I have been expressing my views on the deal right from the day communists are opposing it.It does not require any ratification in parliament since it is a deal and not a act of pariament.Ten times more money per year we are spending on import of oil,than what other wise goes or comes in due to nuclear deal in an year.For this huge imports, is govrnment taking any approval from parliament?Hence its the prerogative of the government to sign any deal which in the interest of the country.As the Prime Minister braught out clearly the entire exersize of confidence vote is a futile exercise,except to prove majority.

The result after the trust vote clearly shows that there were heavy cross votes and abstentions and some members reject the WHIP issued by the parties under which they elected!!! The calculation is like this: Opposition side: 256 – Ruling side: 275 : NDA abstentions: 10 : Cross voting from the opposition side: atleast 7. For this entire DRAMA, as revealed in the Parliament, heavy money bags and favors given to those members who elected by their innocent supporters from their respective constituencies (Again we bows our head in shame!!!). If it was a true democratic voting, then the actual result could have been like this: Ruling side : 268 (275 – 7) : Opposition: 273 (256 10 abstained members 7 rebels / murderers of democracy). These Indian Americans we are reading about are the lobbyists who are getting paid for the work they are doing. No one does anything for free in US. Even former president George H.W. Bush is a lobbyist for big oil because of the links he developed with Saudi royal family members.

Mr "Truth Seeker": For a change, please try to do justice to your adopted screen name. I personally wrote to my state senetors and congressmen to vote for the bill. I did it not for any money but for the love and feelings I haev for India. I don't know about you but a lot of us don't try to make money by selling our mothers or sisters. So instead of criticizing folks who worked hard to help India, try and do something yourself instead of empty, hollow and shallow talks !!!
