Leave alone fighting Jihad, most Hindus particularly the intellectuals do not have a perception of Jihad or Islamic radicalism. The fault partly lies with Hindu religion itself which teachs ALL religions are paths to God..therefore the concept of 'fighting' for God or dying for him is practically unknown. Furthermore Hindus tend to think all religions are inherently good and no religion teaches hatred or violence. Hindus have been unable to stop Ghazni's 17 raids to India- that is unexcusable...by the same token Islam could never get a foothold in Europe except for a part of Spain..Spaniards however threw it out even after 500 years. Today Islamic radicalism sneaked into Europe & N America by taking advantage of a liberalized secular society and democracy. The difference between India and the West lies in the fact that the west particularly America learnt very fast..being descendants of pirates and Crusading fanatics themselves, they are now up to mark and can match Islamic terror with terror. deep research and nit picking has now educated western world quite well on Islamic radicalism. Same cannot be said of Indians at all. If anything India's intellectuals appear stupid and dont get it at all.

weak post with naive comments. Firstly the concept of jihad is itself an issue with the majority of people fail to understand. Jihad in Islam is not about killing innocent people but srtiving with oneslef to become a better person. A concept that is the landmark of self improvement and humanity. Actions of misguided muslims must not be equated with Islamic trachings, doing it is a sign of ignorance and mischief. India is a great country and hindus and muslims have lived here as brothers and this bond will defeat all tryes of extremism and terrorism.

Well True tell that to the terrorists who have blasted the WTC, caused deaths in various counslates, killed people in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Jaipur. Who is responsible, what did India do to any of these people, it was trying to prosper making people prosperous, do you even know that in the entire world, india is the only country that has highest per capita income for muslims, not even there in pakistan.

What type of reputation U are talking of.What about genocide done during Babri demolition,Bhagalpur riots,Merrut riots,Gujrat genocide,Bhiwandi riots,Mumbai genocide and so many pograms done by Hindus in collaboration with state administration,police,judiciary.

Jews have a friend in America. When Indians become rich and powerful in Europe and America, we can expect the same attitude from the west, but until then we have to fight our own battles.

What has VHP done to mobilize Hindu interest in the government? why do they have to continually align themselves with the BJP? why can't they lead their own movement and be a force to reckon with, no matter which party is in power.
Sooner or later, they will have to be recognized as the leading force and Hindu interests will be paid attention to, no matter who is in office.
We are doomed for sure,everytime islamic terror kills hindus the same tamasha of condemning attacks repeats and within a fortnight we are back to appeasement.While a lone capable leader Mr modi keeps his state free from terror is attacked by secularists on a day to day basis for years.

yes, I agree. every time a bomb blast happens, condemning happens, IB and police teams are formed to analyze the remnants and identify the culprits ... but, not necessary that those responsible would be caught or even punished.
How can secularism in this country can be safe?.When the people are killed at religious place offering prayers.Where is humanity in these cases?Where does this it leads to?
We all get worked up after some terrorist activity and we go on interpreting every religion. Agreed that Bharata raashtra (aka India, aka Hindustan) was occupied by muslim rulers for 1000 years and then by British for another couple of centuries. I am sure neither were invited by the then bharata raashtra rulers just for a "change". Mughal/Muslim rulers after taken over by British rulers would have gone back to their native countries, if it was so bad here. British did leave after independence. Mughal/Muslim rulers had another opportunity after independence to leave the bharata raashtra since they did not like it then and don't like it now. The process is made even easier after independence, they had and still have a choice of moving to either Bangladesh or Pakistan, just in case they don't like original dwellers of the Bharat raashtra. Then Bharat desis don't have to insult Islam and of course peace loving Islam followers don't have to live or deal with native Bharat raashtra dwellers. The question then is, when the original country was divided on religion basis, and since current Bharat raashtra Islam followers find it difficult to digest Sanatana Dharma, and also Islam (I know they are peace loving) followers can not coexist with people following Sanatana Dharma, what is stopping them from moving on? instead of criticizing the very nation that gave them second homes?

Nice words...India never was made a country by willingless but by force and false dream...People fighting for Maharastra,Kannadiga,North-South,East-West.Are we united?No.Blaming muslims when we all know all muslims are not the same...The main cause is the Hindu-Muslim blame game played by our leaders...If there was Jinna then there was APJ Abdul Kalam also...people should do some introspection before commenting...Whats the real issue...These jihadis are out country people mostly and few Indians...Have we ever tried to think why our Muslim brothers(not all) are taking that path?No...so its time we think!!!

The mentality of "it's me, it's not you" is fundamentally invalid assumption. The introspection and any type of "spection" becomes necessary when everyone is on level playing field. The fundamental philosophy in a democracy is everyone is equal. Then why we discuss and talk about reservations (minority or otherwise). Democracy is built by society, not the otherway. Why we want everything for free in a democracy? That means we want fruit of democracy where we can say and do anything we want but, without any responsibility. There is no hinduism as such, just like aryan and dravidian culture and aryan invasion. Sanatana Dharma is how society should behave, together, not individually. That's what civilization is about. If you leave aside concept of god, there is no religion. That's the reason why Sanatana dharma does not talk about god. get it? Also, different languages does not constitute the concept that Bharat raashtra was divided before and mighty British united it. what a slavery oriented idea! We, as native citizens are unable to fathom the civilization that evolved before Moghul/Muslim invaders and British rules Bharat raashtra. In essence, just to be hip, we are denying philosophy indigenous to our country. This is just what any outsider needs. Self denial to be hip is not introspection, it's one step away from becoming a slave nation. by the way, leaders are not from Mars, they are humans from same society, just like you and me.
