HARISH NAGPAL
by bukkaraya srinivasa anantha krishna on Jul 18, 2008 11:42 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

HE SAYS THAT CONGRESS HAS FAILED ON ALL FRONTS AND ALSO CONFIRMS THAT NO MONEY OFFER WAS MADE TO HIM BY CONGRESS,AND THAT IS WHY HE HAS DECIDED TO VOTE AGAINST THIS GOVT.

HE IS FEELING LET DOWN BY CONGRESS THAT WHEN THEY ARE OFFERING TO MPS(AS PER THE VERSION OF BJP) AT A RATE OF 25CRORE PER VOTE WHY HIS NAME WAS NOT CONSIDERED BY CONGRESS.

NOW IT IS RIGHT TIME TO NAGPAL TO ANALYSE HIMSELF WHERE HE HAS FAILED WHEN EVERY ONE IS GETTING AN OFFER FROM CONGRESS, WHY NOT HIM

The reason Congress is not giving him a deal may be becuase some congress leaders dont like him personally.

If Harish nagpal thinks that Congress is ridiculing by not giving him a deal, so he has the right to oppose Congress.

Nuke deal & independent MP
by Ashwin on Jul 17, 2008 11:02 PM  Permalink

You are one brave man with manly spinal cord. Go ahead and gather amny other independent MPs who (do not) know Congress tricks very well. Already Congress has announced expansion of Ministry after the Vote of trust. SO ALL THE FOOLS WILL FLOCK AND SUPPORT CONGRESS, IN THE HOPE OF GETTING A MINISTERIAL BERTH. WHAT CAN THEY DO IF THEY ARE NOT GIVEN EVEN SEAT, LET ALONE BERTH, AFTER THE VOTE? CONGRESS IS CAPABLE OF BREAKING ANY PROMISE OR ANY COMMITTMENT ONCE THEY CROSS THE BRIDGE. THEY NOT ONLY CHANGE THE NAME OF THE LUCKNOW AIRPORT BUT ARE CAPABLE OF CHANGING THE NAME OF LUCKNOW ITSELF OR DONATING LUCKNOW OR UP ITSELF TO THE FAMILY CHARAN SINGH. INDIAN LEADERS ARE VERY VERY GENEROUS WHEN IT COMES TO DONATING OTHERS PROPERTY.

Support Congress, Commit Suicides
by Bharat Kr on Jul 17, 2008 08:23 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Support Congress, Commit Suicides. Anyone who supports the sinking ship called Congress, will commit suicides. People of India will teach this non-perfoming Congress-UPA govt a lession. Congress party had nothing to show to the people of its four-and-half-years rule and through the nuclear deal it was now trying to divert the attention of the people from the 12% inflation and of mal-governance.

gandhi party mps - including both $100 million lawsuit italian gandhi mp and the rape accused gandhi mps - have not read the nuke treaty in the first place. octegenarian pm singh, terribly inflicted with fading eye sight problem, has merely heard it from his consultants what treaty supposedly says. if you ask these gandhied mps about the nuke treaty, they merely say: "everybody knows the details of the treaty, they are on the website". the indian people need to know what kinda people are presuming to decide their future.

Why is BJP here?
by kiran kumar on Jul 17, 2008 08:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If Harish Nagpal and "Independent" MLA takes a decision (based on whatever justification), why should BJP convene a press conference?

In India I guess an MP has enough influence to call for a press meet and convey his decision.

On the outset, it looks like, if the same MP's decision was otherwise Mr. Lalu would have convened the press meet.

The focal points of the whole issue today UPA and BJP. I would have been more happy if they were "Performance of Govt." and "nuke deal"

Independent MP Nagpal will vote with BJP
by jamsheed abumohammed on Jul 17, 2008 06:51 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What an irony, till yesterday Mr.Nagpal,Indpendent MP was independent but today he is different. He decided to vote against the Govt for "they failed on all fronts". Addressing a press conference with BJP Naidu, Nagpal said that Congress has not offered him any money. Was that the sole reason to move to BJP. Nobody asked a question whether BJP offered him anything. Why suddenly he discovered love for BJP and decided to vote with them? It is for him to answer. What is clear here that BJP is trying hard to bring to its fold as many MPs to its fold as possible to vote against UPA.It shows its nervousness and lack of self confidence. All indications are that it is sure to lose and there would be cross votings by those who have faith in secularism. It is possible that even Communists who are under pressure may abstain from voting to save the face of not voting along with BJP. Somnath anger was precisely about this stand of the CPI(M). Karat has played a dangerous game and even a seasoned politician like Yechury distance himself from such a move. There is crack in the rank and file of the Left parties. Take the case of Mr. Basu, a Communist Veteran, even at this advanced age of 95 cautioned Karat and advised him to go slow in the matter. He stood his ground and found himself isolated in his own party. Why then he has skipped Bengal from the itinery? The dissent has started in his own party and tide would turn against him fully if he decides to vote with BJP in the Trust vote.

yes jamsheed the BJP having won 130 seats during last election should sit quietly at the Parliament and they did not have any moral right to act as an opposition party simply because they are not adapt to the "secularism" being practiced by other political parties in the country. Who are they to reflect the sentiments of another section of voters in the country. All should follow the "secular" concept propounded by Congress, Lefts and other regional parties and must keep BJP, which is bold enough to raise its voice for majority community in the country.
Further, I do suspect that Karat might have fallen victim to ideologies of BJP simply because he was given more powers to take decisions on his own. He should also have been made as a puppet. But it is too late.
Hope my views also as confusing as yours bu at the same time hitting out at BJP without sense or any reason

He may have compared the money offered to Goa BJP MLA's by congress with the money offered to him now and found to be negligible.
No worries, our great economist will give more soaps soon to him.
