Marathis is US being legal residents, adopt to local culture, language by keeping their own identity and abide by "when in rome behave like romans" Besides it is problem between Marathis, and US, what it has to do with Bihar? Why the hell US will do it for Bihar? Marathis don't demand Marthai being made official laguage of Boston, NY etc, like Bhaiyas asking for in Mumbai

The marathis and other indians in US have gone on proper Visas and are staying there legally with permission of the locals.Biharis here have not taken anybody's persmission. Maybe we can issues work permits to them..hhmm..that seems to be good solution. We will require toilet cleaners and some workers for small jobs. But we surely don't require 25 lakhs.

WHAT !! who are you to give work permits ?? and who should biharis ask for permission? All indians have equal rights to settle wherever they want. Provided they dont encroach on others property. They woouldnt have come to Maharashtra if they had a better choice !! infact they help developing maharashtra. so stop this nonsense.

But do those Marathis have work permit in Maharashtra? Preeti must take lessons. Gujratis, Parsi, bundelkhandi, all are outsiders.

if Quality educated persons come to work here it is fine, even skilled laborers. What we dont need is the dirt and scum which arrives daily in train loads by the 1000s

Hi Preethi, No Indian needs anyone's permission to stay and work anywhere in India. Does a Maharashrtrian in Bangalore or Chenaai or Calcutta require a work-permit to work there? It 's better to get the facts right before posting comments.

If 25 lakh marathis go to a city, form a political party, start insulting locals, start spreading dirt in the surroundings, and make plans to remove local people and culture, I am sure the locals are not going to like it! But the marathis won't stoop to this level. In fact, no other community that is staying in maharashtra has stooped to this cheap level as the UP-Biharis. 25 lakhs??? Does every bihari produce 9 kids like lalu yadav? Anything that goes beyond normal limits needs to be corrected-including migration.

UP and Bihar should be split from the rest of the country. The crime rate,poverty rate,unemployment rate,illiteracy rate will drop down drastically. Also we can get rid of all the corrupt politicians and gangsters who are from the cow belt. The GDP rate will go up even higher and India can get rid of its poverty and become a developed country within a decade.

So true... I wonder why India is country when there is so much of hatred for countrymen. Lets go back to pre British era and sure Bihar will prosper...
The same son of soil issue will be taken in all states and this is going to stress our national unity to its limit. I think we should ignore this guy and stay united to develop a better India.
Coming to the language issue. We should not blame that local language is being forced on us. We should understand the reality. The politicians from that state will always project their mother tongue. So if we are going to a new place we have two option. We should either learn their language or face some minor difficulty in day to day life. So we have to decide between this. I am from TN and working in Bangalore. I have faced the same. But I don%u2019t blame the locals we should accept the reality.
Now people with communal hatred will realise what it takes to build a great nation like INDIA! Dislodge RSS, BJP, VHP, SS, CONGIE and rest permanently to bring back unity, integrity which Great Indian Nation showed against British Raj!

to some extent raj is doing good, afterall how many outsiders one city can bear??? Delhi is one more example of it.
Every year biharis go to their place and bring 10-15 biharis along.
The problem lies in the biharis itself as they themselves think to be a great neta of himself.
Once everyone is a neta than its very difficult to progress, asa netas don't work they just live on other's laurels.

What the hell are so many biharis doing in Maharashtra? Migration is ok..but it should be in some limits. This way, biharis will soon become a majority in Maharashtra and the cosmopolitan financial capital will look like another Patna. Not only marathis will suffer, but all other non-marathi persons in Mumbai will suffer as well. How many Mumbaikars want Mumbai to become another Bihar? Please support Raj.

@preeti i agreee wid ur views about mumbai... but wat happened in nasik is wrong... ppl who have settled already cant be send back... for mumbai we have to start digging and search new cities like Mohenjodaro and harrapa so that we can shift some ppl in those cities... as even space below pipelines is also occupied... one more idea is to put sand in the sea and convert sea into land...
