1st of all it's not Hikde - it's ikde and marathi language has been developed fropm Sanskrit and not Hindi. Sanskrit is the mother of all Indian languages. Hindi & Marathi are sisters.

Where in Sansktit have you a word like 'Ikde'?
Roots of Marathi are Dravidian. It was later influenced by Sanskrit and was later dominated by the Saskritic content. Still, Marathi does not use pure Sanskrit like Malayalam or Telugu and to some extent Kannada does.
Root of 'Ikde' (pronounced E-kde): E/I means 'this'. 'Idam' means 'place'.
The words 'ivvidam'(old Tamil) 'Ivide'(Malayalam), 'Hikde'(Kannada), or 'ikde' (Marathi) means the same thing. It is the Dravidian equivalent of 'this place' or 'here'.

I am a north Indian and currently in USA.When I was in South India, there was too much north Indian and South Indian things. Now it came to Maharashtra also. Where north Indian will go?
In USA Indian/Sindhi peoples are getting killed. India/Australia match Australian abused Indian.

Inferiority complex is not all that bad. If North had some sort of inferiority complex, we would have found ways to unite, built tech cities, fought to get the top technology money from Central Goverment for BARC/HAL/ISRO for ourselves.
