IT's LIKE TRYING TO SPIT ON THE SUN! You know the consequence!
by Kabeer on Mar 25, 2008 11:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Advani is a pessimist!

The Advantage of Being A Pessimist is, Either You are Proved Right Or Being Pleasantly Surprised!

Instead of criticising Nehru, Advani should question his Mentors, Leaders, Gurus with these following questions:

1. Why did Shyama Prasad Mukherjee wanted Kashmir not an integral part of India but a separate Hindu kingdom aka Nepal?

2. Why did Atal Behari Vajpayee, when he was the External Affairs Minister in 77-79 ordered the Balochi separatist movement dismantled carefully built by Indira Gandhi on the lines of Bangladeshi Movement. Vajpayee dismantled it so much that even after Indira Gandhi came to power in 79 the damage was irreparable and she had to shelve that mission forever!

3. Why did Morarji Desai blurted out to Zia-ul-Haq about information given by a Indian RAW spy in Pakistan which resulted in being the spy was being combed down and liquidated when Zia returned to Pak.

4. What kind of a blunder Advani's Govt committed in not shooting the Hijacked IC-814 tyres when it halted for more than half an hour in Amritsar which resulted in a direct death of a passenger?

Atleast the above 4 are sufficient to show the shallowness of Advani!

Criticising Nehru is like trying to spit on Sun!
Nothing happens to the Sun but the spit will eventually fall on your face

Dear Tathagata,

SP had to be detained and put behind the bars not in Delhi/Calcutta/Bombay but in Kashmir when he started agitating that Kashmir be not integrated into India but be declared a separate Hindu Kingdom!

SP didnt just make a remark!
He actually agitated!

SP had to be imprisoned for these activities!

Madrassas dont teach which traitor did what!

Go and check your own Indian Governments archives or ask your mother or father if they are still around (possibly they would have lived in those tumulutous years)

When SP was about to die, he had to be released from Kashmir prison and later he died of natural causes!

It is a well known fact known to everyone that SP had spent his last years in Kashmir!

Bye Bye!

Well Kabeer:

Good points from you. A 2-year-in-office Foreign Minister can unleash so much damage that generations of Congress governments thereafter cannot repair it.
Great point.
Now I know why NDA could not achieve much in its mere 5 year term.
How in the God's good world can they undo the damage unleashed by 55 years of Congress rule?
It will take at least 100 years of uninterrupted BJP-led government to see any real progress!
As to Morarji Desai - he was a Congressi. BJP wasn't even born then.
You have shown great shallowness through your 4 points.
Any answer to 1947 partition and untold damages on the innocent public???

Nehru has done lots and lots of good for this country. It was he who initiated massive electrification of India and lots of manufacturing units were setup including Steel plants, Neyveli Lignite factory, atomic power, cement manufacturing units.India became sulf-sufficient in rice production only because of him.He believed in peace,non-violence, mutual friendship and none would have expected in 1950s and 60s that China would betray us.He is a true patriot and is one of the greatest Indians.

Nehru was not the reason behind india becoming self sufficient in rice production. Nehru died in 1964, where as Green revolution began in 1967-68 and produced results in 1978. We can say it was more of Indira Gandhi's contribution, but certainly not Nehru's.

Nehru, Indira were not Weak, they were bold, but yes they did made some mistakes, who does'nt. Both of them inspired us to think in english to conqure the matarial world. They made us modern, at the same time be rooted in our culture. Nehru said ; the industry, office are our temple go and worship there. Thats why we have today 200 million strong, english speaking middle class who is driving india's growth faster. Otherwise india would have been just like bangladesh, pak. In 2 decades india & China will be super power, america will go down. So we have to be very carefull in dealing with china now. We have to assert at tibet issue, same time respect thier mighty growing streingth.
Best way to defeat china is, to build infrastructure in himalayan kingdome like Nepal, Burma, bihar, UP. Send our business people there to run business. We have to do it on war footing. Before china can set thier eyes, they know this trick. Thats how they are capturing all himalayan kingdome one by one.

History can only be useful, if it is examined critically and lessons are drawn from it.

As a nation, we need to come out and examine this Nehruvad. I am not against a person, but stressing a need for critical examination.

Indian past history is filled with courage, knowledge and all other virtues.

Take any field, mathematics, science, the famous invention of 0 and 1 to 10, Literature, History, culture, artwork. Indian were far ahead.

Dear Sesh, we are now talking with the benfit of hindslight. Though I am not a fan of Mr.Nehru, a fair assessment is that he had acted in good faith for the benefit of the citizens of our country. We all should remember that our country was under alien occupation and our industrialists were in no position to invest billions of rupees at that time. It was only the Central Govt which could have invested in large steel plants, dams, etc.

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia who always contested against Nehru had said that "I am not contesting elections to win but to see how many votes are cast against Nehru" and one occassion he had even said that "Nehru is nothing but a zero". There was no political party worth its name in India for a long time after independence and the Marxists (led by the late AKG) with just 25 MPs were the largest oppostion. So the Congress party was able to steam-roll their agenda. The Licence-permit raj was the biggest cause for the drag in developement of our country.
