Disastrous
by Global Analyst on Aug 02, 2008 11:54 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The so-called regrets by Rajini may prove to be disastrous for him.

While Tamil people will have no objection to him apologizing to Kannada people for any misunderstanding in general, what will anger all Tamilnadu people is his praise of Kannada extremists like Vatal Nagaraj & Narayana who are responsible for the attacks on innocent people during Cauvery problem & recent Hogennekal problem.

He might be earning few more crores of money by doing this, but he either lost or will be losing the hearts of crores of Tamilnadu people, including me.

If Tamilnadu people have any self-respect, KUCHELAN will be the biggest failure in his career.

Is this the beginning of the downfall of the phenomenon called - Rajini...?

There could be two reasons for his comments:
1) He has completely lost his mental balance (or)misjudged the fall-out of his comments will have on the psyche of Tamil people
2) He has made up his mind to shift from chennai to Bangalore.

He completely lost his

Thats right what you said,global.

He should not have said what he said. I was shocked. How selfish can one get???

Though his fans might continue to support him nevertheless, I have decided to review my support.

He is a sheer hypocrite and he has hurt the feelings of Tamils in general.

Rajani's apology
by ramakrishnan balasubramanian on Aug 02, 2008 11:53 AM  Permalink

Apologising for the bad language used against the Karnataka brethern is not bad. It's good. But the timing is most important. If Rajani had apologised soon after he made the speech, it would have enhanced prestige. Apology coming at the time of release of his film smacks of opportunism and selfish. With this apology what does he want to say. Does he still stand firm that Tamil Nadu should get the water for which he made the unpleasant comments. A lot of answers are required from him. As a non-resident Tamilian, I don't know how far the people of the State have been benefitted becos of him, but I can certainly say that he has been a bad influence on the Tamil youth. While I feel that the two brotherly states Karnataka and Tamil Nadu should sit together and settle the problems once for all, selfish people like Rajani should not be brought into picture either by TN or by KN

Hang the sottai raj
by Ganesan Ramanathan on Aug 02, 2008 11:24 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

sottai sathyaraj has guts only to attack the Hindu's feelings, and dont have any guts to mention about any other religious principles. There are lot of principles followed in other religions that may not prove to be scientifically correct. So if you are about to priest the people regarding the principles followed from the childhood as wrong, he should be attacking all the wrong ones, but he is attcking only the feelings of Hindus. He would have been hanged or his male organ would have been cut if he is hurting the feelings of muslims in pakisthan.

Though I agree Sathyaraj is no saint. I read somewhere about his speech during that time was full of violence & vulgarity. Rajni's volte face is ashaming. He has just turned over for the sake of money. He is also proving that he is also no saint.

Cauvery water problem.
by true tamilan on Aug 02, 2008 10:50 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I used to hear provocative statements in tamil media and tamil movies about KN not giving water to TN. I used to think KN indeed is bad until I moved to Bangalore.

There is no freaking water in Bangalore itself man. Population has grown and there is severe water crunch. Water used to come once in 3 days. Then I realized how foolish it is to expect KN to give water to TN.

Best solution is desalination plant. When congress govt. came at center and PC made statement that desalination plant is going to be set up. I thought atlast solution has come for the water problem in Chennai. 4 and half years is gone and nothing has come up in Chennai and our chief minister is busy fighting to destroy ramar sethu rather spending 1000s of crores in dredging sand which will benefit only Balu than giving water which is a basic need for the people.

Whom do u blame for this situation?

RE:Cauvery water problem.
by Neutral on Aug 02, 2008 12:50 PM  Permalink

Though I agree with you completely on the carelessness of the TN Govt on the desalination plant, i also feel that Cauvery water should be shared properly by two states. B'lore may be facing water shortage now, but K'tka had problems in sharing Cauvery water for many decades. K'tka builds dams and saves water for future usage...But, farmers of TN are dying without water (both for drinking and irrigation purpose). Is this correct?

Also, people of both states should get one thing hard into their skull .... INDIA IS DIVIDED INTO MANY STATES ONLY FOR ADMINISTRATIVE PURPOSE. ONE STATE SHOULD HELP OTHER AND SHOULD NOT CONSIDER OTHER STATE AS ENEMIES. IF TAMILS, KANNADIGAS, MUMBAIKARS, BIHARIS ETC FIGHT AMONG EACH OTHER, HOW CAN WE AS INDIANS FIGHT PAKISTAN, CHINA AND BANGLADESH?

Very much true.States are dvided for admin purpose only.we keep on talking about such paltry issues like"Rjanikanths comments" and our enemies are conducting series bomb blasts in our next door. we dont even care to catch them
By mistake if any one is caught due we take years to punish them as in case of Afzal Guru
