Very well written article. It shows exactly how the moral values of the past like bravery and chivalry are degenerating in these so called Modern times. A majority of people feel that patriotism is something foolish and only restricted to the army. I may well add that had FM Manekshaw passed away at Wellingdon (New Zealand) the number of the mourners from amongst the Netas would have been much higher. "Prior appointment" cannot be cited as a reason for absence here as death does not announce its arrival at anytime. This lackadaisical attitude clearly shows how much we care for those who guard our borders with their lives.
