This is surest indication that the UPA is expecting the Govt to fall. They have no got their numbers right. In any case, the UPA is at the end of their term. They should wait for fresh elections before committing India to perpetuity just to satisfy the ego of one person namely MMS. This is not to pass judgment about the deal itself.

India cancelled briefing of IAEA members slated to be held on July 18 and no future date has been fixed.Two things could be inferred from this. One it is a preemptive strike against the opponents to the deal and the second one is that UPA has lost hope to win the Trust Vote on Tuesday. If it is an attempt to assuage the feelings of the Left, who walked out of the Alliance on the score that India sent draft agreement to IAEA, it will force the Left to rethink on their vote against the Govt. Secondly, if the Govt has rethinking on the whole issue of signing or not signing of the deal, then Govt is saved as Left would not allow it to collapse as desired by the communal forces led by BJP. The BJP was hoping all along that Left would vote with them.But this master stroke by the UPA would certainly upset all calculations of the opposition mainly that of BJP.What forced the PM to change the stance. May be the intelligence report would have cautioned the PM that UPA is sure to lose. If that be case, there was no point in going in for briefing of IAEA members in the capacity of the care taker Govt. The other thing may be that the UPA and allies do not wish to push the nation into the waiting hands of the communal forces. After all the public posturing both by the PM and the Left on the issue, it is difficult for them to retract their steps and this was the only face saving way. This step would probably bring together the estranged allies for a common cause of saving secularism.

Congress party brought down BJP's govt in 13 months without any reason, after that also can't make the govt, country goes to poll within two years. BJP govt's nuclear test also not supported by Congress. Now the want support from BJP for N deal. Why should BJP support sense less Congress?
The BJP is not fully against the deal, first you understand!! it wants to renegotiate certain class, but from first day onwards congress ignored the BJP even it did not include the co ordination committee, instead it included left.
the problematic area is the inspection of our areas even without our knowledge..
We want to develop our thorium, which cost is low and abundant in India. But America wants that India should lick them always for wanting of uranium!!
what will happen to our research till date? What about the mentality of our scientists? is it sin to develop something on our own?
In 2032 our power requirement is 8 lac megawatt and thru this deal we only get 30 to 40 thousands MW, then why so much hurry?
