For the last sixty years the Congress and assorted leftists have been collecting bribes. They are the specialists. The BJP are amateurs.
The Congress is now following liberal, pro-business policies -- something advocated by the BJP for a long time.
The rest of your comments are sheer abuse. Abuse is not an argument.

PLEASE ANSWER THE QUESTION... I AM ASKING WHAT ARE BJP'S POLICIES... I HAVE'NT HEARD ABOUT ANYTHING!!!
When PV & MMS started reforms, many had no clue what these visionaries are talking. The rest is history, inflation is all over the world...we have to live with it. Comming to Nuclear deal, common man has better knowledge than most of us on this board. 75% of France's energy comes from Nuclear, USA cannot go for Nuclear energy, 1. Public are against Nuclear plants on the grounds of Environment, 2. The lobbyists in US had stumbled rail and other transport Industries.
We have to accept USA has wide clout when it comes to NSG, Chanakya and Plato, re-emphisised time and again that displomacy is the number one tool a leader or nation has to rely on, Panditji, PV, Atalji, MMS have all mastered it. India is widely regarded as the knowledge base of the World. Obama and Bush want to compete with our education standards and we Indians, Obama spells about India in every speech(and his speech is prepared by Strategists) , Lets believe that our time us come.
India was never a single country, Its the British who have combined us as a single nation. That's a blessing in Disguise for us. Lets not fight on religion, caste, region...United we are strong...divided we fall prey to the weakest enemy. Weakest Enemy can be anyone..countries, bad policies, disease, disasters, naxals, bureaucracy. We have to fight as a team, as brothers and sisters. We are the best brains, walk in any tech Industry in the developed world, we are present in huge numbers. Indians Engineers and doctors are so much res

Fully agree with you. I do not care If Nuclear deal is US sponsored or Russsia sponsored. I do not care if it is signed when UPA is in power or NDA.
I would always support it, it is good for India.
I am Physics Major with Nuclear science as main subject. Subsequently shifted to OIL Industry. I can understand what we are currently going through, where we are and what we need for our Energy security.
In a diffrent way those who oppose it should look into reports and recomendations of Mr N.B Prasad (He retired as Chairman ONGC) He was Nuclear scientist at BARC with Double MAJOR in Material science and Nuclear science.
Was brought to Oil industry in 1977 from Nuclear Industry. Higly learned man with a wisdom and vision.
Long long back he recommended what is being followed NOW!!! I wish our politicians could work with the speed he worked.
He brought up Bombay high to production in record time. He recommended Nuclear power energy security with a detailed Comprehensive energy policy for India.

I am a common man, with technical expertise(not a political analyst), I personally believe both BJP and Commies have Political motives. They have no love for a TIMELY CORRECTIVE actions. I beleive we are already late. We should have gone in for 123 agreement much before CHINA went in for similar agreement with USA.

This deal is sopported by Cyber Coolies. These days we have more US supporters in India then what we used to have for USSR in 1980's.
Most of the supporters belong to the category who open the umbrella in Delhi if it rains in Washigton DC!
Nuclear energy is very costly and hazardeous. That is why US has not commisioed any power plant in last 15 years and Europe is decommisining one by one! except FRANCE no body is going for nuclear energy. France has its own compulsion.
Congress is US agent as Amar Singh is. US will dump its accumulated unk equipment and also prapare a ground for blackmailing. If we become dependent on Uranium supply for our energy need then they will start blckmailing India as they did for TARAPUR plant

I absolutely agree with ur views.
Just a comparison bet Atalji and Advani.........Though his ideology is not something i agree with, as a person Atalji was a visionary and more importantly, a man of principles. Advani on the other hand is like a chameleon who can change his colours at the drop of a hat. His stance on the nuke deal is really deplorable.

dont get me wrong. i am one of the biggest critic of BJP's communal politics which i feel is the biggest threat to the nation today.what i meant was that he was far less communal than advani.
U have to give him credit for Pokhran II which was in keeping with India's long term nuclear policy. What i hate abt today's BJP is that they have given greater importance to silly political games over issues of national importance.
In this regard, things would have been different if Atal was in power(in BJP). this is clear from views of Brajesh Mishra ex National Security advisor (who was considered Vajpayee's man) who has clearly indicated that the deal is good for the country.

