Congrates Kannadigas for Voting single party
by Chola The Greatest in the Universe on May 25, 2008 06:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Kannadigas must feel proud for electing a single largest winning combination. I remember during Hegde period Karnataka used to be a great place to live and visit. Now after various Congress governments and thise Gowda regimes, Karnataka has becoming like Tamil Nadu which has been spoilt by Kazhaga politics for the past 3 decades.

People in TN think that being rude, uncivilized, corrupt and inefficient is a big trait, thanks to MGR, MK, et al...along with supporting Congress party.

Well said Chola. Chola was a great Tamil king. But now Tamil Nadu is filled with porukkis like Karuna NIdhi , Jaya Lalitha Anbumani(Anbillatha Mani). Who are all from neighbouring states who would have been crushed and devoured to pieces from their own states they came from.

Are you threatening or are you saying? It looks more to be as a threat for Kannadigas saying, 'see you have voted BJP and I will make sure you will regret for it'. You know what I mean !!!! I wish thats not the case here!

A hearty congratulations to Kannadigas for choosing a party to rule which is famous for inciting violence against every body except few upper caste Hindus. Welcome to a new age of riots and killings. May God make you happy for inviting Gujrat 2002 to your state.

NDA government possible - Maya, Jaya to hold remote control
by Astute Analyst on May 25, 2008 06:43 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Now after the Karnataka election Victory, the NDA has a clear upper hand over UPA in 2009 elections. The greatest challenge for BJP is to counter the anti-incumbency in MP, Rajasthan & Chhattisgarh. We shall see before the end of 2008 how well BJP tackles the anti-incumbency in these states. But my sense is that it will retain Chhattisgarh, lose Rajasthan and MP can go either way depending on how many SC votes BSP takes away from Congress. Overall if these predictions come true, NDA is likely to cross 200 mark in 2009 Lok Sabha elections. With the support of 40-45 seats from Mayawati and 20 seats from Jayalalitha, NDA will form a government. So the remote control will go into the hands of the two ambitious ladies from the ideologically rigid left parties.

BJP is exported to South India now. It will be completely wiped out in next assembly elections in these 3 states.

Rajasthan & Madyapradesh must be a sacrificing goat for General Election for the sake of India! If BJP loses these two states (Assembly elections) chance of BJP getting stronger responses during General Elections. Otherwise, Voter fatigue may catch up during General Elections and might not favor BJP.

People may not vote against the same party in quick time frame.

I guess the trend in 2008 assembly elections in Karnataka, MP, Rajasthan & Chhattisgarh will be a strong indicator of the direction of popular mood for 2009 Lok Sabha elections. I don;t think people will vote for one party in assembly elections an another in Lok Sabha. Gujrat, Punjab & Uttarakhand will also continue to favor UPA. Only change might be UP. If Congress allies with Mulayam & Ajit Singh, they may be able to snatch some seats from Mayawati.
