Issue Work Permit & Problem Is Solved!
by shaikh Akbar on Mar 19, 2008 06:38 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its high time, maharashtra govt should keep aside vote bank politics and think something which will help betterment of mumbai.

Issue work permit, give first preference to maharashtrian and then take in people from other state, brains are required to implement this, but i dont think any of the politician thinks this far, they just give us shit politics everytime.

Not too many comments ???
by Subodh Karode on Mar 19, 2008 06:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This message is clear, to the point and without accusations against any community. Probably that is why so few comments have been posted. Lalu should answer the 2 questions - 1. Why Bihari people whose standard of education is as such poor compared to most others should be given preference in Maharashtra? You don't need brains to qualify for any clerical job in railwaysm banks or anywhere. 2. Even after so many railway ministers from Bihar, why Biharis haven't learned to buy tickets? Why the trains to Bihar are inherently in bad shape?

I am not an idiot, mind your language. I wrote this because there was this thing mentioned about Bihari people coming to Mumbai for railway entrance exam. All this gets very bad press in the media. In Bihar or UP, forget about outsiders, even local people who don't belong to the caste of ruling CM or minister find it hard to get govt largesse. And nobody mentions this on front pages nor so much energy is spent on debating. People accept it as natural. Only when it happens in Maharashtra that the local people are shown in bad light. It is the most cosmopolitan state and still people continue to criticize Maharashtra and its people ... Firstly, it is the leaders of these states who drove these poor people to other states. Now these poor people after settling here want to call their own leaders .. Also remember that due to reorganization of constituencies, lot of seats are going to be available in Mumbai and other big cities and all this is because of that only. Local leaders even in Congress who were not bothered about influx of people and their leaders till now have suddenly woken up to the reality. It was the Congress supporting MNS all the way ... But the fact remains - why these poor settles crave for UP and Bihari leaders - when it is these leaders who were responsible for their plight in the first place? Influx of people may be acceptable but not of their leaders ...

Maharashtra State Creation was a Fraud
by Singha on Mar 19, 2008 06:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In erstwhile Bombay Presidency, Marathis were the majority people.

There was no fight as such between Marathis, Gujarathis and Kannadigas.

Maharashtra state was created to clip the wings of Morarji Desai and Chavan, who nehru saw as a threat.

Nehru did similar politics with Tamils and Telugus to clip the wings of C Rajagopalachari, India's first Governor General and Subsequent Prime Minister (those days, CMs were called PMs) of Madras Presidency.

State Reorganisation was a fraud perpetrated by Nehru whose effects we are living today.

Nehru and congress added the language politics to divide and rule;

Manipulating caste, divide Hindus, self serving agenda - this is the essence of nehru family and congress.

Most of indians attitude has changed since the last 50 yrs. Earlier a little bit of regional feeling used to exist among all indians. No fault in that cos thats human nature. But now due to increased movement of indians to other states and ALSO due to many other factors regional feelings have come down a lot. If raj thakeray had made this agitation 50 yrs back he would have got millions of supporters, but now only his party workers agitated but not other marathis. only the politicians have regional feelings these days, not aam aadmi.

The Marathi army of Peshwa Baji Rao - I defeated the Mughals during the early 1700's. Delhi was under the protection of the Marathis. Also, when Ranjit Singh ruled from Lahore, Delhi was under his protection. The Shindes (Gwalior), Holkars (Indore), Bhosles (Nagpur) had great influence in the northern areas. The Pant/Joshi/Dixit and other communities are a part of the Marathi Diaspora.

ther was no "national love" in hearts of Maratha kings during peshwa or panipat times. this country map th8 we see 2de was not existing in those times. therefore, whatever this colonel has written about maratha bravery is not really true. panipat war had no national sense , they didnt really do all this becoz they loved india but they did in the interest of maratha kingdom,so nothing gr8 bout it. same is tru for shivaji also. he captures forts so th8 he cud spread his kingdom, no naional interest as such.
people should not forget th8 the realy national outburst happened becoz of a mutinee sepoy called mangal pandey. he refused to take british attitude and th8s how the mutinee spread. th8s the turning point of history.all happned wid mangal pandey (now i dnt see any reason to feel "proud" of him coz he ws a north ind brahmin, thank god he was not a maharashtrian :-D )otherwise all thes marathis wud hav made a big hue nd cry of th8.

Bombey was brain child of Farcis & latter developed by Indians comming from all corners from India. Actually all big cities of India are developed by people comming from all parts of India. By stopping this, we will stop develpment of that city. In long term, by the action of Raj Thakre & company, Mumbai & Maharastra will suffer.