Who told you british united as one. This is communists telling you, please check about akhand Bharat of the olden times the times when britishers were hunting for food. all others are ok, please read about the history not from white guys books but our own.
I am one who has got enormous faith in our PM than any other politician like Advani, Karat, etc. They(vote-bank minded politicians) don't have the intelligence to understand the intricacies of nuclear deal. I cannot believe that the PM will compromise on the national interest by what is projected by the opposition and media as the 'rush through'. Just assume that after 3 years of negotiations and fine tuning, it(rush through) is probably preplanned to counter any move (who knows the spoilers)for blocking the deal. Don't go by the chameleon media who change colour depending upon their 'hosts'. If you cannot believe our PM and ex-president, you cannot believe anyone else. I have all along had a doubt that over the years, India has processed and stockpiled lot of Uranium but could not use because, if they reveal it, it will attract international backlash. So, to avoid that, now the deal to legitimise our stock even if external supplies dry out. Also, after the clearance from IAEA and NSG, we can get supplies from any of the NSG and need not fear about USA defaulting. You may also be aware that Russia and France are over-eager to do nuclear business with India. Hence, there is no need to doubt the deal's benefits. It is the jealousy of Advani & co. that someone(other than themselves) else is going to get the credit for the 'Historic Deal' which they are unable to digest.

Giridharan,
Your concluding sentence prompts me to respond! Our way of politics is self above nation! There are huge egos involved & the aam aadmi is just a tool in the hands of these scheming politicians. The common man is manipulated and even pays with his life while these politicians outlive everybody else!
We are indeed becoming irrelevant! Our numbers are a strenghth & the aam aamdmi can take hits below the belt but our leaders have scant respect for nation's survival. Don't we have national interests? It is clear this treaty is more political. China uses soft & hard power to the hilt. They score over us everywhere by the way they present their case! We are a divided house & our politicians re-cycle contentious issues forever to hood-wink the people. Issues are churned out one after the other to disrupt the normal life & the man in the street suffers most!
We can alienate outselves from the world arena. Cuba is trying to stand up. Vietnam is dusting off their years of wilderness. North Korea is still lost but China is helping them with baby-steps. Cambodia finished off 25% population under Pol Pot & still the nightmares haunt them daily! Europe is unrecognisable after the cold war
Let us stay relevant at least for the sake of our children. The world is not perfect! We have to make the best of a bad situation, as in our daily lives!
Yes.The PM is making history by throwing our non-aligned policy to dust bin to align with his ever-loving imperialist USA .Time will tell he led the nation to garden path.

We were never non-aligned. At the height of the cold war, we firmly aligned ourselves with the Evil Empire known as the Soviet Union.
History by adding just another page in useless Govts. Anybody to bet--India won't hav electricity, water, roads 25 years from now. In US TV channels and newpapers are not even giving passing reference to so called NUCLEAR DEAL and Indian politicians have already wasted 4 yrs on that like there is nothing else to do. Infact usually there is not much news about India in US as nobody cares and we don't have any friends internationally for us to be noticed or being considered as strong force.
History may indeed be made in parliament on the 22nd! Bjp may walk out avoiding to vote with commies on any issue. Leftists may walk out on the other side, avoiding to vote with communal forces on the issue. The PM's deal may get passed almost unanimously by the rest of the lok sabha! Churchian Sonia may go home smiling, after successfully dividing india between the pro-hindu and anti-hindu groups, to perpetuate her imperial dynastic rule!
I am really against the deal. I feel manmohan singh is running in hurry for this deal. We should not enter into long term deal with USA as an appendage. The biggest flaw in the deal is that USA will not lose much if it all deal has to be closed down in the middle. But India's loss will be enormous ! Moreover, We still are not being treated as "trusted friends " by over all US media and think-tank. They still feel that our "nuclear wings" need to be cut down. Manmohan singh is going into deal without proper home work. we will be under enormous USA pressure iun days to come and it could seriously dent our defense viz., China.(courtesy Hyde act)

Manoo,
We are indeed second class to China. They are a Permanent Member of the UNSC. Australia bends over backwards to please them with all minerals including uranium. By the time, our new plants are up after ten years, what could be the price of uranium? My bet is renewables will make such a headway that fossil fuels will be only for limited use. Oil can settle at $50/barrel making nuclear plants just another source of energy & a minority player!
Our disunity is the main reason for us getting a second-class treatment compared to China. This govt survived on the leftists life-support, who always threatened to pull the plug! Good that they are out of the way? We can become weaker if the leftists play nothing to lose by opposing everything to stay relevant ie being of nuisnace value only. They believe that their supporters keep track of their "inputs" by the number of bandhs/hartals they call! Again, the business people/tourists are assured of rule of law with an iron hand in China & nothing of any disruptive issues are allowed even for a minute!
We can never be taken seriously by others when we have a callous attitude to national interests! Unless we stand as one to solve these problems, it will be again lessons forgotten sixty years after becoming free. History can repeat itself in more virulent forms! We are the only one responsible for our destiny. Let us not blame others for our survival & attitude!
