deve gowda sacrificed his PM post becoz he want to have more sleep......as an PM he had hectic schedules and he did not find enough time to sleep....his sleeping at meetings, parliament are an example...
There is no need of this deal for U.S. to make India an American slave.see our MPs value now in Market. To make India an American slave they can purchase our total 540 MPs without any bargaining.
This sarcastic congress has to be wiped out. They can do anything to cling to the power. They polarized the society in the name of Majority & minority. They are using tax payers money for horse trading, creating vote banks and filling their own coffers. We have to teach these pseudo secular, sarcastic filthy congress a lesson who betray their own religion and country for power.

Did you suddenly wake up just now? Where did you see US taking over all the Nuke control of India? Only civilian reactors as deemed by India will be placed in IAEA safeguards. Stop this baseless rhetoric and please do some research. This deal is important for India to generate electricity to catch up on electricity and future growth.
With Kalam and Brajesh Mishra ( and I hear even Advani and Vajpayee ) supporting the deal - the rest of the leadership has really let us down. This will really go down as a historical blunder - a move to support congress would have isolate casteist and pseudo-secular elements in Left front , BSP and Samajvadi party. Apart from securing plentiful energy for the future. The day of carbon fuels like oil, gas and coal are OVER. US is moving rapidly towards solar, wind and nuclear energy and in less than 10 years from now will have mastered the technology. The expensive and dirty oil will be used by third world countries.

good analysis Mr. Anurag, perhaps the best I have seen in this rediff forum so far .Exactly what Dr Manmohan has seen the vision of future power by nuclear fusion .Nuclear power is so low cost that even i gram of nuclear molecule of uranium can last 10 years to produce unierapted power .

Anurag Shrivastava, Wake up and understand that politics in a Democracy is not run on the principles taught in Sunday schools. Politics is all about winning and only about power. 1.What makes you assume that the Congress wants to isolate pseudo –secularists with or without the BJP? The UPA was created as an experiment to keep the BJP out of power and keep the pseudo–secularists in power 2.What makes up assume that the Congress wants to keep the caste based parties out of power. In 1999 it was with the same caste based party that Sonia Gandhi claimed the magic number of 272 to replace the NDA. Could she not have supported the NDA and prevented the caste based parties from coming to power with her in 1999. 3.Why did everyone from Kapil Sibil to Manish Tiwari scoff on the visual media when the RSS editorial suggested that BJP and the Congress tie up to save the country .? What you are suggesting is the principle opposition party support the UPA and bail them out only in the name of what you assume is a deal that is in the national interest . It never happens anywhere in the world. The Deal is good and it is important. But it is for the UPA to see it through. Remember how the NDA got the POTA passed! Be assured that if the NDA comes to power they will also see that the such a deal will go through . be also assured the Congress will find excuses to reject it !
All the defections including that of Shahid Siddiqui shows it is not UPA but UNPA and NDA that are indulging in the defection game. But Shahid Siddiqui's defection has made the game clearer:
a. The Left's game-plan is to foster Mayawati on the nation b. As the UNPA gains momentum, BJP's prospect of victory shrinks. What follows maybe is mass desertion by regional parties, particularly of NDA towards UNPA c. The deal is being opposed as anti-Muslim
Within these re-alignments taking place, the BJP and NDA may re-consider their vote. Abstentions maybe the order of the game

BJP should dig some sense into it's head. What will it again by opposing the deal that is being made out by other parties as Anti-Muslim. All the BJP MP's should vote with Congress in favor of the deal.

You should dig some sense in your head.BJP is not opposing the deal itself but some of the conditions. This filthy congress is one who doesn't want to take BJP in confidence for sake of muslim votes. If congress shows some initiative to talk to BJP then BJP can support. If it doesnt then you can criticise no need to exhibit your stupidity now.
This Indo-US Nuke Deal is Not Good. It is Only to finance the Bankrupt G-8 & their allies.
The Propaganda of Lack of Energy is a UnTruth.
Proper Water Management thru Water Harvesting in Village Ponds, which were actually filled up and Encroached by Congress Party workers and its splinter groups Will Solve a Huge Power Requirement from the AGRIculture Sector.
Stop Power Theft And Use that Money to Finance New Projects.
Campaign for Social Afforestation with Plants which can be used as Bio-mass to generate Energy, Which means a double advantage. A Huge Amount of Energy Demand for the AC/Refrigeration Purposes will vanish. Also, Rains will be better And Hydel Power Generation with existing Capacities itself will Increase.
Diversify Industrial development across Geography, So that both Public and Private Transportation Costs will decrease. Which means Less Petrol/Forex And Also Lesser Energy Consumption in the Homes. People Also will have More Free time in their Lifes.
Encourage Non-Conventional Energy Sources which have much lesser Gestation Periods.
PLS UNDERSTAND that the GDP Growth Mongers & Foreign Agents Are Not Allowing the Above things happen because they want to grow their wealth at the COST of the Environment And Our Tax Money.
REJECT THIS N-DEAL. TOPPLE THIS UPA GOVT.
ALL THE PARTIES SUPPORTING THIS GOVT ARE ONLY SUPPORTING FOR THEIR SELFISH INTERESTS AND NOT BECOZ THEY UNDERSTAND WHAT IS IN THE DEAL.

Some of what you say are very valid. This game of money has been going on since the dawn of human civilization (guess what Alexander wanted by conquering the world). However, as the fight as suggested by you must continue, it is pertinent to note that we do not live in isolation on planet earth. Resources like coal and other fossil fuel are for a limited period of time before they run out. With the model of development that we have adopted as being energy intensive, the alternatives - though important in themselves - are just not adequate to look after the energy requirement in the future given that India requires to grow at 8-9% PER ANNUM for the next 35-50 years so as to bring abount prosperity (as defined today in the developmental model that we have adopted) to all Indians equivalent to our current middle-Middle Class level of lifestyle. There are people who say that for India and China to give their citizens lifestyles akin to americans would require the resources of 2 Earths!!! The point I am making is that the existence or demise of the UPA Govt. is immaterial to a greater debate for Indians in particular and manking in general. Is the current development model based on an ever increasing need for energy to drive it, sustainable? If not, what is the alternative? Perhaps, this could be a better thing to discuss on this blog insteady of the usual thakela religion-caste based gibberish.

Anup seems to be CPM supporter; if its so, he is surely brainwashed. If u are surely a communist, avoid american airplanes, computer etc. and began to use chinese toys.
Gowda is not acting like an ex-Prime minister but like a typical street politician. we all know how he became P.M. Laloo in a meeting 1996 told the coalition parties kissi gaddhe ya goda go bitta do . The coalition immeditely took goda as gowda and thus we had Deve Gowda as the P.M. Since then after he lost the prime ministership and can only pity him. DGowda and sons owning crores and crores of property are still not satisfied. And grabbed as much as possible before dumping BJP As an ex-prime minister, he is expected to air his comments on international and national issues. Gowda says he is a man for the poor. Just visit Padhmanabhanagar and see Gowdas inheritance. You cannot sell a property without their blessings Gowdas two childern look like your neighbourhood robberers. What educational qualificatio they have to become Chief Minister and a PWD minister Now it is Mr . Mr Gowda calls himself a Mannina Maga . Does mannu refer only to the land in and around Bangalore? On the contrary most of the time his concern seems to be real estate in and around Bangalore, so much so that he crusaded the exit of eminent people from important agencies. The people of Karnataka lost the services of Mr Jayakar Jerome soon after Mr Deve Gowda formed the government with Congress and then Narayana Murthy.
