Only if the people of Pakistan and liberate themselves from Islam, and return back to Hindu dharma, they will realize that there is no need to be separate from India and hate it. Wish Jinnah had realized that.

indians should first return back to dharma, before we ask others to do it, more importantly those who follow islamized "hinduism" i.e., hinduism which asks for conversion !! "hinduism" which is narrowed by boundaries and books !! "hinduism" which is fanatic.
In my opinion India need not care about pak. India has to think about global competation in science and technology. India doesn't need any help from pak. India's democracy is known worldwide and pak's terrorism is also known worldwide. Now it is the time that india has to dump this SAARC countries and try to get good friendship with developed nations such as japan, singapore, euroeian union, canada, USA,etc.

No! You need Pak! Pak is on the verge of disintegration into 5 dominions.
Then India has to keep fighting 5 nation states than a single nation. And that will be a rogue battle that would sap Indias energies more; it may hurt Pak more, but that is a different issue. That is why Indians say unity and integrity of Pak is in Indias interest.
Use your might to bring Pak and Bangladesh together and assure military safety and cajole them to put resources into development. Use common markets.
Dont get blinded by narrower version of patriotism. Use your intellect to build a pan south asia whose influence extends to middle eat and south east asia. There lies whether you are a statesman or a practitoiner of narrower version of patriotism.
When in doubt always follow what George Washinton did. But for him you would not have the mighty US now.
YOu have an opportunity to become the US of east. The choice is yours-take it or leave it. If you leave it still you will survive and succeed but you will never know what you have lost.

India can work together with countries, which are secular and democratic only. Countries whose constitution defined on a particular relegion can not be suitable for india to work together.

India can become US of east on its own. No need to take or think about other countries, which are interested to become no. one in the world in terrorism. Whether pak. becomes 5 nations or nationless who bother about it? They are responsible for 3 wars with india? India is spending crores of money for military only due to pak. Now pak is harvesting its past. India can observe this and not to involve or not to help anything to pak.
It is Pakistan that needs India more than the other way round.
India can live without Pakistan and still can nuture Islam. If Islam is in safe hands anywhere in the globe it is India! India has the second or now probably the third largest congregation of Islam practitioners!
What goes unnoticed is it is in India the plurality of practitioners of the maximum than in any part of the globe. You have down the in the extreme south the Malayali speaking muslims, to the extreme east the Bengali speaking Muslims, to the west in Gujarat the Khoja/ muslims and in the extreme north the Kashmiri Muslims, besides the Awadhi Muslims in the UP/Bihar and the Hyderabadi Muslims.
They are genetically and racially the widest possible combination; to the negroid closeness of Malayalis,to the Mongoloid closeness of the Bengalis, the cacausoid closeness of Kashmiri muslims!
Indian democracy ensures the survival and sucess of Islam.
Hence, it is upto Pakistan to mend ways and build bridges.
In the whole drama, everyone ignores Bangladesh! Bangladesh has as much population as that of Pakistan and yet the Indian media ignores them completely and is totally obsessed with Pakistan.
Let Pakistan and Bangladesh leave their militant ways and adopt the Indian replica of constitution and return to democracy!
India on its part of a global strategic move constructs strategic partnerships and extends military support so that bot Pak&Bangla can channel resources for development!
Fatima Bhutto's fearles fantasy is very endaring. If only the people of these countries could be left to manage the affairs, there is little need to doubt that the fantasy will become reality. But international politics, whether Indo-Pak or US-Pak or Indo-US, will not let people decide and implement because of the high stakes involved. This history of political interest and power is so fundamental to 'nation-building' that thre is no escape from its pugnacious hold on us. Let there be hope that human nature changes for the better before articulating hope that nationalistic fervours dissipate into friendlier dispositions.
