MM Singh is not Democratic; Mulaem Singh is only for money
by Dipak Bose on Jun 30, 2008 02:36 PM  Permalink

Although the Indian government wants to promote the proposed Indo-US nuclear deal in terms of power generation, the deal has very little to do with power generation. Nuclear power contributes about 2 percent of the current electricity generations in India. At present, India was producing 3,300 MW. In 2020, the production would be 7,000 MW. According to the Planning Commission and the Prime Minister, the capacity of nuclear power would be 20,000 MW in the year 2020. In order to get there India will buy second-hand reactors from the U.S. to produce 13,000 MW of nuclear power. India will have to spend about Rs. 2 lakh crore for reactors and another Rs. 8 lakh crore to set them up with fuel facilities to achieve that goal. The Indian budget is only Rs. 6.5 lakh crore per year. Thus, India will spend two times more than the country’s annual budget on setting up these vintage reactors only. Even if India were to achieve a 50% increase in nuclear power generation (which is unlikely) such a step would only increase India’s overall electricity output by one percent at most, and would only increase India’s overall energy output by a fraction of one percent.
The reason, USA is pushing so hard that India should accept the deal, is, that, this deal is nothing but nuclear non-proliferation treaty in a different name.
If MM Singh is a democrat, he should have organized a Referendum or at least a voting in the joint session of the Parliament.

Good. Now both Congress-I & SP can lick the muslim xxx together!
by suhail khandekar on Jun 30, 2008 11:35 AM  Permalink

those, whose character or vices are similar, become friends, they say. so aptly said. congress and sp. both have been licking the xxx of muslims for their votes. drooling at their vote-bank like beggars. truly. beggars they are beyond doubt!
it is this very sp who was supporting SIMI at one time. now of course, they wont dare doing that again because SIMI left them no scope by virtue of their deeds! they will go to ANY extent for licking the xxx of muslims!
anyway, who cares for hindus? you mean that Bogus & Jobless Party (BJP)? or VHP or Bajrang Dal??? they are even WORSE than congress and sp.
hindus have no savior, nobody to champion their cause!

I hope the BJP will learn to build good alliances. Unfortunately, their think-tank spends more time in history debates.

In India earlier majority was of those who acted in the interest of nation. Later the power went in to hands of rascals who had nothing to do with national interest except self gain. Tremendous Loan from International Finanace Sources were taken by the Govt for which Nation stood as security. While the utilisation of funds was to fill the pockets of few. No cotrol on that. So a big loby got formed who know being with govt how to make monaey. So for them CHAIR is more important than NATION. Now it is a well spread CANCER - which can not be easily cured. Need revolution. TIME WILL DECIDE THAT. If you can form a strong NATIONALIST GROUP - START DOING SOMETHIG WHAT YOU CAN - THATS ALL -

there is only one state where Hindus are in minority ... so, one example isn't enough.

Hindu CM or sikh PM, I think you guys give too much importance to the religion which should be personal to the leader .... you are trying to create an aura of discomfort if ruled by a non-Hindu

India was ruled by mongols since whenever ... I don't even remember when they came ... and then by the british ... the Hindus survived then and now when Hindus themselves vote such christialns or muslims to be power, it just means that we vote based on merit not religion.

I think Sonia Gandhi wins her constituency every time with a record margin ... now, don't tell me that all her votes come from non-hindus.

what is wrong with this abc? india was never ruled. delhi and adjoining areas were ruled by turks and then by mughals since 1192 AD. pl note the date monkeyyy. even akbar could not rule india. he tried all he could to conquer mewar and central india, but failed. he could never suppress mewari and bundel rajputs. aurangzeb tried all he could to conquer central india, but failed against shivaji. and we are talking only about central india. we havent even got further down. dont get your madrassa gossip on a public forum. you will make a laughing stock of yoruself and your fellow muslim brethen.

Alibaba:

Kindly replace BJP with "Secularists" in your message to make it complete and true...

What's the basis for forming each and every post-poll alliance?.... "Keep communal forces away from power"... read as "Let's get to power by any means"... :-)

Has anyone wondered, if keeping communal forces away is the top priority, then why the hell do you fight against each other in the elections? Have pre-poll alliances.... not like Karnataka, where after getting handed defeat, Sonia moans -- "this was due to fragmented secular vote".. ;-)

Boss Alibaba, . . BJP will win power not by doing "everything" like you mentioned, but by simply winning more seats... .watch out.. :-)

Your General Knowledge tells how aware you are in Indian politics. Mulayam Singh was defence minister during JD rule. During NDA rule LK Advani was the home minister. And regarding escorting terrorists is concerned they were holding 200 Indian citizens in Kandhar, and they could have been killed in 1 second by Jihadis. So get your facts right before you even say a word...And by the way what about congress govt In kashmir whose running govt. with a Anti National Party(PDP)

SP has already got one so called politician who draws money from Government but is seen standing behind Amitabh, be it Dubai, Cannes, Bankok. If these are politicians who are voted in by people of the state, then they DESERVE to remain poor. But then there is possibilty that Anil Ambani's billions to Amitabh may filter to SP!

Alibaba:

All slums in Mumbai have been "regularized" by Congress governments... so no question of grabbing public land by joining BJP... :-)

All you need is to board a train (preferably without buying a ticket) to Mumbai... .land there, and build a shanty.... Secular forces will subsequently ensure that you can get a 300 sq ft flat, which of course you sell at 10,20, 30 Lacs depending upon location... and move on towards bigger better things... oops.. bigger better shanties.. :-)

Anyone raising concerns on the pressure on civic infrastructure -- you refer them to Lalu, Abu Azmi etc... they'll come and perform the last rites of civic administration... :-)
