he is not even paying taxes..
by Sathish on Jan 14, 2008 11:36 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think as a student, and a minor, he only pays tuition to Oxford and not any taxes. Can anyone confirm?

Bhutto's family owns half of Pakistan. They can institute & fund a university in Pakistan. All South-Asian leaders know the power of knowledge/education. Then why are our universities still so badly funded and run?

Is it a conspiracy to prevent the common man to get good education? Right from Gandhi, Nehru to present day Rahul and Bilawal, all are educated in the west!

If these leaders are atleast patriotic, leave aside leadership, they will goto Indian Universities and not run abroad to qualify themselves.

For the high and mighty, not only education, everything else too is obtained from the West: medical treatment, for instance. Examaple: [From The Statesman, Wednesday, April 14, 1999] Former PM V.P. Singh says staying in Delhi is hazardous to his health. Mr Singh, undergoing prolonged treatment in the UK for his renal problems, has accused the government and the health ministry of not taking adequate care of his health, as his haemoglobin count had registered a sharp dip each time he came to Delhi. Mr Singh rejected offers of treatment from the AIIMS. In Delhi, Mr Singh refused treatment in premier government hospitals, preferring the privately run Indraprastha Apollo, where all his dialyses were conducted. %u2026 The former PM is in London for the fifth time in the course of his illness. His wife and personal physician are with him. The CGHS is paying a daily allowance of $100 to his personal physician, apart from taking care of his bills for stay and treatment. The CGHS has already spent about Rs 6 crore for the former PM%u2019s treatment.
The rule, as far as medical treatment is concerned, is as follows: if a VIP stubs his toe, [s]he gets treatment at Mayo Clinic, at government expense; if hoi polloi get bitten by a rabid dog or a cobra, or contract hepatitis through contaminated Delhi Jal Board water, they will get homeopathic pills.

Britain already makes billions from Arabs oil money and also unlawfully ruled pakistan.
Arabs increase the crude oil ouptut but gives them to BP and texaco at the same price and BP and texaco sells it at higher price. swiss bank does not have to give arabs interest but they take interest from others.

My dear friend - it is not Islamic criminals, it is criminals period. You seen to be of the opinion that these criminals have a religion? Why do you think that way? By that logic, Muslims should start calling all those involved in the Babri Masjid demolition, Hindu jokers/criminals, pandits, etc etc. Where does it end? You must remember that criminality has NO religious sanction - it is the handy work of a twisted set of people who try and justify their acts of cruelty by giving it a religious tinge.

All religions talk of peace and brotherhood and Islam is no different. It is sad that the religious heads and people with vested interests twist it to their convenience. One must not give in so easily to forces that divide the people of this great nation, Hindu or Muslim. And to answer your question as to why no Muslim condemns these fatwas - I don't think you watch television, particularly NDTV or CNN IBN where they have regular debates on these subjects. However, when it comes to collective voice, it is unfortunate that Muslims do NOT have adequete representation in government to have that voice, and modern education to decide between wrong and right. When one goes into the interiors of our great nation, education is still in the hands of religious schools and heads. How then would you expect a human being to have a balanced opinion when the all he or she has had in the name of education is a systematic brain wash - again both Hindu and Muslim.

While we are on this subjec

Dear Amresh,
The way you wrote clearly shows the hatred in you. Before calling anyone a Joker, please note that it applies to people like you more than anyone else. Do you know what is a Fatwa. Its is issued as a reply to anyones query for a problem which is asked from an authorised islamic head and he replies to the issue in light of Quran and Hadees(the way prophet Mohammed SWAS spent his life).
For your kind information, Javed Akhtar did take a Fatwa against Terrorism in the name of religion from Deoband and the Fatwa was that the Terrorism in the name of religion is Totally Anti Islamic.
But as you know our media, this news was not highlighted and a very brief mention was there on television channel.
The role of media can be judged from the fact that we indians are still not clear about what is a fatwa and how is it given. We just think that it is an announcement from a Muslim Cleric.

And Jokers like you use it to degrade Islam and spread hatred.

