Third Alternative - A wasteful exercise
by jamsheed basha abumohammed on Mar 28, 2008 07:20 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

When major regional parties have alligned with either BJP or Congress, the left over Leftist with splinter parties could not form a credible third alternative. This could be a reality if they could rope in major regional parties like DMK or AIADMK or TDP, SP, BSP and likes. These parties alone could be credible alternative to Congress and BJP. Until this happens the thinking of forming a third alternative will be futile exercise. For the present Congress is firmly in saddle with all major allies intact. Same is the case with BJP. If Congress and Allies have earned a good rapport with general public through liberalised economic policies and improvement in the general working conditions, then the only problem is rising prices that may take a toll of it.But then the trend could not be curbed simply by chaning the parties at the Centre. The best method to counter inflationary trends is to drastically cut excise and other duties on goods of importance. The steel and cement becoming costly should be made cheaper. All other essential commodities are becoming costlier owing to rise in prices of petroleum products. The Govt has to think of reducing excise duties on petroleum products so that the transport becomes cheaper. Any increase in the oil price would have direct effect on the prices of commodities. This is what exactly is required for the govt to do so that the general public does not suffer much owing to spiralling prices. The third alternative would help BJP and not them,is clear.

Buddhababu!!!
by sudipta sarkar on Mar 28, 2008 07:11 AM  Permalink

Buddhadev is a spineless and timid leader who is controlled by other members of the party. The greatest evil in West Bengal is still Jyoti Basu who manipulates everything. So what Buddha says has no gravity. 'CPIM' has become a word synonymous to 'stagnation', 'hipocrit capitalists in disguise' , 'state-sponsored terrorism' etc etc and what not....I wonder what would have happened to CPIM if the people of West Bengal were not visionless, lazy, chaos loving and mindless ; they would have been long thrown out. Buddhababu is personally a relatively nice person but he is a mere puppet to others and the third alternative is never to materialise as the evil deeds of the CPIM shall not be endorsed and tolerated anywhere in India except West Bengal. May Satans bless the commies!!!!

Third alternative needs to be banned
by Kannan on Mar 28, 2008 06:42 AM  Permalink

So said Kalam and rightly so. The third alternative whenever it has existed has just indulged in horse trading (janata dal) or pulling the country back to poverty (the left). No sir, two alternatives are enough and voters need to send this message strongly to these other pathetic parties that are wrecking the country

Left Front No Alternative
by Venkatesa Prabhu on Mar 28, 2008 06:15 AM  Permalink

After seeing what the commies have done to West Bengal and Kerala over 30 years, it would be foolish for people to see any hope or future in commies. Communism and personal power is all that matters to these worthies and people can go to hell. History abounds with their actions in Russia, East European states among others.

E)I don't say Congress or BJP are great. How can anyone say party of/for SCAMS or Party of/for religion/BRAHMINS/UPPERCASTES great. But COMMIES are more poisonous - they attract weaker sections of society through their ILL INTELLECTUAL speeches, Later leads the DESTRUCTION. Its lifelong POISON/ILLUSION. Please talk to the any Communist party loyalist - they will say about reduction of poverty, common man etc. Its not possible to change people as a whole through Political parties, Especially in India (Due to much much Diversity and lack of unity). Poverty eradication, Social Justice etc are only possible through empowering and enlightenment of people, for which no Political Party in India can ACCEPT.Since all are playing same game - POWER/ SEAT/ MONEY.
F) They are in INDIA and supports China/Russia just like anti national Islam people (I am mot referring all Islam people) supports Pakistan Team than Indian one. But still able to be in Power for more than 30 years. Better to offer WB to China as a free gift and get rid of these Commies. Atleast the Indian Commies wont learn from their counterparts of China, Who has favored for foreign investment and development.
G)old saying "EVERYONE IS COMMUNIST, TILL HE GOT RICH". Ex: Sons and daughters of our great COMMIES. Most of them are ether settled in abroad or Industrialists and having lavish lifestyle.

Be cautious and alert, all other state people. The Commies/INTELLECTUAL IDI*ts/BAST*ards of BHARAT are spreading their wings to s

Why left is shouting so much ? They are here just because of some foolishness of Congress otherwise they would have been sitting in their cage in bengal or kerala .. they are not fit for any other part of india so better wait for next elections and they will be back to their home.

We need a new leadership alltogether
by mukesh Vijayvergia on Mar 27, 2008 11:38 PM  Permalink

The current political systems do not have the right atitude, urge or courage to take India to the next level. They are all parasites make the country hollow from within. They have gone agenda less and do not have anything to appeal to its public. People are shying to particiapte in elections beacuse they hate all the parties and politicians. We need a different set up all together which can sense the nerve of the nation and attend the bigger issues on priority and give the nation its real identity. We need strong and dedicated team of people who can make indian realise their roels and responsibilities towards the nation and also allow them to participate positively in nation building exercise. The current politicans should be sent to their homes in a way that they never can think of coming out of their homes.
