Some of what you say are very valid. This game of money has been going on since the dawn of human civilization (guess what Alexander wanted by conquering the world). However, as the fight as suggested by you must continue, it is pertinent to note that we do not live in isolation on planet earth. Resources like coal and other fossil fuel are for a limited period of time before they run out. With the model of development that we have adopted as being energy intensive, the alternatives - though important in themselves - are just not adequate to look after the energy requirement in the future given that India requires to grow at 8-9% PER ANNUM for the next 35-50 years so as to bring abount prosperity (as defined today in the developmental model that we have adopted) to all Indians equivalent to our current middle-Middle Class level of lifestyle.
There are people who say that for India and China to give their citizens lifestyles akin to americans would require the resources of 2 Earths!!!
The point I am making is that the existence or demise of the UPA Govt. is immaterial to a greater debate for Indians in particular and manking in general. Is the current development model based on an ever increasing need for energy to drive it, sustainable? If not, what is the alternative? Perhaps, this could be a better thing to discuss on this blog insteady of the usual thakela religion-caste based gibberish.
