India should first concentrate on internal matter. First clear jehadi which are inside then only it can see to the neighbour.

First we should remove desease from inside then go out to cure others.

LTTE and Tamil's Diaspora -in Sri lanka....
by D goel on Jan 04, 2008 03:52 PM  Permalink

Panchkula Afternoon , 3.35pm Friday, 4th Jan. 2008
There is lot of vexed confusion in our care of Tamil Diaspora in north Sri Lanka . India's last few decades policy conundrums vis-avis Sri Lankan national identity and our ABIDING CONCERN FOR THE HUMAN AND CIVIL RIGHTS OF TAMILS LIVING FOR PAST SEVERAL CENTURIES OF MODERN IMPERIALISM. we have naturally to save our own Tamils from getting infected by the terrorist irredentism of LTTE that could create problems ofIndia's own security in several Districts across Palk Striats in the Peninsular India. We do not want to deny Singhalese their rights, but we cannot allow our Tamil -Brothers also to be deprived of their basic civil Rights and cultural Identity of Age-old hindu culture ., The island -nation is in constant civil -War over last several decades.it should stop.
We need to persuade both the majority Sri-Lankan Buddhists and Tamils shorn of exaggeration and hatred find a way to reconcile to live creatively. welfare without Violence and economic prosperity with our helping hand guidance , without favouring one over the other,
With our federal multi-tribal communities and cultures we ought to provide a via-media for healthy federal State System in Sri -Lanka that accommodates all sensitivities of various segmented ethnic groups in the Sri-Lankan communities. We broker peace to the fighting ethnicities, soonest.D. Goel

India's involvement in Sri Lanka
by Shridhar Iyer on Jan 04, 2008 03:42 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and other nations like in Africa, where Indian origin people have been settled for many decades, have been treated like second class citizens in their own country. Clear examples are: treatment of Tamils in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Gujratis in Kenya. The Indian Govt should stand up and fight for the rights of its people with the respective countries. Look at US, UK and how they protect the rights of their citizens all over the world. India has a long way to go forward in this direction.

With best wishes,

Srinivaan.

when you go abroad and settle you need to join the mainstream--choice of settling there was voluntary--you have to obey rules and regulations--you cant start throwing tantrums and expect govts to catipulate on religious or lang grounds.nobody is forcing anyone to live as second class citizens--one can always come back.

India cannot proctect it is own citizens on it own soil how example miniorities are hacked, to the brutality and being targeted by the police on the pretex of getting medals what else you need to see. Then how come india can defend their nationals who were migrated long back ago to other nations it is natures play tic for tact

After 9/11 there was a backclash in US. People were start attacking arabs,sub-continents etc. At that Bush appealed to the nation to remain calm and not involve in riots. in that way Bush prevented riots like situation in his country and will do the same to protect US citizens allover the world.

But what happens in india, leaders instigate people to kill one another and also protect the culprits later. in many forums people like you support the attitude

this attitute has be changed first and should stand protecting indian orgin people in other countries

Tamilians' Fate in Sri Lanka.
by satyendra kumar on Jan 04, 2008 03:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Fully Agree with author's view. India has always submitted in a goat-like manner to all the attackers, be it from inside or outside. And now the power is in the hands of people who would be least bothered in defending the rights of majority community, let alone in India, but in any other part of the world (where the the Indian majority community has got connections), so how the hell India is going to act differently now.

It is amply clear that the systematic annihilaton of Tamils in Sri Lanka is going on not alone with own capabilities of Sri Lanka but with heavy assitance from foes of India. India cannot defend its own territories from Chinese, so how are they going to help Tamilians in Sri Lanka?

It is like having parents who do not care for their children.
The author might also suggest how.

May be china tries to enter sri lanka by defence coperation but pakistan cannot they dont have a stable country themselve. they were dependant on US military aid how will they have a defence coperation with sri lanka. i agree to this article that india must make defence coperation with srilanka after they are fighting to save their land from dividing india goverment must clear the proposal of sri lankan military to buy pinaka MBRL, DHRUV helicopter, INSAS rifle.
