Brinda is an articulate woman. But she has blown the gaffe like Sushma who has alleged that the planting of bombs as a divisionsry tactic to turn the public gaze from the cash-for-vote scam. After all both are women. They need to be excused rather than harsh words pelted at them on this board. Indira Gandhi gifted away 93k soldiers to Pakistan. Saddam in her place would have relly had these POWs catpeted with bullets and gunned down. The fact remains India is intirinsically unable to match with the chinese fire power. Hence we need some outside help to bolster our defence. The former USSR did not help us, but it was Kennedy who bailed out India in her travails when the Chinese troops were upon us. with our politicians hell bent on cheating the public India will never become strong enough to fight on three fronts - China, Pakistan and intenal terror backed up by ISI/Naxal/LTTE. There is another danger some people in SOuth India are pro-LTTE. Therefore India is left with Hobson's choice to develop strong defence ties with Israel and the USA. Nehru's NAM and Panchsheel were long dumped and theyare not workable. We depended on the Soviets because of the commies. Chinese treachery gave the lie to the Hindi-Chini-Bhai-Bhai syndrome cherished by Nehru. Nehru was never pragmatic. He only ended up having messed up India's future with too much dependence on the communists. The late CPI leader Hiren Mukherjee perhaps had paid the greatest tribute to Nehru.
People of Bengal and Kerala should start thinking about this horrific intelligence of their respected leaders and vote them out. We all indians are counting on you to get rid us from Chinese lurks and 19th century colonial thinking.

Sam, Many reasons why I think you are right.
1) WB and Kerala are laggard states despite years of leftist rule. The left had its chances. Nothing much has come out of them. 2) Both Brinda Karat and Tejendar may prove to be wrong on military bases and American soldiers. US already has a base in Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. For operations in Iraq, they have bases in Turkey and Eastern Europe. 3) I am sorry to say that while Ms.Brinda Karat wears a "serious look", she is NOT serious in her points. Worse, she is more often inaccurate, merely blowing a lot of angry emotions. 4) Tejendar's view of Philippines is exaggerated. In any case, Mumbai and other places have their "red light" districts. Perhaps, Tejendar can do something about them first, instead of blaming the imaginary American soldiers!!

Sounds like you people worried more about capitalist money loving party going americans than intimidating border crossing chinese and bomb loving innocent killing paki terrorists. Good job you people, may be its time for you to have your own motherland.

someone needs to tell this uneducated, immature "Dance" girl that niether indians nor americans are that stupid. And if there is an american base in india, her second lover in china will be dancing on the toilet seat everyday by food poisoning. Sounds like she feels jeolous of the party that she is not being invited to.

Stay, Yes, you may know that the Sino-Pak alliance is driving India into that partnership, you have mentioned.. Israel currently supplies our defence forces some very useful "force-multipliers" and battle-field electronics. I read that at the LoC in Kashmir, Israeli detection equipment has reduced out casualties but increased that of the thugs trying to sneak into our side. The USA has discovered the "double-faced game" Pakistan has been playing with them. USA has every intention of steadying the defence capabilities of India as against its enemies. Of course, a country of India's size and responsibilities cannot rely on anyone totally. Our best bet is to produce what we need inside our own defence factories. I think the GoI should allow private industries to enter defence production and research. They will be surprised by the quality and speed of equipment produced. The alliance you suggest is evolving slowly. Unfortunately, frustrated Pak ISI may let off more Baazaar bombs. We can minimise that too through electronics and high observation towers built at strategic places in our cities.
Brinda feels US troops are looking for "recreation" in India. Only these commies can come up with such nonsense. One look at Brinda and the troops will rethink any plans for recreation.

Bottom line is she want to capture the attention in the media. Nuclear issue became thing of the past. NOW US IS THE BOOGY MAN. She is questioning the intellegence of our people. We need to address the issue of Arunachal.Did she make any comments about that? Did she protest agnist China's statement?
Hi Brinda It is better to be with US rather than your friends From China/Russia.You commies are the Biggest Hypocrats & Enjoyed Power with out Accountability. It is a Pity that People from 2 States drove India backwards for 10 years.Good you folks are out.We can breath freely.
