25 crore investment
by Singh on Jul 17, 2008 11:30 PM  Permalink

After paying 25 crores to an MP to save a goverment which is going to last less than 1 year long,It means Congress is expecting many times more earning after investing some paltry sum of 25 crore. Can we also imagine when expectation is to earn much more than 25 crore in less than one year, how much would they have eraned in last 4 years of their (mis)rule. Only God can save the country.

COST OF MP
by Ashwin on Jul 17, 2008 10:43 PM  Permalink

It is better to make Tax Free 25 Crores to be loyal to Criminals than dont make anything by being loyal to India. This would make best of Alfred Hitchkok's movie.

Congress bribed Ajit Singh with Lucknow Airport name
by Bharat Kr on Jul 17, 2008 09:46 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congress bribed Ajit Singh of RLD, with Lucknow Airport name. The airport was named after Ajit Singh's father Charan Singh.

Manmohan Singh is an honest person, and an honest person does this types of harakiri to save his minoroty govt and the promise to Bush. Congress can do anything to stay in power and control the nation.

I am sure, Congress will declare Emergency if they loose vote of Confidence. Indira did that when Allahabad Highcourt disqualified her due to fraudulent means, and todays Congress is worst than Indira's time. It is the bad fortune of the nation, a statesman Vajpayee was not given chance to continue in 2004 and make our nation prosperous.

a good message totally messed up by bringing in vajpayee, the number one man responsible for ever increasing terror across india because of his terror inviting lahore-dillie bus lines from the fully certified terrorist country of pakistan. vajpayee was the number uno reason why bjp lost last election despite india shining and rightly so.

you a black-n-white bjp lover? or brand brand brand new to rediff? you wont catch me loving the gandhis. the point is people never expected the treachery from vajpayee. history will blame him when india finds itself in future - i would say just next deacade - when india is embroiled in continuing frequent terror. and, courtesey gandhis who are now buidling up vastly on the pandora's box that vajpayee opened up - even a civil war. millions of pakis are in india already, and tens of thousands of them untraceable, according to police reports. gandhis are hastening the process with increasing frequency of lahore-dillie buses and samjauta express to import their new voters fraudulently and bolster their vote base. the hindus, even the otherwise smarter ones among them, are asleep at the switch.

Let we don't speak ill about a person, who is a person with higher level of integrity and honesty. Look, his govt lost by one vote; he didn't go for purchasing MPs like Congress (Rao purchased JMM and now Sonia-Manmohan doing the same). Vajpayee gracefully accepted the defeat, and returned back with more MPs. There is no standard to make Indo-Pak relations, as Pakistan is an unstable country. We have to keep trying different methods, normalisation of relation is one such method. BJP lost 2004 election due to its over-confidence and ignoring the core constituency. It was BJP's loss, but Congress didn't get mandate. They cobble together an unholy coalition after the election. And Congress behaving as they got the peoples mandate to do what they like. It got merely 7 seats more than BJP and little about 1/4th seats (145 out of 545 seats).

indian people must not stand for the culture of corruption by their leaders
by Pradip Parekh on Jul 17, 2008 09:19 PM  Permalink

there comes a time when the people must lead their masters. for india the time has arrived. in this 10pct culture of corruption, it is clear the ruling gandhis are making at least 250 crores for every 25 crore it is spending to buy an mp. it is time that the people demanded a full audit of gandhis by a competent fearless impartial accounting firm, starting with rajiv gandhi foundation where most of the loot resides in bank accounts in shady countries. it is time for the people to reclaim their country from the robbers and thugs masquerading as politiciains.

Come to Karnataka - an MLA fetches Rs. 50 Cr.
by SS Kumar on Jul 17, 2008 08:47 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am surprised Bardhan is raising his eye balls at an appeasement figure of Rs. 25 Cr. to buy a positive vote for the upcoming trust vote. He is probably not aware that during the recent Karna- taka elections, the ruling BJP party seemingly paid Rs. 50 Cr. per MLA to muster up its major- ity. Yet the same people preach morality to others.

Why not you see the difference? In Karnataka, BJP already won the confidence, without any horse-trading. Now anybody joins the govt is the MLAs choice, as they don't like to remain out of power for 5 years. But, here Congress trying to get MPs for confidence vote, just to stay in power. Rao did that before by buying Jharkhand MPs, Congress replicating the same story.

Money makes the mare go
by mallaiah anchoori on Jul 17, 2008 08:28 PM  Permalink

Congress minted money during its these four years rule through corruption which reached its all time heights-especially in A.P which acts as its chief fund supplier/raiser.So,price is not a matter for it whether the "loyalty" being bought is worth or not.And to tell precisely,it is a misnomer to call the support bought as loyalty;loyalty is certainly a good term in its strict meaning. What Congress wants is a bail out from the D,Day and suffice it if it achieves it by the price paid now. This trading is not peculiar to Congress alone, but has become a common disease with all the political parties-the price, however, varying according to the purse of individual parties.
Congress knows pretty well that the MPs being bought for the exclusive purpose of winning the vote of confidence may not stick long with them and will be a of nuisance value for the rest of the term. But the demand is like that and the need & affordability of the buyer is like this. So,the deal is being struck between the buyer & seller to deal with the "Deal"
Congress may not be committing the same mistake as their trend setter P.V Narsimha Rao did by settling the deal in cash terms. There are hundred and odd other ways of paying the price to the seller;it need not necessarily be in the form of hard cash.
As the proverb says,"money makes the mare go".Nothing is impossible for it.Congress firmly believes in the dictum"Dhana Moolam Idam Jagath".In politics,it is the king maker.
