Let us assume that governmenet accepted the demands of Gujjars. They get SC/ST status Next Demands from them : Reservation for Gujjars in Indian Cricket Team Atleast Rajasthan royals should have 4 Gujjars.

No Mr Amit you are extremely wrong!!! What do u have to say about meenas who alone for several years enjoying monopoly as a ST status with every every MEENAS getting selected in IAS & other govt jobs...i suggest to remove reservation tag from all castes including OBS & ST. let all come under one umbrella..its the political parties who play reservation cards to gain vote bank...Mr Amit before making insensitive remarks against gujjars first get in to the details..no body can justify killing of innocent poor gurjar farmers by the polica. As of gujjars this caste has always contributed for the country..Even 80% youth of this community join army. In parliament attack by terrorist 3 out of 5 CRPF personnel killed were gujjars. 39 people of this community were killed & request you not make fun of those. Thanks Uday Pratap Singh

It is a real tragedy that the political parties without exception have hijacked a noble concept which was put forward for reserving some educational & job opportunities for the economically, educationally & socially backward groups of people. It was meant to be a temporary phase of positive discrimination for a certain number of years to act as a palliative for centuries of discrimination. It was assumed in good faith that these measures would lead to economic development which would ultimately wipe out backwardness in education and hence prevent exploitation at the hands of the better off. But sadly, the cynical approach of the politicians has now led to competition among communities to be labelled BACKWARD. This helped these so called LEADERS to carve out captive vote banks! The current agitation is also the same. No community should be allowed to hold entire society to ransom. They must be dealt with an iron hand. Also reservations should be capped at the 50% limit as ordered by the Supreme Court. If at all any tinkering needs to be done, why does the Govt not include a 10% reservation (from within the 50% already set)for children of mixed caste or mixed community parentage. That could be a good step towards a casteless society.
I believe Gujjars are correct in demanding reservation. They must be seeing their rivals getting plum jobs courtesy reservations. So why should they not get the same benefit. Infact why should anyone else for that matter shouldnt get reservation. This is the second protest that they are making. Their earlier protest was diffused and the government thought that the matter is over. It is good that Gujjars have started protesting again as this would send a clear message to the government that issues need to be resolved and not postponed. Gujjars must be feeling that why the benefit of the taxes paid by them should go to other communities and not them. If the govt comes hard on them the it loses the right to govern them. Gujjars should be free to have their own country where at least they are treated fairly.
We should also stop saying that this is the work of a handful of criminals. By saying this the govt is actually refusing to acknowledge the Gujjars demand. Let us not bury our head in the sand like an ostrich and realise that there is actually an issue to be resolved.

i m disappointed by ur thoughts.but one thing if tomorrow another caste stands and starts protesting for the same then what should be done,give them reservation status.is that what u agree for,then ur thoughts sounds too too selfish
