Doctor
by Fried Yakov on Jan 28, 2008 07:43 AM

Is this guy really a doctor with a MBBS degree or a unscrupulous business man who got a homeopathic / unani/ ayurveda degree and pretends to be a doctor? If this guy is really a doctor, then society needs to do some introspection on what causes a man who has put in so much effort and time to be a urologist/ transplant surgeon chose to do something that had the potential to ruin his life. He must have known (if he was a real doctor) that no matter how many crores he made from this racket, once this was exposed he would be forever on the run if not behind bars and his family and childrn would be ostracised by society. Is it that unlike other professions (eg. software engineers, advertising consultants and management personnel) honest doctors especially in government service earn such a pittance for all their rigorous and long training (which sometimes extend more than 12 years) that they are forced to take up immoral means to support their and their families aspirations? If this is so, then the remuneration of the medical profession (those with MBBS degrees) needs to be looked into and quickly.
