Is this guy really a doctor with a MBBS degree or a unscrupulous business man who got a homeopathic / unani/ ayurveda degree and pretends to be a doctor? If this guy is really a doctor, then society needs to do some introspection on what causes a man who has put in so much effort and time to be a urologist/ transplant surgeon chose to do something that had the potential to ruin his life. He must have known (if he was a real doctor) that no matter how many crores he made from this racket, once this was exposed he would be forever on the run if not behind bars and his family and childrn would be ostracised by society. Is it that unlike other professions (eg. software engineers, advertising consultants and management personnel) honest doctors especially in government service earn such a pittance for all their rigorous and long training (which sometimes extend more than 12 years) that they are forced to take up immoral means to support their and their families aspirations? If this is so, then the remuneration of the medical profession (those with MBBS degrees) needs to be looked into and quickly.
Such doctors should be hanged to death! Capital punishment is the only resort to playing with the lives of innocent patients. My mother passed away due to kidney failure so I know exactly what a kidney patient goes through and suffers. If he is cought I would strongly reccoment death penalty for having a fraud of over 500 cases!
MAR GAYA DOCTOR, AB POLICE DOCTOR KA OPERATION KAREGI. I THINK THERE ARE LOTS OF OTHER DOCTORS WHO ARE DOING THIS KIDNEY BUSINESS. POLICE SHOULD BE ALERT AND CHECK ALL HOSPITALS BY SENDING UNDERCOVER OFFICERS AS CLIENTS
I feel our system has got rotten. Everyone wants to get rich overnight and he is ready to do anything for it. Let it be doctor like this, policemen doing false encounters and taking rewards, media people creating breaking news of anything and using edited videos hidden cameras , ............. Its in every system, every profession. Our laws are full of loopholes, lawmakers are overpowered by politics, and police is full of corruption at every level. In stead of banning something by law and allowing it to go on on the backward, we should come forward to legalise these things to generate revenue. As smoking and alcohol ..... whenever banned, people found ways to get them. Legalised.... revenue generated. Prostitution.... its everywhere in country but illegal. If it is legalised, every prostitute is given identity card, and proper rules are enforced, STD, AIDS, sexual harrasment will decrease in society. Think of betting, its illegal. But you get news of what are the odds when Tendulkar bats on. Govt cant prevent this. Think of english premiur league. Betting it legal, under law and even covered with insurance. The same for medical profession. With increase expertise of doctors, more and more hospitals should be allowed for renal transplantation. Rules should be there for donors and a minimum amount of money should be fixed for donation (may be 10 lakh). This way the person who is ready to give kidney to earn will get enough reward rather than selling it for few thousands. Govt w

govt will generate revenue. And everything can be controlled. Think this way. Ofcourse, stiff punishment for those who break the law. Think the misery of renal failure patients who can not get adonor from family because of HLA mismatch.
Since the time this racket has been busted i have not seen this main accused's picture on the any of the TV channels. whenever there is a bomb blast they get the picture very quickly or a sketch. The police are not able to get any? shame on them or maybe they don't want him to be exposed cause they might be hand in glove with the doctor thats why. Also they should not rule out nexus with local politicians. Now a days doctors will make you do a blood test, x ray and urine test even if you have got common cold. Anbumani Ramadoss clean up your system first of corruption. Its needless to say that for getting a medical seat many aspiring students pay a hefty bribe to the colleges. The ones who are paying such high amounts are surely having plans to get back their principal along with profit. Only God Can save our poor sick patients of India.
You are right,Apollo and other private hospitals sre worst, in a cancer hospital in Mumbai a patient who bought costly injection from abroad costing few lakhs, the injection was sold in black by the staff and the patient was injected saline water! Can you imagine a crime of this order? Only fear of death by public lynching can prevent this. When man's conscience is dead , no system will work.A public audit by qualified doctors of all hospital is a must in the line of Human Rights Commission or PUCL etc.

It is a demand a supply equation. Right now there is a lot of demand for software engineers and they earn a premium. Noone can guarantee that the situation is going to be same for say next 20 years.
medical profession is steady and doc. earn a lot more when they get necessary experience and build up a reputation. Over long term, medical profession is a safer bet.
Also the obesssion of our parents and society for the doctor tag lead to the downfall. There are so many self finacing colleges and people are willing to spend any amount to get a seat, irrespective of the salary expected.

WELL A STATE BANK OF INDIA NEEDS ONLY AROUND 1000 SQ FT OF SPACE AND A HOSPITAL NEEDS 10000 SQ SPACE MINIMUM. ALSO MANY HOSPITALS ARE HAVING AIRCONDITIONED ICU'S. I HAVE BEEN TO JALGAON CIVIL HOSPITAL AN I'VE SEEN THE FACILITIES THERE ITS BETTER THAN WHAT YOU AR THINKING. THE PROBLEM HERE IS NOT THE INFRASTRUCTURE ITS THE PPL WHO ARE RUNNING THESE INSTITUTIONS.
