From the present prevailing political developments, one can easily draw the conclusion that nobody is against the country's requirement of nuclear energy. But, the major political parties are opposing the Nuclear - deal with the US on the following grounds:- BJP - They really want to have such treaty with US, but only under their rule which they hope to attain by next General Election. Left parties - Though they know the fact that the Chinese Govt.has already signed similar treaty with the US long back, they do not want India to have any such treaty with the US, apprhending the fact that, under such situation, the India would emerge a more powerful country than China in the matter of nuclear field. So they are opposing to the deal misleading the people of this country. It seems that they are more patriotic than any other parties in India.Indeed they are trying to fool the people of the country. Regarding the stand of other regional / small parties of India, they are exploiting the present political sceniario. In case their demands are conceded by the UPA Govt., they are ready to support the deal. What a wonderful political scene that is being the looked upon by the people of the country. Under the situation, the UPA Govt. should take all possitble measures to see that the deal is implemented in the interest of our nation. My whole-hearted support to the Hon'ble PM Manmohan Singh and the UPA Govt. K. Govinda Bhat Cochin - 18, Kerala.

hey do you know the cost of importing nuclear tehcnology? you know why US wants to do nuclear business with india? Trust me i don't know the statistics. But I know that there i a powerful lobby in US to push the deal through. Do you think they want to see India to do well in nuclear technology. No way, they are only interested in the revenue they will get it because of this deal. Otherwise they have to shed the jobs in those companies in US if no new business is coming through.
What do you want to do with the CV when country is in the fear of economic slowdown. He is not just the PM for the nuclear deal, he is PM for our country. I hope you remember that. If an external affairs minister was talking day in and day out on nuclear deal I can understand and not the PM.
You know who was the person behind the economic growth of India in 90s? If you think it was MMS, you are wrong. He was only instrumental in preparing and implementing the plans as he is very good in economics. But the power was given by Narasimha Rao who had vision for India. I don't care how much money he has made, but one thing I know is today whatever we are like good jobs and lot of brands to choose from is because of this great man.

You cannot guarantee that he is an honest man. No one can become politician if he is honest. Onecannot rule while hs is honest. This honest man and his partyman are busy in sale purchase of Ministers. They have purchased Amar Singh and Mulayam Singh. Deal in a Deal. MMS is puppet in foreign hand (Sonia Gandhi) whose honesty is inclined to Italy. Remember my friend that after signing this deal, India cannot testfire or even breath in the subject of nuclear weapon. It cannot testfire without the consent of Superpower. They will poke their nose in every activities relating to Nuclear Policy. Just for our vested interest, see what we have done. We have selled this country. We had done this earlier in the name of growing business during British Rule. Invited East India Company and after a centuries struggle got independence. Just for the sake of keeping words and for saving its nose MMS and Sonia is inclined to Deal. Who cares for the country. You cannot expect the patriotism from these politicians, whose every effort and steps is towards securing their chair. It is a pity that whole nation fails to understand this. God Save India. Give them knowledge and belief. Shame of Manmohan and Sonia who are now on their knees before countries biggest broker.

Left was fighting for people's requirements for last 4 years. Congress forgot it. Congress also recognised that if some fundamentalists are with them, they can rule another 600 years!!
After we are looted by America they can withdraw the agreement any time. Total expense is about 11 lakh crores...
The clause on "Dispute Agreement" in our 123 merely says: "If any disagreement between the parties [India and the US] arises US will be negotiated and settled." This is an amazing blunder of the part of our negotiators of the 123 for which will pay a very high price in future. -- Ashok Parthasarathi, Scicence Adviser to former PM Indira Gandhi. Had you been of this age in 1991, you would have blasted MMS for his proposal of economic liberalization. Remember The Left took the similar position in early 90's. Do you not enjoy the fruit of it today?
By the bye, how much ( compensation) do you take from BJP (Advani, Jaitely, Sushma, Karat, etc) for writing blog here?

See neither you nor we are in position to earn any penny from this issue. This is a platform of open ideas, and everyone has right to express himself even you and me. see the way they are acting on behalf of broker Amar Singh, he has now become spokeperson for Congress not of a SP, todays article endorses it which says "Congress is more mature". They are not mature they are mature for horsetrading and buying MP's. Remember the way Shibu Soren was purchased, which has been proved by even court of law. Do you have any answer to this. If they are confident the way they have run this government for last 4 year, then why they are rushing for it. If they are capable they can go to the people with this issue in next general election. If they are Master negotiator they can convince US again, what if Bushes goes out for next term. On one instances they have not shown the draft of agreement, on next instances SP uses the name of Hon'ble former President Kalam for its malafide intention. Both Mulayam and Amar Singh are running from pillar to post to take shelter for the misdeeds and irregularites in past. The SP is a party of Mafias. Remember how Shivpal Yadav was taught a lesson during the election by Central Forces. He and his accomplices faces are known to the public.

'' The mistake that the enemies of the deal in India and the US are making is to seek satisfaction over their own wish list in the safeguards agreement. The negotiators have made sure that the safeguards agreement does not veer from the objectives of the nuclear deal. If anything, the Indian negotiators have ensured that the agreement does not impose new obligations on India. ''

What is the problem with this ?? Other way, Should we say India will attack USA, if there is any dispute agreement ???
It's unfortunate that such important issue is bugged up in the midst of politics. As a common man we understand that the same should have been debated in parliament either for good or for bad. We have no choice. Now everyday you will find some new statement /slogan from concerned in press or public meetings to air their views. The other issues like inflation go below the carpet

The best thing happened to India was that some sensible people elected Dr. Manmohan Singh as the Finance Minister in 1991. Now Sonia Gandhi selected him as the Prime Minister of our Great (full of corruption) Nation. At times people settled abroad and others living in India talk about how he is running the government, and lots of time I hear that he is not a strong leader, he is a puppet of Sonia etc. Guys PLEASE support him for 1 term in the government, we need him more then he needs the post of PM. He will change the nation if we give him 100% support for 5 years. Is it too much to ask? We have supported people like Devi Lal, V P Singh (made the country bank corrupt) and many others, those who had no idea or experience to run a nation of 1billion people. We have corruption in most govt. departments, no infrastructure, no basic roads etc. etc.

I have been observing you for some days. Why are you hell bent against MMS. I dedicate this excerpt from an article for you. Enjoy. We have to continue to develop the alternative energy sources and improve the existing ones to optimum efficiency. It is the only way that India could avoid a turmoil in the energy sector incase the Nuke-Fuel supplies / Eqpt -Spare parts Supplies etc... are prevented by the Nuc-Supplier Groups or U.S.A. itself. Preventive measures are a must even if we go ahead with the Civilian Nuke-Deal. It all involves huge investments and for this reason the govt should go for joint venture with Indian Companies (in large scale) in the power sector.
