The shortsighted Indian Govt. seems to forget all the Chinese govts recent misdemeanours in dealing with it. That China provocatively issued free travel advisory to Arunachal citizens saying that Arunachal is their part. China intruded 20 kms into Indian territory and Indian govt was busy allowing joint excercises with Chinese military. China builds highways and railways from COK to POK to Pakistan capital. It also funds powerstations in POK. It raises ante when it learns Indian govt is developing infrastructure in Arunachal. It supports terrorists on Indian soil thru proxies. It actively seeks to dismember India and fomenting trouble thru proxies and tries to surround and encircle India with bases in proxy states. Panchasheel etc has long been shoved into dustbin by these hypocrites. There is no trust left with these people.
Its my strong advice to rediff and other indian media to stop editing the information in order to make is more sellable,, I have noticed it several times and now am quoting it in front of everyone to think about it.
When the Tibat woman saying sth in Mandarin, the subtitles came out was: All the Tibetan people have gathered together yesterday on the street and the militery men come and fired some tear gas, some poisonous one, to us in the afternoon at 3 or 4PM and arrested about 10 or 20 people.
however, in case that I know Mandarin well, I translated what did she said for you:
I feel very difficult. Those minority splittists are doing distorting activities! we are all witnesses. They don't accept to live well-being lives. The children can't go to school, workers can't go for work normally, our good lives are distorted...
now u can see how different are the two translations. However i ask you all to use your sources to confirm it and then reach to the conclusion. If we keep on distorting things like this we will always spoil our relations with others.
and you can see from the subtitles, that snippet originated from CCTV!!! (Chinese National TV)

kapil barman, You are right. Many Indians first have some preconception in their mind and use this to understand everything happening in China. That is why from outsiders' angle, Indians are so narrow-minded and ignorant. Without any dbout, Indians can view everything for sake of their interests. but this is not talking sense. From angle of Chinese, they view things for sake of their interests. So, Indians and Chinese speak two languages for the same truth. However, if medie distorted the iron truth. This can only make Indian become joke and ignorant.
In Tibet, mobs(so called protestors) set fires to shops and caused civilians death. In many countries, protestors smashed properties of Chinese embassy. all these are the truth.Indians have right to justfy what Tibetans have done if you like and Chinese have right to justify what they have done if they like, but do not deny these truths. Otherwise, Indians are clowns.
Germany TV station used time-unknown footage which shows Nepalese police arrested protestors with subtitles saying Chinese police arrested Tibetans. It becomes a international joke. CNN did the similar things. Yesterday,Germany TV station already apologized for this. Frankly, Tibetans are losers this time no matter how correct their cause is. The world are silent for watching they set fires and smashed properties. It seems Indians like to be Indiots, right?
Yeaterday, i saw a news channel in vch thy showed me a chat between two tibetans over the mobile, one of them was in india and the othr accross the border over in Tibet... The person talking in india was around 25-30 years... and he was literally crying... and was unable to speak anything on listening the gory details about the atrocities chinese were doing on innocent peace loving tibetans accross the border... It literally made my heart felt the agony these people were going throw having their nation as slave and their culture being distroyed... I really felt tht somthing shold be done fr thm nd china shold be made agrred for independece tibet... as china has no point in claiming tibet as his own country... Being Indian and feeling the misery of tibetans... i fully support tibetans fr their freedom struggle....

please watch a program on BBC. It shows mobs(so-called protestors) set fire on shop and burn five civilian girls to death. Who did this atrocity? The mobs you call them as peace-loving people did this. The world can not say anything before this video. What is your beautiful explanation for this atrocity?
The Congress as well as BJP are Bibhishanas who are ready to sell the nation to the most virtuous (read the one who gives you the best kickbacks).
That is why they buy billions of dollars worth weapons from US defence organizations when 1.5 lakh farmers go for suicide in a decade; forget the education and health care standards of the poor.
Nobody can deny the problems of global warming, but the solution shouldn't be submission to the colonial masters and butchering our independent foreign policy. There is a difference between signing an international treaty like NPT and signing Hyde Act which pegs us to the legislation made in USA. It reminds of the days of 19th century when even matchsticks and salt were imported from the West. Today our farmers are forced to buy seeds of GM crops at an exorbitant high cost. But the media hardly covers these issues; they are more busy covering film actresses modeling for exotic jewelry.
It is USA which divided Kosovo out of Serbia, now fiddling with China's Tibet and won't lose an opportunity to fiddle in Kashmir and Assam again. The USA talks sweet about freedom and democracy, but their interests in Kosovo or Kurdistan or Kashmir are selfish. Freedom movement from their perspective means guns for the terrorists as well as the governments, it means good business for Western arms dealers. They are the Al Qaeida.

Narayan you say that we require proletariat rule/dictatorship in India? Now who will decide who belongs to proletariat and who are bourgeoisie?
If you speak of dictatorship to get rid of corruption by politicians may be a large section will share this view with you. But why communism? Is that the option? I don't think so..
But yes buying of weapon systems from US is not a bad deal, If you buy F-18 hornets they are damn good ones, (INS Jalaswa is definitely raises questions but thats only a small fragment of the deals.) I assume that your point is removal of corruption. Thats where we stand.
Another point I need to clarify you. The 123 treaty as it comes is not binding to the Hyde Act. Any international treaty by the 6th ammendment of the US constitution is a law by itself and it overrides any previous law. In that the 123 agreement being an international treaty is independent and Hyde act is not binding on it.
As for seeds for farmers if you are not aware in parts of the country the IITs are working with farmers for good quality seeds and improved productivity (specially in Gujrat)..
Lastly who are communists? Are they those who speak against Tasleema Nasreen and drive her out of West Bengal as she said something about prophet Mohammed in her story and speak for M F Hussain for freedom of artists even when he paints Hindu godesses as nude?? If communists mean that you have to appease minorities (for votebank) then sorry Narayan I cant be in the same dias with you..

Chinese leadership is supreme right from mao zedong ,Deng Xiaoping,Jiang Zemin,Wem Jiabao, and the best of all Hu Jintao. China has been made a superpower by these visionary leaders.SEE the development in Shanghai,Beijing,Hangzhou,Guangzhou,Tianjin,Suzhou,Chengdu,Chongqing and then tell me. Chinese people are very disciplined and happy.

For Vote Bank Politics - After removing the respected and talented Dr APJ Abdul Kalam form the post of President, UPA Gov appointed Mr Ansari just to do damage control exercise.
At last Indian government has buckeled under the pressure of communists.Tibet,Taslima cases are showing that the govenment has deviated from the path of Indian thought.
Kudos goes to Chinese ledership for taking correct measures.I respect PRC government and effective policies of them in handling Tibet issue. India has maintained right position to stand by with China in their hour of need and distancing itself from Tibet.China is getting very matured superpower.Yes it is a superpower and its a nation of good people.I like the policies, commitment, leadership, good strong bold decisions of government of China.India should maintain good and friendly relations with China and this is the time to show that we are with you. Those Mischief mongers Tibetans created riots and damaged properties and Chinese are controlling it.Olympics should not be disrupted by handful of backward people. Thanks
