Border issue
by on Mar 24, 2008 07:10 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We should take advantage of this issue and negotiate a settlement on the border issue and issues related to himachal pradesh in return for our stand that "Tibet is an internal issue of China".. It would be stupid on the part of our leaders not to do so..

You think spineless leader Manmohan singh would do that ? Even an earthworm would have proved better leader than puppet Manmohan Singh.
Manmohan showed total cowardice and lack diplomatic skills while dealing with the Tibet issues and has caused immeasurable damage to Indian civilization by not wresting intiative.
Shame on Manmohan Singh !

It would be immoral to do so. I dont't think we would have appreciated if China had tried to press its position on boundary issue when India was involved in the Kargil conflict.

Chinese are imperialists
by Raghavendra R Ravi on Mar 24, 2008 07:06 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Chinese want to rule the world. They should never be trusted. But we have a lot of leftists who will want India to surrender to them. If you allow them to get away on Tibet today, tomorrow they are going to occupy Bhutan and Nepal for sure and our leftists will hold umbrella for them. Chinese are powerful and can implement what they want. India is weak and does not want anything and will keep debating everything/ never implement any. Even if you look at it as a diplomatic effort, why should we please the Chinese? What did they do in Arunachal Pradesh? They want to takeover everything. When they start succeeding US will also support them and desert us. We have to take care of ourselves and we have no plans. The leftists like Brinda Karat who ride the high horse and start cackling on everything have nothing to say now .. nor did they say anything when China was supplying arms to Pakistan. With an internal enemy like the left we need not look for trouble anywhere else.

True. The CPI-M and its leftist allies are the enemies of the Indian state and the people and should be weeded out from the polity.

China occupies parts of HP and Kashmir and still we do not allow Tibetans to even fight for their own independence. We are so scared of China that even the Indian VP cannot meet the Dalia Lama within India!!

China always supported Pakistan, but we have no guts to give the Chinese a taste of their own medicine in Tibet.

Why are we so pathetic? Why are we so godamn losers?

Why can't we punch back when we are pushed around?

Internal Issues
by Sunith Velho on Mar 24, 2008 06:14 AM  Permalink

We all know how the Chinese supported India in Kashmir. They said it was an 'internal issue' and then armed Pakistan with nuclear weaponry. Indians are and will always be cowards... Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai!!

I was not talking about history - I was talking about politics. If India supports Tibet cause, China will start supporting Pakistan on Kashmir cause. If China is forced to declare Tibet as an independent country, India will be forced to give Kashmir independence (read: give it to Pakistan). Then china will come back to claim more from the Northeast...

Please dont tow the line of leftists - in Kashmir we have a elected government - and we have Article 370 - in Tibet they dont have anything - so no need to compare...

I was talking about world politics... not Indian politics... article 370 is part of Indian constitution...
I, as an individual, support the Tibet cause, but the truth is that at this moment India is negotiating with China on a whole bunch of things including a permanent seat in the UNSC and reduced support towards Pakistan... Tibet is definitely a humanitarian issue, but has little political significance for India.

You are right my friend!
This is all because of the great mahatma's i.e. fools that India was blessed with.
The legacy of Gandhi/Nehru & Congress is a weak nation that is unable to defend it's borders or protect it's people, a nation whose foreign policy is like a boat without a sail, a nation that will be attacked again and again, a nation that has produced one spineless leader after another.

This is reflected in the way our country plays competitive sports.

super chance...
by Veluswamy kumaran on Mar 24, 2008 06:02 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is a super chance, to bring the china in their toes. We can ask china, to write off the arunachal issue, support our bid on permanent seat for UNSC, clear stand on nuclear deal and kashmir issue, a deal for merchandise trade and what not... but as usual, our leaders are lazy and spine less... And they just clarify their stand.... Who cares, which stand they are standing?

Trusting China ???
by Sai on Mar 24, 2008 04:53 AM  Permalink

Don't expect China to return favors .. when there is a problem NE or in Kashmir it would try to Assist the other party and grab piece of land ..

This is not internal affair of China .. it is a matter of concern for anyone who is human.
Unfortunately Congress is in power when most of these defining events happen .. and they screw up like nobody's business
