Sam
by siddhartha srivastava on Jun 30, 2008 01:37 PM  Permalink

Let all the politicians including the honourable??????? president of India may go fly a kite. Sam Bahadur did not need any one of these gorillas to die in peace. He had his family with him and love and respect of every single common member of Indian public.

Please repeat with me----- All you gorillas you may go fly a kite. We were and are with Sam Bahadur and salute him.

manekshaw & allegation by ayub..
by Bunty on Jun 30, 2008 01:32 PM  Permalink

false Allegation and lie by gohar ayub khan on manekshaw's involvement in selling military secrets did not helped manekshaw's cause.
this may be reason top bosses did not attend in last moments.
poor sam in ill health was not even able to defend these alegations.

Although I respect your disapproval on this matter and may I say I'm on matching wavelength with you on this but I request that you should not indulge in passing remarks usually passed by those you hate.

GOOD BYE SAM
by deepak ashish kaul on Jun 30, 2008 01:27 PM  Permalink

Very well written article. It shows exactly how the moral values of the past like bravery and chivalry are degenerating in these so called Modern times. A majority of people feel that patriotism is something foolish and only restricted to the army. I may well add that had FM Manekshaw passed away at Wellingdon (New Zealand) the number of the mourners from amongst the Netas would have been much higher.
"Prior appointment" cannot be cited as a reason for absence here as death does not announce its arrival at anytime. This lackadaisical attitude clearly shows how much we care for those who guard our borders with their lives.
But believe me Sam, you'll always live in the hearts of the Common Indian Man and your life will always motivate us. Good By, May you rest in peace.