Whoever your name is...do not try to hide Islamic fanaticism by voicing one good deed of one Javed Akhtar. What Amaresh writes is correct. Why no fatwa against Islamic terrorists ? Do Muslims keep twisting religion according to their current needs ?

You are writing with your pre-set mind, in you language you brain has been washed about Islam & it's follower. I don't want to say about truth of Islam because non-muslim people who are adopting it can say about it.

But I would suggest you first see in your collar if all above is Criminality that what do you think about criminality before Islam i.e. various wars and before this Mahabharat wars and so on.

Dear Amresh,

I know that you would never accept any argument from anybody which is against your belief of hatred even if it is true. Not only you...but many such fanatics...both Hindu & muslims donot accept ...

There are terrorists in all religion....Bush/Rice/blair and endless Christian terrorists....Bal Thakrey/Modi/Advani/Togadia..and endless Hindu terrorists....Osama/Mulla Umar/Jehadi groups...and endless Muslim Terrorists on this earth......

But they are outnumbered by the number of peace loving people on this earth....be it Christians in majority in the world who donot support Bush and his Ideas or Crores of Indians who donot vote for Advani/Modi etc and keep them out of Power or the Vast number of Muslims in the world(even Saudi Arabia has thrown Laden out)....

as far as name is concerned...I am one of these peace loving Indians and not one of the Terrorists like you......

May god give you the understanding....

Kya firk padta hai musalman ho ya hindu ya christian..we need to change the leadership of this world and the only way to do it is by strenthening UN. which also is not the ultimate solution as long as UN is run by a few leaders from the west. but still that should be the direction of the present political stage.

Protection to Bilwal - Bhutto Family to Contribute
by jamsheed abumohammed on Jan 14, 2008 09:08 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In his teens and still an undergraduate student in Oxford University, Bilwal was made co-chairman of the PPP was totally unwarranted and unnecessary. The PPP played a trick or two. They knew that he will be on target of Jihadis. If he is made a high profile leader, then security will be beefed up for him. Where was the need for him to become a chairman of the party when he is still studying. His father Zardari could have been an ideal choice given his past credentials. He was involved in a number of scams like his wife Benazir. She had swindled billion in kickbacks. Now that she was assassinated she became a martyr but her past record cannot be erased from the minds and records of the government. Prez. Mush was kind enough to withdraw all cases against her and her infamous husband or else she along with her husband could have been in jail serving life terms. The dynastic rule is also prevailing there in Pak like in India. If Bilwal is under threat, it is for the Bhutto family to provide personal security cover and not the government. They have stacked billions in Swiss Bank and let them spend for their son. Why should any government spend for him. Scotland Yard have rightly demanded to meet the cost and they must insist for more from them. Or else let this young man discontinue the studies in Oxford and lead the party in Pak, if he is so wanted in the PPP. Will PPP do this. This is totally absurd in a country like Pak to promote dynastic rule among the politicians. Dangerous.

You are upset that jehadis are not ruling Pakistan , it seems. Bhuttos are the last fighters against Islamic rule in Pakistan . Much as the Gandhis are the only defenders of Indian secularism. In South Asian culture - dynastic rule is the best guarantee that scums do not take over power.

read my post...I have not said a word that Bhuttos or for that matter Gandhis stand for democracy. keeping fundamentalists out is more important than democracy because fundamentalist would mean the rule of the irrational and the uncivilized. Political freedom is less important than cultural freedom.

Bhuttos have got nothing to do with democracy, it is just the greed for power by hook or crook. This is similar to Gandhi dynasty whose pseudo-secularism and minority appeasing is the root cause of poor local administration and poor foreign policies. It is beacuse of this pseudo-secularism that the country lot of secuirty concerns in north and north east.

India is together only because of the so called "pseudo secularism". This makes sure all sections of society feel that they have a stake in the country. The moment one section starts claiming to be the sole "Indian culture" - rebellion and separatism will become strong and legitimate. Much like LTTE is fighting Sinhalas who are against Hindus and want to implement only Buddhism in Lanka.
