Do you know anything about 'Reiki' system of practising medicine. Compare 'Reiki' system with Idol worshipping (Hinduism) and you will get the answer whether only fools worship idols.
I am talking only about science & not about the religion. Religion is a set of beliefs and practices often organized around supernatural and moral claims, and often codified as prayer, ritual, and religious law. It doesn't matter which religion we follow, main aim of the religion is to ensure the individual who follow it will be honest through out his life & helping him to get rid of issues/problems. Idol worshiping helps a lot in curing various diseases, for that you need to know about 'Reiki' system.
Never abuse others culture :-), which may have some hidden reasons.
Can you imagine millions and millions converting to Musalmaani religion? That too by organized movements by Musalmaans?
Can you imagine millions and millions of Musalmaans in S. Arabia converting to western religions? That too due to organized movements and inflow of billions of dollars from western countries.
No! No! No! It speaks badly of our people. How can people start following culture and beliefs of foreigners? Is it lack of pride? Is it poverty? Is it casteism? Are we Hindus are too tolerant?
I think all of it. No matter what, I think we need to act now. One way or other, we need stop the cancer of foreign influences killing the soul of our country. Use all the tools possible, bad or good. Do it now or we'll loose our country to foreigners.

Hindus are tolerant? Is that why lower castes people are not allowed to marry upper caste people? Is that why upper castes often kill or torture lower castes? Is thay why women are not allowed in certain temples? Is that why non-Hindus are disallowed to enter temples? Tolerant indeed!!!!

We have problems. I totally agree casteism is biggest. We need to change the social mindset so that we can eradicate this cancer. It's a struggle we all to contribute so that we can keep this country together. There's no other alternative.
Women entry in certain temples is a minor issue. And I don't care about entry of non-Hindus in Mandirs.
This should not be excuse to let invasion of our culture and traditions. If we have survive, we have to stop conversions.

For your info, a bishop had indeed offered such a thing to me. Second, granted - other faiths may be bad, if you say so - but what makes your faith bad? By the way, what kind of English is 'secularity'?
This law is the height of selfishness, cowardice and pure injustice. I'll explan how. Clauses in this law vehimently oppose conversion of SC/ST people. Why? Casteism is one of the core principles of Hinduism and many people are trapped all their life in this humiliating social structure right from birth. Casteism has deprived and enslaved people and this law basically prevents them from freedom or a better life. Isnt this selfishness? Conversions may open the door to a better life and education. Why do you want that door closed? Is it out of genuine love and concern for them? Why arent there people like Graham Steins in hinduism? Or why is there casteism at all? If you dont want the people to leave, why dont you atleast clean the pig sty? The ans is you need people to be there trapped for ever in the lower strata of society to serve you-selfishness.
Secondly, why are you upset/scared if people leave your faith? Does the strength of the "truth" you believe in depend on the number of people who believe in it? why cant you accept a person if he left your religion? Ok you neednt marry/give in marriage but cant you accept his/her existance in another faith? why?
In the name of this law many poor people are going to be framed and punished.. I dont know for what? too bad... :(
BTW, here is some food for thought. Evolution causes people to loose faith in God. Isnt that a "forced conversion" we go through in schools? Why isnt there a law banning that?

I think you are missing the point and unnecessarily dradding nowhere. The rule is agains forced(lure/ raw force/ money) conversion. Its its by will then no body can stop anyone, no law, no religion and no country. In fact if you look a little more into depth its all about some gorup of ppl who want to increase their strength by money and other by force..Hope you are reading the lines correctly now..

I agree fully with you on one point. Conversion should not be by force. And in India its extremely difficult to force someone into believing something. I think that it would happen only in Islamic states.. and thankfully India isnt one.. Regarding conversion by money... DO you think those who switch faiths seeing money are sincere to either their former or latter beliefs? Arent they making their belly their God? Ok whatever... should there be a law preventing that?

So why jail the man who gave him money? Especially if the person concerned is satisfied?

I think you need to study the complete law. The law is against the person who tries to do force conversion. Pls. read the bill properly before writing such comments.
The law is not only for SC/ST, it is for everyone.

its not about ppl leaving their faith but abt ppl coerced to leave their faith. ppl r free to follow their belief but definitely shud nt b allowed to b converted at the gun point.

Every state in India should emulate this precedent, and we should now realise that with the commies having lorded over Bengal for than quarter of a century, it is Rajasthan and not Bengal which shows the way. I appeal to the brave people of Rajasthan to keep up their good work. It should later be made mandatory for people to follow the original religion of the land they belong to, be it Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism or Christianity.

Funny to see a Mathematician(incase you are genuine) say all these words. Mathematics itself originated from GOD but you cannot accept it!??
The ENERGY that is in everybit around us is also called as GOD. That is why, an Elephant, a PIG, a Human being, a ROCK, a TREE..you name it, everything is an impression of GOD, very similarly you Mathematicis.
Hinduisim is NOT a Religion, its the way of life every human being should lead having gratitute towards EVERTHING around him/Nature.
Remember, you have no "choice" to be born as a human being in the home or to the parents you are right now. Its GOD who decided it! So be Thankful to Him for not making you a PIG.
Why should we Hindus worry if Muslims/Christians 'blame' us for idol worship ? Why should we care ? Most human lives have been lost in the last 2000 years due to conflicts by Christians/Muslims.
The idol helps us create an image of God. It is easy to focus on something if you have an image in front of your eyes. This is scientifically proven.
Secondly, we Hindus believe that God is omni-present. God takes up more space than this Universe can provide. So essentially everywhere. In a stone, a mountain, a tree, animal, human. The physical artifact provides the medium to reach God. If someone doesnt need the medium, that is fine too.
We dont need anyone to authorize us on the correct method of worship. We have been doing this for 5000 years when most religions were not even established.

About worshipping Kaaba and Stone in it's wall, But do you know what is meaning of IDOL WORSHIPING? It means you consider that god exist in or have a shape of that Idol. For stone in Mecca, muslims respect it as a holy stone or auspecious stone...they kiss it as a part of ritual....BUT THEY DO NOT WORSHIP IT. They do not ask that stone to solve their Problems. They do not believe that stone has power to give them life or death. Half knowledge is dangerous my genius freind.
