Nuclear deal and BJP politics
by Anand Mujumdar on Jul 10, 2008 04:06 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It appears that for BJP power(Khursi) is more important than nuclear deal. Presently for any country to get nuclear material and equipment they have to sign nuclear non poliferation treaty. A NPT signatory can not conduct nuclear tests. Their nuclear activities are monitored by IAEA. India has not signed NPT. India has conducted nuclear tests. U.S. is making India as an exception for its good record for not transfering nuclear technology to other countries. After signing nuclear deal, it is up to India to use the deal. India does not have to construct nuclear power plants tomorrow. India can never get a nuclear deal which will allow India to conduct tests because the whole nuclear non poliferation regime laws have to be rewritten. If BJP thinks nuclear testing is necessary, then India has to be self sufficient for all her requirements.

self sufficient no country in the world is, so pls forget that, if the n.deal will ful fill all the power needs of the country then it is ok, question is will it? and if yes when? at what cost? till then what do we all do? today after 60 yrs of independence the entire country is not electrified, so what are we talking about. our basic needs are not being ful filled and here we are talking of n.deal.

Above line States we are in favour of deal but not with Congress -- clearly says even NDA also interested in N-deal.

NDA is the only party looks for the national interest irrespective of religion.

But saddest part is our government is not even concerned about to take view or approval from our parliment.
its different the deal is good or bad to our country but fact is it is subjected to approval from another country

Shame on AKALI LEADERS
by bharti on Jul 10, 2008 03:57 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

First of all shame of Akali Leaders. These Akalis have surredered everything in the hands of BJP, the Communal Party in India. Akali should help the PM in signing the Deal by giving him their crucial support. Leader of SAD who have given up everything to this Communcal Party which is trying to come to power and wants the mileage of this deal by signing it it it wins elections. In the present scenario, all the political parties are only trying to fullfil theirown interest by opposing such kind of deal, which will make India strong in the eyes of the neighbouring coutry(s). The country's interest has been given up by the oppositon parties. The CPM etc. never came against the Chinese evasion in Arunachal Pradesh. I appeal to all the Sikh Leaders in SAD or other parties, they should help PM out winning in such situation by supporting in Parliament and give the answer to other parties they Sikhs are united with the Prime Minister. Don't play in the hands of BJP who is just making the SAD fool. Sikhs should be united and vote in favour of the deal.

First things first... I think you donot remember (or were you even born before) 1984..!

It was not the BJP but the congress who tried killing sikhs all over in 1984, but did not succeed much. It is a shame that the same sikhs were killed who had been made so many sacrifices saving hindus for generations.. .from mughals.. from Britishers.

However it was not a religious attack but a polictical one. It was only congress party and its workers targeting hindus.

Sikhs cannot unite with this sikh prime minister as he is the one to forgive those culprits of 84 and made them ministers.

Also, the best part about guys like you is that BJO is communal, but Muslim League is secular. Anything to do with muslims is always secular.

This UPA government has not ethics left. I wonder how many thousands of crores might have been bribed to SP to support for this deal... all the taxpayers money going waste :(

easons Why Modi will Never be PM of India
by Vedprakash Sharma on Jul 09, 2008 12:28 PM Permalink | Hide replies

The best chance of Modi being PM, is if Gujarat declares independence. His chances of being PM of India is bleak

1. Modi is viewed in India as a terrorist though you Gujus may have another opposite view.
2. In India we distinctly dislike Gujus though you Gujus (perpetually in a state of denial)may think otherwise
3. Modi happen to be Gay. In Gujarat this may be acceptable as the majority is Gay. In India we frown Gays.
4. The last Guju as PM was an international embarrassment to all Indians. Drinking his own pee.
5. If Modi ends up projected as PM, the BJP will undergo a vertical split. Gujarat BJP viz the rest
