Iqbal, For that matter a women can cover up her body from head to toe with a saree propely(with out exposing the belly like air hostess of india airlines) or with a churiidaar or with a ghagra choli, but hardly find anyone who wears this indian outfits in mecca. so there was a comment on men wearing western clothes i guess. when they can wear wetern outfits y cant women wear india outfits and y only women are pressed to wear a hijab or burqa.

Who said islam gives the highest status to women. it degrades women by forcing a particular lifestyle upon them. The so called hindus( i hate to use the word hindu as the word is given by arabs and never is found in the so called ancient or hindu scriptures) worship women in different forms. Mother is given a highest status. I dont deny that religions like islam dont respect mother, but still a women hasnt any freedom. Women is treated as a commodity and so asked to cover herself up with what ever kind of veil be it a hijab or burkha. Why not educate men to look at women with a respectable feeling. Its like not diagnosing the root of an ailement but it is like covering up a wound.
She looks stunning in what ever dress she wears. I am against zias commend, she is visiting a holy place and she is respecting the dress code of that place and she cant play tennis wearing burkha hahha , she is true woman , I love you sania
I feel the rediff is either backed by RSS or you simply don't have any constructive mind or News. No body of any religion goes to their worship place in two peace. That is a simple local dress. I feel peoples should keep their mouth shut. we are not here to listen their stupid comments. Any religion is far above than any bodies representation.
