if we expect an italian to defend our country against these highly subtle chinese intrusions, then surely we have no right to live as an independant nation.

Chinese Arrogance Towards India
by Ramchunder Maraj on Mar 26, 2008 09:43 PM  Permalink

Hats off to rediff.com for publishing articles regarding the above which may also be critical of the media.I have sent various messages to the major newspapers of India which have mentioned the veritable dereliction of duty in not informing the masses about the dangers of appeasing China but because they are critical of the lapse in this regard on their part the editorial staff are hypersensitive about this aspect and my messages have never seen the light of day!I reiterate that it is the media's duty to inform the populace at large about the eventual danger to India in appeasing China.Again, the media is more interested in highlighting the activities of film stars akin to Nero playing the fiddle while Rome was burning.Youth of India become more interested in your honour in defending your country rather than showing an inordinate interest in designer clothes.R.M.

Its really stirring and heart awakening one. I am very much appreciated with your exploration of a genuine problem. I personally feel that we need to unite heart, brain and mind of our people to have and feel the difference, we cannot imagine today. Its quiet easy; all we need to do is to take responsibility on our shoulders to change the things and fight through to the conclusion.

Cina & its Big Daady Policy (Attitude)
by rakesh dikshit on Mar 15, 2008 12:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Salute to at leat one MP who has the courage to talk in the Press about a proble which ha India as its centre point. No confusion and plain citation of facts whcih I think the Politicos never heed. Riijjiis attempts to create noise is very well acknowledged with a request to keep harping the trumpet until heard. What has our Surplus - Cash Rich Railway Man Laluji got to say in this regards. Except giving doles for poll votes his attempts in all his sucessive budgets towards North East has been ridiculously miniscule. What will he do if the Chinese takeover Aunanchal Pradesh. With all his manegerial skills he lacks a simple talent called Strategic Planning. Or is it only the Defence Ministers Role?

Time has come when the PM should call the NHAI, Railways, Telecom, Information & Broadcasting and the Defense Ministry Policy makers together and make a policy exclusively Arunanchal NAd Bangladesh Specific including:-
1. Roads leading to one km of the Macmahon Line or the actual border which only they know of.
2. Rail line into Meghalaya and AP and Tripura and Mizoram.
3. Setup of Mobile towers and satelite links along both Bangla and China borders for continuous transmission of Indian Programmes and monitoring.
4. Setup of Hydro power stations in Arn Pr and Meghalaya and Tripura for fostering industrial growth.
5. Create Army and Air Force Base camps ( family stations) in Arn Pr and Tripura.
6. At least one additional airport /heliport annually

Best of Luck India

I fully support the six points raised by Sh.Rakesh in his message !In fact if members here are really concerned though General Deepak Kapoor does noynthink too much of incursions! As Retd. Geeral Malik too did not think too much of the Kargil incursion !Mr.kiren also says that Indian Govt. wants Trade thru sea route and not thru road via arunachal and land routes!Because India fears that this will fllod Indian markets with Chinese Goods! The Indian Market is alreadt flooded with chines egoods!and the Middle Class is already lapping up the chinese goods!even Mr.Kiren wants that Trade with China sould be increased thru Road via Arunachal Pradesh!who will gain from this !Will India export more to China or china will Export to India its goodies and really flood Indian Marlets !But India shouls devlpop Arunachal Pradesh as it is India's territories and the aspirations of the people should be met by increased devlopment!By all indications the new Govt. of Mr.Kiren's party will be at center and then we hope India will built infrastruture as Sh. Rakesh mentions and Arunachal will prosper!Mr.Kiren also wants people to people contact! With Road with china opened and devloped the Arunachal will be the hub of all trade with china and instead of going to china by air for Imports the Middle Class Traders of India will have easy access to China and Arinachal will definetly gain by trding with china as well as the Middle Class traders !A great Idea by Kiren Rijuju!
