FIRST OF ALL THE RELEVANT QUESTION IS, IS NUCLEAR ENERGY (AT THE COST OF NATIONAL SECURITY!) THE ONLY SOLUTION TO OUR ENERGY WOES?
WHAT HAS CONGRESS BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST FIFTY YEARS ON ENERGY FRONT? WHY THIS SUDDEN SPREAD OF CANARD THAT N-DEAL IS THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR OUR ENERGY WOES?
N-ENERGY WHICH IS ABOUT 2.5% MAY INCREASE TO ABOUT 5% (AS REPORTED BY US SCIENTISTS AND CAN BE VERIFIED AT THEIR WEBSITES) EVEN AFTER THIS MUCH PUBLICISED N-DEAL.
DO THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY KNOW WHAT FORM OF ENERGY USA PROPOSES TO HAVE FOR ITS FUTURE? ..NON CONVENTIONAL ENERGY LIKE SOLAR AND WIND.
WHICH ARE THE COUNTRIES THAT HAVE MAXIMUM POTENTIAL IN SOLAR AND WIND? ...COUNTRIES IN AFRICAN AND INDIAN SUBCONTINENTS..
OF COURSE NUCLEAR ENEREGY IS GOOD FOR INDIA. BUT NOT WHEN THE N-DEAL IS DRAFTED IN ITS PRESENT FORM WHICH IS A THREAT TO OUR SECURITY.
THE CONGRESS HAVING FAILED IN ADMINISTRATION, HAVING FAILED TO STOP FARMERS SUICIDES, HAVING FAILED TO CONTROL THE PRICES AND HAVING FAILED TO CHECK THE RISE OF BJP, IS BANKING ON JUST ONE THING NOW. IT WANTS TO JUST DEFAME THE BJP AND ITS OPPOSERS AS ANTI-NATIONAL. BUT THE TRUTH THAT THE BJP HAS LAID THE FOUNDATION STONE OF THIS DEAL. EVEN IF THE CONGRESS ENTERS THE N-DEAL, THE BJP WILL GET ITS SHARE OF CREDIT. BUT THE CONCERN REGARDING THE COUNTRY'S SECURITY REMAIN. CONGRESS HAS FAILED TO RESPOND AND CLARIFY THE DOUBTS OF THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY. THEY HAVE TURNED THIS DEAL INTO A POLITICAL WEAPON....
The Indo-US nuclear deal is essentially a diluted version of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which India, under both Congress and BJP governments, has refused to sign since the 1970s. Why? Because the NPT is deeply biased in favour of the five original nuclear "proliferators" -- the US, Russia [Images], Britain, France [Images] and China. It unjustly ties the hands of a responsible nuclear power like India which uses nuclear technology to run its civil reactors as well as maintain a minimum credible nuclear deterrent.
the day America announce war against taliban, that day in the afternoon, 7 American military aircrafts was survelling near the military base near Islamabad, requesting for a landing permission. Islamabad was totally unaware about any such scheduled landing. But somehow being forced from upper level, the control tower gave permission to all the 7 aircraft to land. As soon as they landed, few US military track suddenly appeared and US marines(those in the aircrafts)got onboard to those tracks, quickly headed to several nuclear reactor stations. They off guard the paki forces from there and took the control from them for inspection thise nuke stations. When musharauf was informed about the event, he contacted concern US Military depts in Islamabad where he was asked to made necessary queries to white house. when he did, Bush asked why the hell these pakis are shouting..?...

friends, India is going to face similar treatment like the one above mentioned.. If they sign the deal

did you consider that maybe the pakis were not capable of protecting these sites and hence the US troops took over?

The article cleverly misses the other side. By not signing the Deal, what India could achieve? It will not have fuel to the existing Nuclear Pants It can not come out of the present sanctions It can not have the access to the Hitech which is presently denied to it It can not continue its nuclear research being isolated from the Nuclear countries It should always live under threat with Pakisthan on oneside and China on the other Those who donot want to see India as prosperous are against the Deal

USA IS PRESSING FOR THIS DEAL BECAUSE IT WANTS TO SELL THIS OLD TECHNOLOGY AND MACHINES TO INDIA. IF YOU LOOK AT THE FUTURE ENERGY PLANNING OF USA, IT IS PLANNING TO INCREASE SOLAR AND WIND ENERGY SO THAT THE ENVIRONMENT BECOMES CLEANS AND THERE IS NO THREAT OF NUCLEAR RADIATION AND CANCER AND THOUSAND OF OTHER DISEASES FOR ITS CITIZENS.

1. If nuclear energy is contributing just 3% of our requirement and just 6% by 2020. It doesn't make much of a difference. What about balance 94%. So, fuel to our existing reactors even if made available doesn't solve energy problems.
2. Whatever sanctions even when removed contribute just 6% of our problems by 2020. What benefit even if they are removed.
3. What hitech when it will be withdrawn when India tests. Its best to develop indigenous tech.
4.Nuclear research anyways they do not wish us to continue as 90% of our reactoors would be under their supervision.
5. It would have live with threat if it doesn't have a nuclear deterrent. That's the Big 5's objective. They want India to remain powerless.
6. India by signing the deal just gets 6% power at 120 bilion dollars and loses independence. Its better to go for coal based , hydroelectric and gas based power.
If there is any truth in what the author says and there is no reason to disbelieve, why is the PM so keen on pushing this one-sided deal without any effective debate in this country ? Can a PIL not stop this ? He is an unelected PM and his party has just about 25% seats in parliament. Would the deal have any legal sanctity at all ?
Indo- US deal is important from every point of view as the two nations have many things in common being democratic country and commonality of interest but the whole episode became controversial due to commercial overtones and the developmental objectives have become misdirected and whole country has not supported it whole heartedly
