Karnataka : Come out of the rut
by PKN on Jan 24, 2008 04:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Elections in Karnataka give the people of that state a chance to redeem thmeselves. One may have personal preferences as to who should and shouldnot win but that I think is secondary to need to having a stable government in the state.
In the last one decade only Tamilnadu is progressing in the South mainly becuase the two Dravidian parties - the DMK and the AIDMK have sucessfully tailtwisted the Center to provide dispropotionately to that State ! NO I AM NOT SAYING THAT IS WRONG ! Kerala ( under a sick Left Front Govenrment ) Andhra ( under a visionless populist YRS Reddy Government ) and Karnataka ( bashed down by immoral coalition governments ) have remained staganant.
Karanatka and its people have a quicker chance to redeem themselves by giving a clear mandate - a mandate that ensures that small irrelevent parties like the JD(S) dont endup destroying the state any further . The BJP or the Congress is good choice but again much will depend on the leadership issue being clarified.
As long as this country remains a democrasy it must repsect that only responible people can demand a responsible Government. If you vote in Garbage you will be ruled by Garbage. That thumbrule cannot be changed.
Deliver the State to a party that can bring progress to its people . Ignore the freebies we live in times when 'free lunches' exist only on electiom manifestos.

don't mess up a good post by saying congress is a good choice. it is worst choice. the examples of a.p. and kerala you gave should nail that point. the right choice is bjp as the party is well motivated, and can marshal the right administrative resources, cut the govt waste and improve effcieincy on par with the most modern countries of the world. remmeber, teh hindsu must compete globally, and need world class leadership. expect the best, and you will get it.

All these politicals parties are liers and betrayors. We have seen time and again how the politicians in their lust for power and money have taken the people and state for a jolly ride. They keep changing the parties as they change their clothes. The recent tragedy witnessed being BJP denied their legitimate ruling of state by JDS. Do these parties realise that, the people who voted them to power to rule for five years have betrayed them within three years and have looted the treasury in the name of offering subsidy and other benefits to the needy which remain only in papers.
Congress and JDS have rules and ruined the state and Devegowda and family have taken for granted the Kannadigas are their slaves.
It is right time for the people of Karnataka to give a chance to BJP to rule and see their adminstration. If they come up and live to the expectation let us again annoit them else ditch all old goose and let educated youngsters come out and take the mantle of State goverance for the benefit of the state and people.
Dear Kannadigas, do not get carried away by political sops as it seldome reaches the needy. Since independence it is glaringly seen by one and all that the poor has remained poor and only the rich have become richer by looting the poor.

Let a bright day dawn for karnataka to restore back the lost glory due to the callous attitudes of these scoundrels.

All the State representatives at the Centre are useless and fit for nothing. See the contrast how the MPS of Andhra and TN get their work done. Senior MPS like Ambarish, etc., are sheer waste. Churchill has rightly said if wise people does not come forward to rule, they should be prepared to be ruled by Scoundrels. He has proved beyond doubt his visionary statement about India and Indian.
