Strange logic!
by Mahesh on Jul 18, 2008 06:24 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What does voting with BJP mean? Because BJP is opposing the govt and BJP is untouchable, nobody should oppose the govt? This is funny. By this logic, BJP decides the policy of other parties.

Anyway, Commies said Muslims are opposed to the deal. Can there be a more communal thinking than that? But for all these parties BJP is a communal party. It will be high time the missionaries and mullahs realize the game being played by these parties and support BJP.

Congress is unpredictable. 1984 was a bad time no doubt but sikhs were not exactly doing a great thing by celebrating murder of Indira Gandhi.
Things have moved on since then, now MMS is PM of India.
BJP under a good leader is good for progress. As long as there is no extreme leader at helm.

CPM is just doing what they are best at
by Sandeep on Jul 18, 2008 05:02 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

CPM does not mind voting with anyone as long as it suits the wishes of their chinese masters.

They had opposed Nuclear tests in 1998. A clip from indianexpress from that time:
"
NEW DELHI, May 12: The Left parties have taken a critical view of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government's decision to conduct three nuclear tests, saying that there is no national consensus on exercising the nuclear option.
"

They similarly opposed liberalization in 1991. Thanks to liberalization, India is growing by 8-9%.

They now oppose this as in a way, this pushes India in bigger league and in more direct competition to China.
CPM will be happiest if India could grow at 2-3% and they can happily keep on brainwashing poor people. They must be really afraid of modernization as their philosophy has failed everywhere except China to some extent. It gives them pleasure to see China getting far ahead of India in everything.

So whether it was BJP at center courageously executing nuclear tests which turned India into a major power or NarsimhaRao and MMS starting liberalization and BJP continuing it, CPM has always been on opposite side.
Any good can happen to India but it can even remotely threaten China, they will oppose.

Congress Party and Bush have hired paid agents to abuse all opposition parties on discussion boad like this to mobilse support for this fraud nuclear deal which will ultimately steal our freedom like British Raj deal.
by Raj on Jul 18, 2008 04:09 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

People of India know these tactics very well and they are not going to be fooled by this back scene drama. Mass Murderer Bush who has the curse of millions of innocents who lost their lives due to his evil imperialistic policies will never bring blessing to India rather than sharing that curse. Can anybody tell more when than 400 millions Indians living in remote Indian villages who cannot afford to pay electricity bills, how this deal will benefit them.
Mabe this is lottery for MMS, Sonia & Co. who will collect prize for 10 future generations but common Indians will never benefit.

Even though this deal is passed the life of this deal will be as short as present Congress rule.

They cannot put the seal of Imperialism on the heart of our young generations and all this will backfire soon. India is a great nation not like Georgia, Ukraine, Phillipines, Nigeria, Iraq, Somalia and Afghanistan where they can put their stooge or pawn and control everything with Puppet government.

Don't worry too much about Bush. He is almost gone. What we have to see is if something benefits India, then why not? This moral policing of the world by India was 70s thing. Why should India not progress because of Bush's acts in other places?

Cost of Nuclear power is interesting subject but it is not a huge expense over conventional sources. Building a plant is very costly but running it is cheaper than conventional sources. On the other hand, it is much cleaner than conventional sources and does not contribute to global warming as much.

It takes ten years to build a plant and another ten to dismantle it after its life is over in three decades.
It is the most unclean energy, the waste by products are dangerous to humans for thousands of years. If not treated properly generations of Indians would grow with missing legs, mentally retarded, and other body defects. Who in the right mind and with some knowledge would support nuclear energy baffles me.
Nuclear energy security is a myth.

But what do I know..

Please do some research on third generation nuclear reactors.
It takes 4-6 years to make them operational with current designs.
Radiation tests around reactors are regularly done and results are in limits. There are plants to process spent fuel.
75% of French electricity is produced by Nuclear plants and 40% of Japanese. Even US has 15% of total by Nuclear. When they do not have deformed people, why should India have it now?
It just needs to be properly regulated.

How is voting done in US by the politicians?
by QandA on Jul 18, 2008 03:05 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The voting by Senators in US is based on their own thinking and can be across the party line..

IT IS VERY COMMON IN USA TO VOTE AS PER YOUR OWN MIND AND NOT AS PER THE PARTY HIGH COMMAND. THE DEMOCRATE CAN VOTE FOR A BILL SPONSERED BY A REPUBLICAN AND VICE A VERSA..

It's only MORONIC INDIA where if you don't show a majority vote on an issue the Government falls down....

BJB's Selfish Act on Nuclear deal
by jero on Jul 18, 2008 02:49 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I strongly support the Nuclear Deam even though I am not supporter of Congress. BJB or Communist are behaving like anti nationals on this issue. They are against the national interest and they are more concern about their party not the people/India. BJB/Communist cannot tell any valid reason why India should not go for this deal. They want to achieve a ploitical gain through this. Already India faces crisis in electricity and the Nuclear Technologies. India has been isolated for decades in the world of nuclear technology. Already our Nuclear plants are running out of fuels.

Friends, please don't believe/support these politicians atleast on this Nuclear deal issue, they will throw us into dark for their ploitical gain, and they will do anything for that.

We want the Nuclear deal should be done!!!!!!!!

Stage managed Show
by Ladoo sab on Jul 17, 2008 09:45 PM  Permalink

From day1 I believe this NUKE-deal issue is a stage managed drama.
1.UPA as a govt all failed in all front.
2.CPM and congress has a reason to fight and win maximum seat in Kerala and WB
3. CPM's animosity to ManMohan should be a reason to stop him as PM next time and the doors will open either for Mom/Son

Let us see whether BJP and NDA has guts to bring down this smoke screen and win next time.
