Talking a lot of sense after British- American nonsense
by Avtar Kaul on Mar 03, 2008 01:38 PM  Permalink

British-American mafia will commit suicide. India and Pakistan uniting for progress, cooperation, social and economic ties will make them jobless. Henry Kissinger will commit suicide. There intriugers will will work overtine to see that peace does not dawn between India and Pakistan. I pray for democratic aspirations to prevail. Pakistan Army and Anglo US interests one and the same. They are behind the support to mujahids, fanatics and lunatics in both the countries. Let truth and wisdom prevail over ignorance and irrationality.

What trade Pakistan can do with India , This comment has made the head of pakistanis bow down.Till now they were saying big things now they has given up their claim on kashmir.Tommorrow they will talk of the merger of pakistan with india. That means they are playing when they wish.this shall not be acceptable to India. What does future generation meanns.Finalise kashmir issue first and get out of the way. Then it is upto india whether they want to do trade with Pakistan or not.

Sound of Reason
by Khandu Patel on Mar 02, 2008 05:25 AM  Permalink

I take Zardari at his word that he means what he says and that the other political parties will fall in line his policy. I think Bharat will find his suggestion that it engage with all the parties of his coalition impractical. While his statement is welcomeOf course, the red carpet cannot be laid out for Pakistan's leader until it is sorted out. If this is the final recognition by Pakistan that it is no longer pursuing a claim on Kashmir so much the better for improved relations between our two countries. Contrary to Indian thinking, Pakistan's military so much in hoc with militants has been unwilling to to relinquish its claim on Kashmir. Musharraf's days may be numbered, but Pakistan's military remains to be sent back to the barracks for good.

Der aaye Durust Aaye

This was India's stance from the day one. It was Pakistan that had strong reservations about negotiating anything else but Kashmir. The battering received by the Pakistani forces in Waziristan and elsewhere is the cause behind this sudden heart-change. Who knows, Al-queda's continuation in Waziristan might prove a boon for the latter's improved relations with India. Will it or won't? Only time will say, since nobody knows what might take place between India and an Al-queda and ISI hounded Pakistan tomorrow.

islam and pakistan
by susi soni on Mar 01, 2008 09:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

when in the name of islam and muslim, the kashmir problem can again be bought into focus, because, the pakistanis still think themselves as childeren of Babar/Auranzeb/Ghazni etc so they still dream of ruling the Hindus, but if they look back how they became hindus they will hate the very purpose. They will shun what they are, The land of Indus/ the land of Jhulelal, the land taxils and swat the seat of saraswati, all liquidated by stupid thought, since now all hindus and budhist converted they have to fight , so the pakistanis fight each other, this is a unique example of converted community hating their own heritage, the best way is to come back to their Vedic fold, then there will be peace in pakistan, they should follow Mahatma, and shun the islamic state, let the religion face challange, why stuff others in the name of the imperfect faith.

Naipaul quotes Salman, a Pakistani journalist:- We have nearly all, subcontinental Muslims, invented Arab ancestors for ourselves. Most of us are sayeds, descendants of Mohammed through his daughter Fatima and cousin and son-in-law Ali. There are others--like my family--who have invented a man called Salim al-Rai. And yet others who have invented a man called Qutub Shah. Everybody has got an ancestor who came from Arabia or Central Asia. I am convinced my ancestors would have been medium to low-caste Hindus, and despite their conversion they would not have been in the mainstream of Muslims.
If you read Ibn Battuta and earlier travelers you can sense the condescending attitude of the Arab travelers to the converts. They would give the Arab name of someone, and then say, 'But he's an Indian.' This invention of Arab ancestry soon became complete. It had been adopted by all families. If you hear people talking you would believe that this great and wonderful land was nothing but wild jungle, that no human beings lived here. All of this was magnified at the time of partition, this sense of not belonging to the land, but belonging to the religion. Only one people in Pakistan have reverence for their land, and that's the Sindhis."

Even today the Arabs in Dubai, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia treat pakis and sub-pakis (bungled-deshis) like pigs.

We don't really need the trade with pakis. They need it more than us. They buy our goods re-exported from Dubai. Let them do their Islam to themselves, and we can watch it on TV every evening.

This is the first sensible message from any political leader of Pakistan so far,India should encourage him with a befitting response. Zardari has spoken sense and needs to be believed.

Maybe he wants to talk about trade of the exporting of terrorist, jehadis, arms, drugs, fake currency etc... thats wat they can best offer to world and thats wat they are doing for many years...
they should first stop "these" trade only after that can think about other trade..
