RE:As Thackeray (s) say, if self-styled locals given first choice

please try to understand the philosophy of thackeray and the meaning of 'domicile'.
All people (marathis, non-marathis, hindus, non-hindus) who have stayed in Maharashtra for 25 years are Maharashtrians. This is as per the constitution. They all shld rightly have a priority as 'sons of the soil' over others.
So don't confuse ethnicity with regionalism. Looks like those opposing Raj and Balasaheb have never been domiciled in any particular state of India !!!! Now I understand the true meaning of being nomadic....

They have done a lot... Changed names of roads, train stations, city..
Banning celebrations like valentines day..
Manhandling innocent couples on Feb 14th, blackening their faces
Forcing people to write the names of their companies, shops in local lingo

What was right in terms of politics to get into front page in 60s is outright stupid in 08. If you really want to flex your muscles and make a name for yourself, why dont you lathi people who squat on the road when there are toilets built for them. If there are no toilets built then bash up municipal officer/MLA and MPs who promised them. Trust me Raj, if you have a crowd behind you, use it for good purpose, dont make them a mob, same mob will get their hands on you too one day. Like it happened to Jr. Yadav. So, grow up Mr. RT
English shud have been the official language from the beginning & medium of education english with mother tongue as second language..then no one can stop India from progressing at rocket speed..but Hindi" created all this inter state problems as we have 26 odd languages & not 100 odd dialects of Chinese..

if you think studying english means serving US/UK, then I am definitely speaking to someone from the Thackeray family.
Dear thackere s, Bombay is an international mega city and Baharastrians do not repeat not have any special place in BOMBAY. The name mumbai should be confined to the lane where bal thackere lives. Madras is not chennai. chennai is the house of karunanidhi . Kolkota is CALCUTTA .
i partly agree with balasaheb and partly with raj. but that should not lead him to pass such a silly statement ; for a couple of years back raj was the political heir and today balasaheb is following the old congress tradition of dynastic rule fully knowing that uddhave cannot conect to the masses. Years back it was pungi bajao lungi hatao, few years back shivsena itself was against the same bhaiyyas and biharis. So Sorry balasaheb you have no locus standi. It was thnx to your announcement of free housing to slumdwellers that we even today see hordes of bhaiyyas and biharis coming to the city and in the same line bangladeshi's. ask uddhav to travel in train ; ask him to get in to a churhgate local coming from virar at dahisar ; its impossible thnx to these migrants.
Violence is not the solution so i dont support raj here but yes he was right in his statements. The Sena chief maintained that his party had never demanded that non-Maharashtrians be thrown out of the city. ''We have only said that if you want to stay here, be loyal to the city and the state - dear saheb can you justify that 70% of earnings of these migrants are going out of the city and 90% of these guys do not pay tax!! what have they given to the city - they urinate, spit and shit where they want, will not think twice to scratch their balls in public!!! how has the city benefitted- locals have lost jobs, airport expnasion - cannot be done, railway lines expansion cannot be done

What do the Indians who go to US do??? They send 90% of their earnings back and don't pay much tax due to double tax avoidance treaty... Do you want them to come back and shut down IT industry

Shashank Excellent Finance Knowledge if you are migrant in india you dont have to pay tax and you can trasfer 70% Earning to there own city Kya baat hai and 90% dont pay tax so that mean in Mumbai only marathi ppl pay tax 100 % hopefully chindambaram doesnt ready this otherwise migrant ppl would be in problem and he might change the rules for migrant
Though I cannot speak marathi (trying to learn) but understand the language when spoken or written. But I am a mumbaikar and consider myself a part and parcel of this state to the core of my heart. I travel widely throughout interiors of maharashtra and love the state and its capital. I cannot be denied the rights as described by Mr Thakarey. Sanjoy Bhattacharyya

very sad Indians trying to prove they are "Indians" with same passport...Do we really need independence from British or better off if they continued to rule 100yrs more after independence like they did with Hong Kong...Kong,improved it ....

You are right, all born & bought up in maharastra and also those residing here must be considered maharastrians!!! Both these uncle and nephew are from same family, hence share identical thoughts.
