Nothing wrong in migration...
by on Mar 21, 2008 01:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is nothing wrong in moving to another place and making a life for oneself by working hard. That is what UP/Bihar people are doing. And I find it ironic that farrmers in the same state are committing suicide in droves. Particularly, when Sharad Pawar is the minister of agriculture of India... Human race's entire history is based on migration. For example, Indo Aryans migrated from Central Asia/Europe to India.

Ghattees are a lazy race!
by Rohit Kanwar on Mar 21, 2008 01:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Anyone who lives in Mumbai how in disparaging terms people refer to ghattees. They are considered to be absolutely lazy and worthless. Indeed ghattees feel jealous when outsiders come and improve their lives by working hard, while the ghattees are not upwardly mobile. For example, who asked these Nashik factory owners to hire UP/Bihar people? Why couldn't they hire the local ghattees in the first place? The answer lies in the fact that most of the ghattees are hooked to cheap liquor and are bevdaas.

Working hard.UP/Biharis hardly work.If they are so hard-working,why do they have to leave their sick mother(UP/Bihar) and migrate.Bcoz they are incapable of nursing her back to good health.Hard work never goes waste. The hard work that you want credit for can only be called exploitation where industrialists in Maharashtra take advantage of.Pay them a pittance and get them to work for 14-16 hours daily. This only widens the gap between the haves and have nots. And employin cheap labour makes business sense. And the fact that they are being conveniently expolited does not register in the minds of the nincompoop UP/Biharwallas,who feel their 'Hard Work' is appreciated.

Beggars in Mumbai...
by Rohit Kanwar on Mar 21, 2008 01:10 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Most of the beggars in Mumbai are ghattees from interior Maharashtra (such as suicide prone region of Vidarbha).
UP/Bihar people come to Mumbai and work hard and make a life for themselves and also for the ghattee pandu havaldars. All these UP/Bihar people who run these street shops have to pay haftas to these Pandu havaldars leading to improvement in their lives also!

UP/Biharis are now in the same class as is the Hindi saying-Na Ghar Na Ghat Ka Dushman Anaaj Ka.They are being rejected in Assam,Maharashtra,Maniour and in southern India. Those who cannot lead their own states to progress despite immense natural wealth in the form of fertile soil,no.of rivers and mineral wealth are talking of ruling the country.India is still a developing country because power-hungry UP/Biharis have tried to keep Central rule in their control by making Hindi the national language.India's abysmal condition of today is thanks to these UP/Biharis PMs.These people go to other states in search of food and employment and can more appropriately be called beggars

Rest of the nation will be ruled by UP/Bihar
by Rohit Kanwar on Mar 21, 2008 01:07 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is the destiny of UP/Bihar people to rule India. No one can change that. Just look at the list of primeministers of India and you have the answer. It is better that ghattees and others simply accept this fact.
We had one PM from Andhra and then all hell broke lose.
In cricket too, Bihari captain Dhoni is telling Tendulkar to perform or else....

Tendulkar recommended Dhoni as India's future captain and showed the level of foresight that u UP/Bihari guys cannot even dream of.Tendulkar has won India number of matches including Independence Cup in Srilanka(98),CB Series in Australia(2008),ODI series in West Indies(2002),Test series in England(2007), ODI series in Pakistan(2006),Asia Cup in 1991.Just look at his tenacity and long-lasting career of 18 years.Dhoni asking Tendulkar to perform is like an ant calling the mighty elephant to show his prowess.

He is basically a Bihari by origin, born and brought up in Ranchi. Anyway Jharkhand was a part of Bihar and a mere state border can't divide the people as long as they are Indian. This will be very difficult for you to understand because you were not born in UP or Bihar.

BEGGARS HAVE NO CHOICE
by arun naik on Mar 21, 2008 11:59 AM  Permalink

WHEN BEGGARS COME TO OUR DOOR, WE MARATHIS GIVE THEM FOOD, MONEY. BUT IF BEGGARS COME IN LARGE NUMBERS, NATURALLY IT IS JUST NOT POSSIBLE FOR US TO FEED THEM ALL. IT IS OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO SAY NO , AND GO TO ANOTHER DOOR (STATE) HOW BEGGARS CAN BE ADAMENT TO HAVE FOOD FROM MY HOME ONLY ? BEGGARS HAVE NO SUCH CHOICE. IT IS OUR GREATNESS THAT WE GAVE YOU FOOD. WHEN WE SAY YOU ALL GO AWAY, YOU HAVE TO GO AWAY FROM OUR HOUSE.

