Why do you think Pakistan is interested in Srilankan welfare?
It works like this! Pak gives arms on the condition that Srilankan GOvt compel LTTE to direct their ire on India. As a quid pro quo Srilankan Govt do not pursue LTTE hard. If LTTE does not fall in line Srilanka will use the arms given by Pak against LTTE.
So LTTE to survive in Srilanka will keep attacking India in the southern region with the help of ISI. Srilanka will provide safe haven to ISI agents who coordinate attcks on India.

What happened when IPKF was in Colombo?
Srilanka told LTTE to fight against IPKF and drive IPKF out of Srilanka. Srilanka didnt pursue LTTE as long as IPKF was there. Pakistan knows this and that is why this new ploy. Srilanka will use its leverage of controlling terrorist activities against India for economic grants from India.

Now India is growing super power in asia, aligning with loosing country will have long standing affect in srilanka...rajapaksha is blood thirsty...using his brother to kill innocent people by arial bombing and starvation...now he is digging his own pit
Even if India were to support SL Government, the ties between SL and Pakistan are deep.,
Both the SL airforce chief and Navy chief are alumnus of Pakistani Defence Academy .. SO which means Pakistan had good infiltration in the Sri Lankan establishemnt.
Pakistani Commandoes and Air Force Train SL Army.. Besides, Sri Lanka has a large and influential muslim population which are now believed to be ISI-Infiltrated..
Traditionally the pro-India elements have been the Tamils .. That is changing and very soon India will not have a solid foot in SL ..
We do not want to play the role of big brother,yet want to be recognised as big power, shame. Our neighbours are therefore more keen to have closeness with US, China, Pak etc.,etc., not with us.Therefore We have miserably failed to solve the terrorist problem.
This is yet another example of Foreign Policy failure. The Government's obsession with China and the west and the grandiose desire of gaining a permanent seat in Security Council has alienated a good neighbour and driven her straight into the arms of our sworn and arch enemy.
The Pakistanis will now get a foothold in Sri Lanka and thus we shall be surrounded by unfriendly (SOME OF THEM OUTRIGHT HOSTILE---READ PAKISTAN and BANGLADESH) neighbours all around.
It is also possible that India is supporting the LTTE clandestinely and arming the LTTE to fight the government in COLOMBO.This may be the reason for the Sri Lankans hobnobbing with the Pakistanis.
Otherwise lots of our tamil brother will die by paki/lankan army. India need to play very critical role in south asia. This is good news for Left and anti indian.

we have failed just in the goal of hunting prabhakaran, we have distanced from indian tamils in srilanka, the sri lankan have failed to reslove their problems, now they have called in the worlds greated problem,sri lankan airlines gone the islamic community, now defence will also go.sri lanka with pakistan is worst for both and a free bride for the pakis.our govt feels it can be only loyal to gandhi parivar, but then hunt prabhakaran and then help the tamils, at least do some ting it is not like our regular parrot talk all the decisions are left to the high command or madam what ever is decided the party and people will abide, now abide. it is a bad omen to have the pakis on another side.
