Maharashtra is the only state where octroi is applicable,(Only ethopia other than maharashtra in the whole world collect octroi)... Many new industrial estates are coming up in north like baddi and as JGN as mentioned in roorkee(for eg asahi glass new plant is also in rourkee ...stopped its operation in asahi taloja panvel).... they are giving lot of SOP to new units,land at cheap price,tax benefits,NO OCTROI, ...while in maharashtra taxes are high,octroi mandatory...now even labour is a problem.... nasik go back to your original activity... start farming/agriculture... There was a story of a Monkey and a Tree in panchatantra. Raj Thackray and these senas etc today burning their own house, have perhaps forgotten that simple story of class 5 text books! Where were these local marathi workers when migrant workers were employeed? Why migrants were prefferred over these local? Now sena wants to introduce them in industries for whcih they genuinely stand as disqualified...they will enter the comapnies and destroy them, will convert comapnies into thackrays running houses and the CEO of the company himself would become a migrant! Companies in future will certainly look for alternate places to invest instead of Maharastra as none can afford to do business in talibanized state of maharastra lackign basic civilized society and where incompetents are promoted and asked for recruitment forcibly with total demise of a true global and cosmo society. By doing this in fact Raj thackray has put marathis into deeper problem and alienation. Also he has proved marathis and their culture as weaker and vulnarable enought o be affected so easily by outsiders(so called!).

you have the right points..... Even the marathi people are not with Raj... This is the work of a few local goons... and getting support from working class who does not want to work hard.... For some reason the Ruling govt is also going very soft on these goons... So the State govt is the main culprit....
sanskrit shud be made the compulsory national langauge and states can have model of three languaes in schools (sanskrit english and local state language),,,coz this problem will not be solved ,,,tomorrow it will be in chennai ,ban and other parts ,,,and most important is politicians in these parts shud take the blame for non development of bihar,,and was it not this same shiv sena that regularised these slums in BMC for power,,,,in satellite pictures taken at night it looks like a big black hole due to non availibility of power in most areas,,,,they shud stop migration on rational basis that a full vessel cannot be used to absorb more water ,,,poverty is the root cause of any migrattion so encash on the natural wealth of bihar and u.p ...give incentives and set up incentives to s.e.z.s in u.p and bihar...
If all other states throw away the marathas and then will the shiv sena produce work for them in their own state... Impossible, and it is not difficult for other state workers as they will find work in other non maharashtra places... If this Raj thakre tricks continued then maharashtra will be cast away from india brothers... Open ur eyes now...

Very true. Probably we have forgotten formaion of Pakistan. Isn't it regretted till date?
With Maharashtrian labour force-that also with a promise of not making union- will surely increase the productivity of the company. Will they not exploit the labour force, if such an undertaking is given? Do not be so meek and don't surrender to the industrialists. It is only a stop gap phenomina. With the increase of Education and latest news, the situation will improve. I have seen in the bordering areas of Kerala, when 10 beedi workers are in an area, 9 of them make beedies and one person only read papers loudly. Every news from tenders to last line. Other 9 persons will give a percentage of their beedies to the paper reader at the end of the day. Next day will be another persons turn. That way every one gets updated.
I think main strategic of centre govt should be to get north Indians states. Also all skill people from north India working abroad or in south India We should make point to have enterprise ship skills develop in north Indian states. With reducing poverty will reduce population problem.
It seems part of the problem is that all major sea routes is though south India. Thus industrial belt are better developed their
Govt should allow major airport/cargo centre develop only in Delhi but all also in all major capitols of north India( Chandigarh, shimla, lacknow, patna)
Let their be more land trade with centre Asia though china & Pakistan. Also a gas pipe line deal with Iran will do good for north India economy.
A sort of competition should be allowed with more powers to states to let people make more decisions in opening industries . A N-Deal passing is must, so that less polluted N-power stations are setup all over India
