibetans are left alone to make some noce. It is a shame on us that we do not orgainse or participate with the Tibetance.
Mr.Karat and Yechry must be given the torch to be taken during its sujourn in India. These shameful Indians will have a feeling of pride on India soil if they do it. They will be ready to run through the whole of India and the Indian goverment can save money for the security arrangement. Because the communist will bring their head hunting caqdets from Kannur, Kerala and roudy cadets from Kuttanad who prevented the farmers from using harvesting machines

by ashok kumar on Apr 17, 2008 12:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

China planning to unleash its military on Tibetans after the olympics....Chinese military personnel carriers have already been positioned in Tibet's chief cities....Once Tibet is silenced, its Taiwan's turn next....and once Taiwan is taken(peacefully as the Chinese would like to call it), China will get more ambitious..... India-US-Japan alliance is the need of the hour...India cant be nuetral all the time........

Communist think that by having majority one or two small states thay have the mandate to dictate policy for the whole of India. Majority of Indians dont care about their opinion.

india is a democratic country
by SLVP on Apr 17, 2008 11:55 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The Tibetans have got full right to protest in free and democratic india . Similarly the olympic flame should also pass through.
The only thing to be guarded is NON VIOLENT protest. The protestors should not create law and order problem .
This is the EXACT difference between INDIA and CHINA

Dear Bharat Singh,
Mind your words. All who support China are nor communist. In fact there is no communism in China. Please go to China once before you talk. Please see the development China has done in Tibet before you talk. All these gimmicks are done by Tibetan refugees who do not have any work. There are of course many Indians like you who will support as you do not have any work. I traavel all around China twice an year and it is an absolutely free country with very happy people and happy with their government. It is 50 years ahead of India in development. What they do not like is wasting time on protests like medha patkhar and people of your ilk.

What do folks know to criticize about China? Tibet wants freedom from China to do what? What have they lost being under Autonomous rule....they dont have their normal life affected. The issue is one of tibetans who dont stay in their country but outside and still crow about its freedom. What development can tibetans do without inclusion of Han Chinese. Just because we have animosity to China doesnt mean we start criticizing them for any issue in tibet. Tibetans are known to the world because of Chinese take-over and they are bound to gain with influx of folks from Mainland china. "Free Tibet" kind of organizations can politicize this to gain mileage but thats just about what they can do;They dont even respect the Dalai Lama when he calls for peace during Olympic Torch runs; India has the right and "tolerance" to allow the protests/rally to go and none of the protestors have any right to try and disrupt it.

I am not supporter of invasion or Communists or Congress or BJP folks but countries/regions are to be seen for development, not for political reasons

Also calling people dogs, traitors doesnt help -- i am as indian as every other person on this message board is; without knowing Chinese developmental involvement in these autonomous and SARs, please dont comment with insults.

Hope you guys wake up coz i assure "Tibet is going to be under Chinese rule FOREVER"....one doesnt want to accept...Sad but true; Just like how we cant accept we are 50 years behind where China is tod

Suresh Kalmadi, the chief of the Indian Olympic Association should be thrown out first. people like him without any vision or mission has spoiled the indian sports. god knows how many years he was there in that post and the graph of indian athletics is going down steadily.

Olympics
by Krishna on Apr 17, 2008 11:35 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Olympics in 1956, 1972, 1976, 1980, 1984 were boycotted by several nations for reasons ranging from communist aggression, apartheid, cold-war egos. China successfully pressurized Canada during Olympics in 1976 to boycott Taiwan. Olympics and world Politics go together as it is the grandest stage of human get-together where disputes can be highlighted, and only a lame person will say Olympics should be free from politics. Who can forget the Munich Olympics where an unknown PLO(and it's leader Yasser Arafat) came to the limelight by stage managing the murder of 11 Israeli Jews.
