INDIA IS MY COUNTRY AND WE ARE SO SCREWED UP!!!...part 2
by Amitabha Das on Feb 09, 2008 05:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have never been refused entry or work permit in countries ranging into 3 continents and speaking 4 different languages, but I see they were more progressive than my own country India. I feel ashamed to be an Indian when Indians are so eager to tear apart the country in regional lines. To keep a country together and yet not have any collective feeling for its natives is worse than to break the land mass into pieces and allow each ethnicity to screw up their own part at their will. This way, we can all head towards destruction together. Raj Thackeray and all with similar views are no different from the Mohd Ali Jinnahs we have seen and all they want is to be kings of a small kingdom someday, even if the large kingdom doesnt consider good enough. If thats what all sane people start thinking, so be it.Having a 'country' for the sake of it and not having any collective feelings for the people of it is as ridiculous as it can be. Lets break it all into pieces and lets not even talk about India and its cultures and past again. Let all individual states screw up their own 'properties' so we can all head towards a quick and simultaneous destruction. Shame on India, Shame on Indians and shame on me and my birthroots...

Hi Amitabha
Whatever I expressed here is not a personal view against you..Its view against the thought of "being shameful on being an Indian"..Its a pity that whenever a negative thing happen, blogs are flooded with all the more negative possibilities..nobody talks of positive energy..In place of saying shame on India/ Indians, you could have said lets unite together and display the people verdict to these SO CALLED leaders.
Lets not oppose India or Indians( and believe me, there are still GOOD people in India due to which India is where it stands today against all odds).. In place of being against something , lets be FOR something..
Indians take pride in criticizing INDIA/ INDIAN in general..Its easy to criticize anyone..But lets make things more productive..Let blogs be flooded by ideas TO IMPROVE INDIA.
Let the positive energy flow and overcome all the negative thoughts/ SO CALLED leaders..

Hi AL,

Mr Raj is highlighting the thought if you stay in some other state you should mingle in that culture so well that no one can doubt your honesty towards that land. You should be proud of being UPian, Biharian, etc., after being an Indian and Maharashtrian. if you stay in Maharashtra. Similarly, it is for Maharashtrians. They should be Indian, UPian first and then Maharashtrian, if they are settled there. Is there anything wrong in that? This is the way of being true Indian and not making regional differences. It is our duty to maintain law and order and beauty of the place wherever you stay. Don't you think it is high time we should act towards it. Why don't you people understand his stand. He is not against all Non-Maharashtrians but those who are not law abiding. I will give you one small example. Suppose, you have child who is naughty. Your neighbour's child comes and harass you. What would you do? Would you throw your own child out of your house or neighbour's child? You would certainly throw out neighbour's useless brat and try to straighten your own child later. If your neighbour's child is harmless, you will allow him to pay in your house and befriend your child. Take it that way think on that line. Everybody knows what are all politicians. But we need leader in changing the scene. If it is Raj, why can't we give him chance once. After all he is aware that people are no more fool. They are exposed to world and politics very well.

INDIA IS MY COUNTRY AND WE ARE SO SCREWED UP!!!

I feel ashamed at times when i see what's going on in India. From my childhood days we have read about 'Indian Culture' the foundation of which was considered to be 'Unity in Diversity'. I am 34 years old, work abroad for last 5 years and can honestly tell myself that I have witnessed 'Diversity' everywhere and 'Unity' nowhere in my favourite country. We cheer for India when we win cricket matches, but the moment we lose, we take apart Sachin, Saurav, Dravid in a fierce battle of Mumbai, Bengal and Karnataka lobbies. When Dhoni talks too much we want to shut him up as a Bihari...
Sardars are tupid, Bengalis are lazy, Tamils are shrudes, Gujjus are strange, Biharis are worker class, Malayalis are crazy... every class is something bad compared to our own...
We have regional politics that have reached a level where leaders want people from not only a state but from 'northern india' to be thrown out of their state. WONDERFUL!!!
I have never refused entry or work permit in countries ranging into 3 continents and speaking 4 different languages, but I see they were more progressive than my own country India. I feel ashamed to be an Indian when Indians are so eager to tear apart the country in regional lines. Dear Yusuf,
let's not get into who is doing what job... the matter in our messages can also prove our individual worth. The more important thing is that if I could write so much due to free time, you could read it also due to free time. A serious issue about the integrity of a country deserves time, and I can spare some minutes for it everytime it arises... Thank God! I am not that employed...!!!

Calm & quite behevior they call them "BHAU" or Dabewala etc etc....But Mr. Ramesh thanks for your comments if people like you are their in Maharashtra for Maharashtrians it will Unite forever including MUMBAI.

Who told you they hate non marathis or even Bhaiyyas? Marathis are the most tolerant people in whole India. The entire issue is started by SP goons with anti national, pro-paki elements like Abu Azmi. Raj is just opposing to them.

Gong xi fa cai, Raj ! Happy New Year !
by on Feb 09, 2008 05:03 PM  Permalink

Here's a wish to all for good fortune in this Lunar New Year, annum 4706, a Year of the Rat in the cyclical Chinese zodiac.

It is a custom each year to look into the character and traits of the creature that governs one's birth year, and to ask if they might mirror one's own propensities.

The rat, for example, is notable for his guile and clever talk and for being an occasional toady, yet as the year goes on he has the capacity to become an upstanding fellow.

So, happiness and growth to all rats, most of whom will begin celebrating their year, as will we, dining festively on what the rats serve up.