It was the civilizing influence of Hinduism born in UP which brought rest of the Indians to fold of humanity.
Today all channels are showing the holi in Brij (Mathura, Vrindavan and surrounding areas). It is because of all these great festivals like Holi and Diwali that ghattees and Punjoos are civilized today. Otherwise they would have been adivasis as ever.

by Inquilaab on Mar 21, 2008 10:30 AM  Permalink

Yes i agree people belongs to all over India( not only north India) came to Mumbai are wrong. Their only mistake is ' they are making a livelihood by doing work' .
So where are you my beloved Hindu organisation when people here are make feel North Indans as second citizen of India. You people belongs to RSS , BJP , shiv sena, MNS are playing politics in the name of Hindu dharma but where are you when North indians are targeted. Sorry you all are have no time to ordinary citizen and busy with politics.
Your true face devide people in the name of religion ( abuse other religion )and then play politics then devide people in the name of region( abuse people hailing from other region) then play politics . so interesting
Their only mistake is they follow the Gita principle that ' Work is God'
Hindu fundamentalist MUMBAI laboratory
Divide Indians - Hindu - Muslim - target muslim
then seek vote
then
divide Indian - Marathi , north Indian, south Indian

Marathi, an underdeveloped language!
by no south on Mar 21, 2008 09:53 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Marathi language is basically Koli people's language. Naturally, its sounds
are primitive and it has very limited vocabulary. Its literature is such that no
one in India, outside the Maharashtra, knows anything about it. In other words,
it is a language which has no future. That is why no one wants to learn it,
and that makes ghattee people extremely upset. I feel that it will take
another two hundred years for the ghattee language to develop into an advanced
language like, Hindi, Bengaali, or even Gujrati! For example, many dialects of
Hindi such as Brij Bhasha (Surdas, Rahim, Keshav, Uddhav), Awadhi (Tulsi Das,
Kabir, Jaysi), Bhojpuri (Bihari and many others) have much more superior
literature as compared to this Koli language! I do concede, however, that ghattee language
has good fishermen's folk songs!

you no south ? - it seems you must be orphan, taken shelter in our rich maharashtra for bread and butter. being orphan you dont have name as your, father, surname. since your origin from gutter you will naturaly speak out gutter language, what you have did, is not fault of you but fault of your blood culture.
which ghatee language you are talking about only you and like you people know. we, marathis have nothing to do with such dirty culture. people like you must be envy or jelous for our rich marathi language, rich culture, advanced state in industries, education. and thats why all big industrialists, indian and foreign prefer maharashtra. sorry, people like you will not understand such high calibre status. you better go on begging from one state to another state and speak against those people who give you food and shelter. what beggers can do ?

Our language may or may not be underdeveloped.Your states of UP/Bihar and your sick mentality are on display here. The pains for propagating womens' education were taken by Mahatma Phule and Maharshi Karve and that has seen the modern educated Indian women express herself confidently and helped India's progress. In UP, the father-in-law rapes his own d-in-law,an apt reminder of the quality of your culture that prefers to keep women under wraps and claim themselves and their culture/language to be better/supeior to that of others

Idiot nehru and language politics - Truth
by Singha on Mar 21, 2008 07:45 AM  Permalink

In erstwhile Bombay Presidency, Marathis were the majority people.

There was no fight as such between Marathis, Gujarathis and Kannadigas.

Maharashtra state was created to clip the wings of Morarji Desai and Chavan, who nehru saw as threats.

Nehru did similar politics with Tamils and Telugus to clip the wings of C Rajagopalachari, India's first Governor General and Subsequent Prime Minister (those days, CMs were called PMs) of Madras Presidency. Prakasam played along.

Linguistic State Reorganisation was a fraud perpetrated by Nehru whose effects we are living today. As long as Sardar was alive this madness never took off. Sardar Pate's Kar Committee explicitly recommended that linguistic states not good for India.

Nehru and congress added the language politics to divide and rule;

Manipulating caste, divide Hindus, self serving agenda - this is the essence of nehru family and congress. Now of course they are using this thakeray idiot to split the marathis.

Hope maharashtrians and hindi speakers will give a fitting reply to these crooks next elections.

Solution: Let the feelings of antinational vermin be damned. Make citiies like chennai, bangalore, hyderabad, mumbai, lucknow, kolkata and ahmedabad be declared UTs with immediate effect.

The article shows a subconscious marathi bias. Nevertheless Anil's core point is correct.language politics is not good for India. The only beneficiaries will be anti national vermin that seek to undermine India.
