Not even a debate in Parliament ...
by Mayala Fakir on Jul 08, 2008 07:08 PM  Permalink

The cowardly , corrupt, morally decrepit, senseless, selfish, unethical manner in which the Congress Party, Manmohan sing, Sonia etc. are trying to shove it down the throat of India is despicable and utterly revolting and nauseating ..

We Indians are useless cows and sheep - we have no sense - we deserve nothing but servitude and slavery to Nehru family

Pranab Mukherjee Told Lies to the Parliament
by Indian Indian on Jul 08, 2008 07:07 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Pranav Mukherjee told the Indian Parliament that Hyde act doesn't apply on India. While US media squarly accused the Indian Foreign minister for telling lies to it's parliament. Hyde Act does apply to India, and this is thing they are hiding from nation. Everything is going in the right direction for the congress as per plan. The govt. will fall soon. The deal will not be signed(Sardaar has no Intention to get it signed). The media blitz and all the hue and cry over the Nuke deal was to put cover over the 4 year of dark ages of this govt. This govt. was a total failure and every MP was worried how are we going to go back to over voters in 2009. The deal is a face saver for this non-performing govt. It will fall soon, but as most of the people on this forum thinks 1000s of Indian voters will think 'Sardaar sacrificed his govt.' and he will also join Maino Antonia as a great Martyr...

Both Pranab Murkherjee and the US are telling the truth

Knickerwallahs point out that 1-2-3 Agreement is over-ridden by the Hyde Act. For one thing, an international treaty over-rides national laws. Even for argument sake the reverse holds true, what does the 1-2-3 Agreement say:

Article 2, Para 1 of the 123 agreement text released on August 3, 2007 clearly states:

"The Parties shall cooperate in the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. Each Party shall implement this Agreement "in accordance with its respective applicable treaties, national laws," regulations, and license requirements concerning the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes."

So there is no mention of Hyde Act specifically. Only indirectly through "national laws". But this mention of "national laws" is mutual. This means if Hyde Act is a domestic law of the US, we can have a law exactly reverse of the Hyde Act. In a dispute, we are bound by our national laws while the US is to theirs creating a gridlock.

So the argument of Hyde Act is only a bogey used by commies and Knickerwallahs to confuse the public

First get educated to protocols regarding international treaties. It demands only the final text that is put out in the public domain. Once the agreement is signed, you will be able to access on the net.

Democratic country is unlike Gujarat but more like India sans Gujarat. You have freedom of expressions unlike Gujarat which is a Police state. In Gujarat you criticize Modi, he bumps you out or throw acid on your face.

All Right has come from Italy and always adocating for Sonia Maino.
Sonia Maino may have got her share in this deal as has been in the past too. She is putting all efforts to sign it. She is not interested for this country.
Her Munsi Ji (MMS) who was heading World Bank and now made this country KANGAL will also get berth in US.
So don t believe to all these Italian Born Cartoons

As far as sellout to US, it is funny that the Commies and Knickerwallahs in the early nineties joined together to make the same charge against MMS while was liberalizing the economy.

MMS rightly ignored the Commies and Knickerwallahs and put India into a higher economic orbit - the 4th largest economy in the world.

So this time round, MMS should do the same. Ignore the Commies and Knickerwallahs and put India even in a higher economic orbit.

All Right, you are alright - typical case of sheep putting trust in the hands of a butcher. There is no need to be secretive about this deal. All we want is open it up for public scrutiny and debate the pros and cons in parliament. But MMS/Sonia/Congress junta wouldn't have none of it.

Remember knickerwallahs atleast ensure a knicker to the nation at the end of the day. Congress is bound to leave us all high and dry with nothing to cover our privates ..

Higher economic orbit ? Your delusion is mind boggling.

What kind of economy do you think is in high orbit when it shakes up and is in turmoil when there are ripples half a world away. India and Indians got a long long way to go before they get into any economic orbit.

Allright it might be 4th largest but its not free from inherent vulnerabilities and fiscal quick sands its being built on and projected out to be ..

Yah janatantra hai, kisi ke baap ka tantra nahi
by Vishal Sharma on Jul 08, 2008 06:52 PM  Permalink

Shame on the UPA govt for not sharing with the nation the complete text of the IAEA. How is the nation to know whether it is in our supreme interest or not? How are we to have a healthy debate on it? Are we, the people of India expected to have blind faith in the government? I wonder if the US Administration could also state to the US Congress and Senate that it cannot declare the full details of any deal being done on behalf of the ENTIRE nation? The secrecy behind the deal scares me more, as an ordinary Indian, than it enthuses me. Atleast the government must share it with the opposition BJP so that the entire spectrum of the Indian political diaspora is made aware of the repurcussions of inking a deal with the Americans! The entire American foreign policy mechanism is too short-sighted to even last through a single Presidency, what to talk of a decade or a generation! Hence, I plead, PLEASE Mr. Prime Minister Sir, do you know what you are doing? Please sir, as your tenure ends, leave behind a legacy that will benefit future generations, and not mess up things even more as your party has been prone to in the past.
