Rohit kanwar seems to have fled like a coward.

The bhaiyas have a huge contribution to India. All they have done is just reproduce and increase population and then send that population to mumbai. Their own leader laloo has 13 kids on record. Great achievement by the bhaiyas. Keep it up.

Thank god article 370 still exists in kashmir. or else the bhaiyas would have even populate that state and then the snowy mountains of jammu kashnir would have been covered with bhaiya slums with bhaiya shitting in the snow and making the snow yellow.

The 1st Prime Minister of India, whose vision created SAIL, IITs and many more things, was a Bhaiya.

But the sad part is that that very 1st prime minister and his team is to be blamed for forming the states on the basis of language....something which is proving to be a blunder.

You can enforce Marathi in Mumbai but what is the point? Im a south Indian and have many Marathi friends and we all speak in Bambaiyya-Hindi because that is the easiest for all of us.

Do you think it is worth the time to fight for this when there are much bigger issues in Mumbai?

well for a second forget u r bihari or marathi or upians....u guys seen Zakhm..one hindu is fighting for his religion in the end he comes to know his mother was muslim...i think india is one country and u can't have violence among urselves.....if u do u r doing something wrong so please my counrizens please consider my humble request and stop this fighting based on caste, religion , region , based on economic status...we all are human beings ...don't categorised...we can't have everything for our profit...see biharis or up are poor...they r sort of money..so they try to migrate to big cities where they can make their livelihood..its true manner wise they are not gr8 like mahatma gandhi....how can u expect a poor illiterated person behave like a professional..I m sure tht old poor citizens of big cities also don't know good manners....nd overall its our constitution ..to whom we must follow..see its easy to make ur own rules and make judgements based on ur rules...but tht doen't matter for the country...we have to have follow constitution otherwise country will be in mess...suppose maharshtra becomes a separate country..will be as prosperous as today...u guys are forgetting mumbai is only a city..there are rural areas in maharashtra where people are like biharis poor people...and they also migrate to mumbai and india is one country so why can't bihari or up or punjabi or gujrati can go and earn a livelihood and if they do some crime police is their to take care of..law is same

Hindi!!!!
by ShivSena on Feb 12, 2008 07:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

WHy does Hindi take prescendence over other languages in India. MH politicians should take Hindi out of schools like in South India and we should promote Marathi. All signs in the city should only be in Marathi and in English. English only because we want to welcome those Indians who are law-abiding. By having English, we can welcome South Indians and other educated Indians who can't speak Hindi. Hindi should be banished from MH.

Furthermore, English is not indegenous to MH and India. The local languages of Denmark and Iceland survive despite everyone being able to speak English. Similarly, Marathi will survive. The problem is with people from UP and Bihar who think they don't want to integrate wherever they move because their language is "more" official than other languages of India. Why is Hindi our main language, when languages like Tamil and Sanskrit are more older than Hindi. I would rather learn Tamil anyday than Hindi.

Education and speaking English are totally unrelated. Please do not confuse yourself. English is only a language.

You mean to say you will respect a person who is only a 10th standard pass but from English medium but a person who is a scholar in Marathi. You have the typical attitude problem like most Indians who live in cities like Mumbai, where speaking English is equated to general manners and culture.

are you stupid. Most higher education in India is in English. You are taking specific case and not the average. You must have your education from Lucknow.

Your argument shows how shallow you are. I have lived in Mumbai for 20 years can speak Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam, English and French. You must open your eyes and ears and get rid of this typical Shiv Sena attitude that Mumbai is the centre of the world. Sorry to break your bubble, but it is not. Perhaps, if you get a chance go to France, Germany or any Scandinavian country and see for yourself how people who dont know a word of english but much better than the English.

Why waste time on these silly thoughts?
Why not concentrate of something which is productive and useful..

A language is just a tool to communicate and not a issue to fight with.

if its just a tool, why dont we make Sanskrit, marathi, Kannadiga or any other language the main language of India. The problem with Hindi being the official language is that they dont integrate into society. DOnt you think Mumbai should have a Marathi flavor.

Do you think you can force people to speak a language. You may be successful in forcing this on some smaller communities but try doing it on the Gujaratis and they will turn around and kick your backside.

The key motto of Mumbai is 'Live and Let Live'. This is the reason for Mumbai's success so far. If anybody tries to disturb it that is the start of the end for Mumbai.

Hindi is the only language on the planet which more then 80% of Indians can speak or at least understand. But if you look at the other language like English, Marathi, Tamil, Bihari, Punjabi etc very small fraction of Indians can understand them.
