SHIKHADI PM
by Anand on Jun 20, 2008 01:39 AM  Permalink

Atlast MMS decided to call it a day. He cannot act anymore. He wants to be a martyr in the eyes of people and gain some sympathy. I don't whether this gimmick will work?

Maharaja (?) Duleep Singh and Manmohan Singh
by Sameer on Jun 20, 2008 01:37 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Duleep Singh was kidnapped by Britishers, tortured and forcibly conmverted the Christianity. Then the Sikh army was used by the British to capture Bihar and Bengal. After a few years, British used Bihari Msulims ( which refer to as Purvaiyas ) to subjugate Sikhs.

Britishers ruled India for 100 more years by making Indians fight each other.

Manmohan Singh is another Duleep Singh. He should be removed from PM as soon as possible. I am surprised many Indians have forgotten the period of slavery.

Sameer,

They have not only forgotten but also just chosen to ignore it!

Soniaji - MMS, Lady - servant relation is the new relational model we Indians have to start getting used to!

Indians are so badly occupied with making money that they wouldn't mind being ruled by China!

In another 30-40 years, India will be divided by the Chinese into more easily manageable parts all thanks to KaunGrace party which is going to sell India to China like it sold its gottas to Italy!

All this garbage about Jai Maharashtra, Jai Bihar and Jai Hind will be a thing of the past when we all have to sing the Chinese national song and become hore-es for the Chinese rulers!!

Brother Sameer,

I don't think the US has any interest in "Human Waste Management" for them to try to usurp a toilet like India!

If they were interested, they have one right at their feet!!

Show him the way!

This man has assumed a dictatorial role which is totally against democratic principles!
When the large majority of the entire nation feels it as a danger to security and sovereignty of the nation, this man is trying to exercise an authoritarian rule to nullify the entire nation's valid view!
Similar was the occasion when some one approved permission to East India Co.’s entry into our nation centuries ago which turned out to be so dear and costly to our nation the memories of which are still lingering in our minds afresh! Should we not be firm to say "NO" this time? Have we not heard that recent world opinion declared U.S. President Bush and Pakistani President Musharaff as most untrustworthy leaders of the world? Further, knowing about the notoriety of Bush in the world matters, can we afford to trust him? When he is leaving his presidentship shortly due to expiry of his term, how can he help if any danger arises to India due to this treaty?
Above all, P.M. proved himself that he is not a practical man with due imagination! Late Dr.Eintein said, "Knowledge is important, but imagination is more important"! An effective leader's brain should not be restricted only to theory based upon available data, but one that could predict and farecast on the basis of an over all considerations of many aspects like thorough analysis of precedent, nature, character and conduct to evaluate his trustworthiness on the basis of Bush's past actions in the world matters etc.,! The entire n

YES WE REALLY NEED N-DEAL. WE ARE FACING HIGH POWER PROBLEMS, FACING PROBLEMS WITH PAKISTAN, DO YOU PEOPLE KNOW PAKISTAN ALSO DEMANDED THE SAME DEAL BUT US DECLIEND AS THAT IS NOT SO MUCH TRUST-WORTHY TO GIVE THE NUCLEAR FUEL. WELL THE THING BEHIND LEFT PARTIES WHO THINK THAT AFTER THIS INDIA WILL NOT ABLE TO MAKE OR USE N-WEAPONS BUT STILL IF YOU WANT TO USE N-WEAPONS YOU WOULD NEED INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT, INDIA IS NOT THE ONLY LEADER ON THIS EARTH. THINK FROM MIND, NOT FROM KNEES.

no, america did help india during the 1962 war. but that has nothing to do with the nuclear deal. this deal has to be decided on its own merits.

we cannot blame the usa if it tries to contain us - that is part and parcel of geopolitics - if you (india/indians) are an idiot who is to blame! we have to be smart enough to get what we want without yielding too much. we should get more than we give.

and the reason we do not have a good relationship with america today is not because of america who would have loved to have us as an ally - it is because of nehru's idiotic policies like non-alignment and pro-soviet inclinations. america is the most powerful country in the world and for the first 40 years after independence we did everything to antogonize her (though enjoying her largesse in many spheres) and instead supported countries like china who only stabbed us in the back. sure, little doubt that america has its faults - but her strengths/good far exceed it.

Good going Mr.Prime Minister
by keith pavlak on Jun 20, 2008 01:29 AM  Permalink

Finally, some balls ! good going Mr.PM. India as a nation is the master of procrastination and we delay taking any decision good or bad. Mr.Narasimha Rao even made it into a policy "Taking no decision is also a decision". I can very well understand that you have staked your personal reputation on the nuclear deal and your credibility is unblemished. It is about time you call not only the buff of the left but also your own party members. For better or worse you have a few allies supporting you all of whom cannot see beyond the next election. You have obviously seen the impact analysis of going forward with the deal and also the repurcussions of it. I am sure as an academic you have seen the cold hard facts of it and I for one am willing to hedge my bets with you considering we have hedged our interests with far inferior prime ministers barring your immediate predecessor, Rajiv Gandhi,Lal bahadur Shastri and Indira gandhi. By not going ahead with a deal that we proposed we not only shoot ourselves in the foot but endanger any other deal we might want to sign in the future with any other nation. At a time when we are surrounded by nations arming themselves to the teeth we should not give a perception that we are indecisive and weak in taking decisions. Go ahead and make the call, we are with you.

What does the Left Front want.
by Basker Mathrubootham on Jun 20, 2008 01:27 AM  Permalink

They want power. They want US investments in bengal. They want good relationship with China. They don't want responsibility. They don't want accountability. They don't want anything good for the country. They don't want the nuke deal.
They want the PM to lick their boots :-(.

It is about time Dr Manmohan Singh takes control.
