social norms? who n wen was it written? social norm has to get changed as ur lifestyle changes, and u should be able accept n respect others until the changes are harming others directly or indirectly in any society.

If a thief is to be given punishement for stealing, a gay should also be punished for his act. (Since tendency of stealing is also linked to genetic factors, like being a gay).

Only about 10% of them are due to genetic defetct, the other 90% are people who cannot find any one from the opposite sex to copulate. So they copulate among each other of the same sex (since it is easy to meet, in club, at home, in hostel, in picnic etc.).

I AGREE, IT WAS TOLD IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR THAT GAY SEX WAS VERY PREVALENT AMONG SOLDIERS. THIS IS BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT FIND WOMEN. THERE ARE NUMBER OF CASES TRIED BY THE US NAVAL ACADEMY FOR SUBMARINE GAY SEX.

Thinking of homosexuality as a disorder is in the same category as thinking the there is a man in the moon.
People just don't get it, do they? They believe the purpose of sex is reproduction and non-reproductive sex ie non-heterosexual sex, is therefore "unnatural" so a genetic disorder.
Empirical research has proved this thinking is mere superstition. Neuroscience has shown the purpose of sex is neural stability. Reproduction is an occasional side-effect. The neural change is 24/7. The reason why first the American Psychological Association and finally the World Health Organisation were forced to admit homosexuality was not a pathology was that the empirical research proved it was just a piece of heterosexual bigotry. Like white supremacists believing white people are superior.
Come out of the Dark Ages, people, and get with the programme. Read up some of the research and get educated!
